You can't talk to anyone on the phone. These people are something else. Ice need to come in.

Let me start with please reach out to me Mr. Diego and I am sure we can improve on this. Now, first impression upon coming in was great. 10/10 for the front desk lady, my apologies for your name slipping my mind at the time of review. Then we got to the checkout and that's where things get shifty. First off, they wouldn't let us check if the lugs on the tires fit the car we have when we asked to simply bring the tires back there ourselves (still inside the fenced in juck yard) and just dry fit it on the same year and model. The staff really seemed to not know what they were and we're not allowed to do. Secondly, the price changed on the rims we were trying to buy 2 times and then they denied giving us a military discount even though the sign up front was pretty clear about it. Even after I showed my VA ID. So we ended up paying an additional 25-30% (not gonna do the exact math right now) for something marked for $200. I won't be back as of writing this review from a customers perspective. I will make sure to recommend all my customers to avoid this place as an owner of a used car dealership. Not to mention the veteran community here will also receive the same negative recommendation for this place whenever junkyards get brought up.

Pick Your Part was recommended to me by my mechanic when my car wasn’t worth fixing. They made the process quick, easy, and I was paid fairly for my 20+ year old car. I highly recommend them!

literally laughing out loud. I don't think that this place could get any more ridiculous than what it is now. I guess that's what happens when you're the biggest salvage yard company in the world. We're just little old Greensboro we don't need you guys here, we can bring somebody else in. I guess things are changing cuz I googled it and got conflicting feedback. They charged me $5 and something for each shoe. Each rear brake shoe is a charge. Where I come from and the way they used to do it here in Greensboro NC. They were sold in pairs. Also I made a big deal quite some time ago about environmental fees and I couldn't find anywhere that they were doing anything wrong I guess you could say or choose your own word. But there is no environmental fee on my receipt this time. Also the warranty is a joke. If you don't buy the extended warranty which in and of itself implies that there is a warranty without buying the extended warranty. But you can't return the part now without buying the extended warranty. Okay whatever, I wasn't planning on returning a brake shoe anyway. But just the way that the young gentleman looked down at me from up above and told me I "can't return the park then" that was his answer to me declining the extended warranty. No problem ! $17.05, I spent $3 getting in so I only had $17 in my pocket with my credit card. (I would like to share something with everyone ,my credit score is up to 829) Wow ! look at me ! So I say, as I'm looking up at the young man. Let me go to the car and get a nickel guy cuz I don't want to put a Nick on my credit card. (I really don't want to use my credit card at all if I have cash in my pocket, that's just me.) He looks down at me, smiles, "oh I can't do that." I said what do you mean you can't do that ? I guess he thought that I was asking him to give me the product take my $17 which he already had in his hand and trust me to come back with a nickel. I've been on the planet for 6 and 1/2 decades so I know that I have more knowledge than the young man peering down at me, telling me how things are. Just hang on to the stuff give me my money (he's not going to trust me to come back with a nickel I'm not going to trust him to hold my 17 bucks, and I go to get a nickel. A nickel. If it's drawer would have been short at the end of the day a nickel short he would have been fired. I don't know that and I don't know that that's what he meant but he could not do that. Whatever it is that he thought I was asking him he couldn't do. He couldn't let me go without a nickel. A nickel. Let me say that again. A nickel. LOLOLOLOL and yes I don't use lol unless I am literally laughing out loud. No problem I figured it out first I went down the road and had a great day. My brakes work great. Don't buy from them Africans on English Street !!! They give you an inspection sheet with the vehicle that says that the emergency brake is functioning. I'm a Libra the universe loves us you really need to learn how to treat us. Good luck to you guys you're going to need it.

Not my favorite LKQ site. Mostly because of the checkout area has no counters and the cashier is above eye height and feels unwelcome. Clutterd space and not my favorite. Durham locationis much nicer.

Was told they had the vehicle that we needed wheels from. Got a quote, but apparently that is no indication of whether they actually HAVE the wheels. Drove over and hour just to pay to walk back and find that the wheels were already gone. They don't keep track of what has already been pulled from the vehicles. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere that does keep an inventory.

They want 200 dolloars for miorros that are already used They are more cheaper If you get them inside. Would not reccomend
Dec 14, 2025 -
cant even get a real person on the phone to find out the inventory.. terrible no one wants to talk to a robot

Kelly is an awesome employee, she helped me with the process of downloading your app and walked me through the buying process. She is very knowledgeable and an asset to your Company.

!!!!AVOID THiS PLACE!!!! Bunch of scammers. I brought the part and receipt and they said they can’t verify markings on the part. Declined to refund. They charging for the warranty, what a scam. The warranty is free everywhere and it’s mandatory by the law. I drove 2 hours there to be just pushed away. Never gonna buy anything from those scammers again.

For the most part prices are the same as salvage yards that’ll pull the parts for you. Some are just expensive as new.

They no longer let you bring your dog. And they are more concerned with trying to find a way to dishonor your warranty after they force you to pay for it. I bought a bad transmission back and the guy accused me of trying to steal a valve body that cannot be swapped to any other vehicle. After I showed him this exact information on the web he still tried to make up a fake policy in order to refuse the return. I paid with credit card so I canceled that payment. Don't pay with cash at this location. Go online for the corporate number because they will try to give you a fake one. Any business that makes up policies to steal from their customers isn't worth doing business with.

I wasn’t a fan of the process of having my car picked up then having to go pick up the payment. However, the amount quoted was what I received. Honest people. Would use them again. Very friendly staff.

NOT GOOD! I received an email a truck was to be on the yard May 9. I drove 45 minutes expecting to find said pickup. The cashier said it hadn't been downloaded to the system yet to check the truck rows. I did, twice. Could not find the truck. While walking back to the office I saw it behind the fencing keeping customers out. I asked about it and was told could be 2 trucks. That was not right. The one that I received the email about was not available yet for items to be removed. I asked about if I could just look at it to see if the items I wanted were still on the truck. I asked if an employee could take my phone and take pictures. Both times No was their answer. A manager came out and gave me the company reasons why, could have been reported stolen, not ready by their rules. I was told, in essence, it was my fault for not knowing it wasn't in the yard. I was told " Look on the site and if it hasn't been assigned a row then it's not on the yard". Johnny didn't have an answer for "How am I, as a customer, supposed to know this?" Oh you have to (again) look for the row assignment. I said "So one of your people made the mistake of sending it too soon?" Johnny said we didn't make the mistake. You have to look for the row assignment. Oh please spare me. One of the employees even commented to me that this isn't the first time this has happened that it's happened several times! Customer Care, non existent at PYP. I cannot recommend this yard if this is the best customer service they can give. Addendum: I did reply to the email you gave me only the reply was a canned sales pitch. NO ONE read my message! Useless to the core for customer service! I cannot recommend this company except to stay away!

Was able to get massive parts for my Subaru that nowhere else had for cheaper than ordering they also give a 90-day guarantee highly recommend

I will never do business here. Because their phone system is a joke, a circular waste of my time that never allows for human contact. I take this as an example of how their actual customer service will be, I will never darken their door.

Very easy parking and access. They have new selections often. The area is easy to maneuver and the staff here is super helpful. They offer military and first responder discounts as well. Gravel so not recommended for assistive devices but they could fit without a problem.

Sold my salvaged car here! They gave me the best offer I found after calling around, offered extra for me to drive it in myself, and when I got there the process was quick and easy (and I got the same price they offered over the phone). No nickel-and-diming, just a quick check to make sure all the parts were there and then I signed papers and walked away with a check. Check has cleared now, and I thought I’d just leave a review saying this is a legitimate business (with an official process for buying cars) since selling junk cars to local yards can be so sketchy! Very happy with the transaction.

Stuck around for 4 hours waiting for a DRIVER SIDE fender to be pulled i could have did it myself but they've said we couldn't and they got to do it but we pick it. Fine whatever. Come back for the part and get the PASSENGER side fender instead Went back and said I asked for the driver side , I got attitude from the rude employee behind the window and they told me I asked for the passenger side fender . I said no it was driver side fender I asked for. as the receipt said driver aswell.. he snatch it out of hand after ,i waited another 10 minutes to be told that the person taking off the fender broke his bolt So they didn't say that and gave me the passenger side.. i didn't ask for nor do I need I kindly asked for a refund cause I already dealt with enough from them. The receipt was shoved in my face and he told me to sign. It was originally 114$ I only got back 90$ on refund, they said the charge for them removing the part , THE WRONG PART, was refundable.... Which is unfair really cause that wasn't my fault it's not like I took it anywhere and see if it worked to return it was just the wrong part I never asked for. 3 weeks later I still haven't got my refund. Very unhappy aswell for missing 114$ 3 weeks later at the most 90$ cause stupid employees can't do there job. The place deserves a well below a 0 star.

Do not go to their website for parts pricing. They will may it up for no reason at all. Part listed for 12 and some change they tried to charge 48$ for. This place is one of the biggest jokes of a junkyard. For your best prices go to 109 pull a part. I will not return to this place and the rude customer service that they provided

These guys provide great customer service and are always will to help. They keep up-to-dateel information on what the have in stock and their app makes it easy to set up alerts on cars/trucks you are looking for as they enter the yard.

Big waste of time. The pictures are when they get the car in and not after they place them in the spot. What they do is they set the cars on old rims. Chances are if you need something underneath the car, for instance we needed a rear bump, it will have been smashed in the process of them setting the car down. Definitely call and see if there’s a way to get an updated picture what they have online is not accurate.

Context: for the first time ever, broke off my mirror on my poor camry trying to avoid the dumpster truck in our neighborhood and had to duct tape it to the door till I got to the yard. Well pulled up the website, typed in my car, it showed me the compatible options on the yard, now sadly it doesn't guarantee the part is there, but I was looking for the same paint color replacement so I wouldn't have to order a black one & have to repaint it. So I went in, started from the newest one, which did have one but it was meh, so I worked my way back to the back and sure enough the one at the back had a much better looking one. After taking 4 mirrors off to make sure the connectors were the same, I grabbed the better one. Checked out, and even got the warranty just in case the connector was not working. And thank goodness, it fit perfectly & had power to it. Now no more broken mirror. Even wiped it down really good with the wipes I had in the car. May even spray a little clear coat on it just to better protect it. Also managed to get a replacement rear bumper from them a couple months ago.

BEWARE this place is a SCAM, They do not honor the prices listed online. online price $24.00 | Price at counter is 70.00. Greed is a hell of a thing and instead of making PYP money you got a crusty caliper in a wheel barrel. Never will i return. PULL YOPUR PART in Winston is a far better experience. i also gave every one star review a thumbs up

They are absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! Why would it ever be okay to charge someone the same prices as NEW PARTS. It’s a junk yard, EVERYTHING YOU HAVE IS OLD AND USED!!!! Why would that even be acceptable! They are out here hitting people over the head who obviously are in need to even go to a junk yard in the first place. Tried to charge me 100$ for a USED wheel bearing that’s absolutely crazy! I can get it cheaper than that off Amazon! Definitely won’t be open for a long time. I will NEVER go back here ever again! IF YOU GO HERE EXPECT TO PAY WAYYY MORE THAN WHAT THE PART IS ACTUALLY WORTH!!!!

I wouldn’t recommend coming here to get parts. UNLESS you get lucky and catch the car you are looking for as soon as it arrives and pull the part(s) out before someone else gets to it. You have to go to the window, pay the $3 entrance fee and bring your own tools to remove the part off the car. IF THEY HAVE IT, and then pay for the part before leaving. I came here on twice after putting in the vehicle information and the part I’m looking for. The website would ALWAYS show the part IS IN STOCK and the location of where the vehicle(s) is on the lot. They would have numerous vehicles of the same make and models of some vehicles. Each time I went up to the window to pay the $3 entrance fee and EACH TIME, the lady at the window would pull up the same info on the site showing the part is IN STOCK. I would go onto the lot with my tools go over to all the vehicles that should have the part only for the part I’m looking for to already be out of the vehicle. Just a waste of time. I’m not making a big deal about the $3 entrance fees lost, but they should keep better track of the parts after they’ve been removed. I’ll just stick to auto parts stores or the dealer for parts going forward as I know they will either have them or be able to get them ordered.

The guy at the sales counter is exceptionally rude. I come to LKQ quite often . I will definitely make the hour trip to Charlotte before I ever return to this location management definitely needs to evaluate his customer service skills. I’m extremely disappointed to say the least

It's not the same as it use to be. Staff is friendly and the prices are fair but the location and the corporate office prices are not on the same page. Also make sure to tell them you don't need the extended 90 day warranty as they will try and automatically charge you for that. Some items have core charges also that reflect on your receipt. I've never been able to use my points when I get the chance to use them they told me the policy is no longer being used. They really need better communication with pricing adjustments for multiple items being sold. If I'm buying a part I should be charged for what that part is, not every single additional part on that part. Example buying a brake caliper and then charging me for the pads in the caliper that's nickel and dime craziness! Update: Aug 2023 Lkq just getting worse. Some staff aren't knowledgeable of parts and completely overcharge for parts! I was told $75 for the 20" section needed to make a repair. I really wish they would be on the same page with prices online and at the various locations. The best employees seem to be leaving and it's all downhill

BUYER BEWARE! If you don't want a 90 day warranty (and reading other reviews, it doesn't appear they honor them as they should), be sure to tell the cashier. I was charged over $20 for warranties covering a plastic trunk liner, a plastic trim piece, 2 sun visors and a door handle. I noticed this when I got to my truck, went back in and was told there was nothing they could do since I walked out of the yard. The cashier (he has a big chipped tooth) said he didn't have "credentials" to do a refund, then mentioned I left the yard. I was out of "the yard" for 2 mins max. The customer service there is lacking, so buy there at your own risk. I'll be making a longer drive to 109 U Pull it here on out. Best of luck LKQ and hope you start teaching your employees what Customer Service really should be. Take care of your customers.....they might be the ones keeping you in business (insert sarcasm here).

I hate that you have to PAY for a warranty on a used part at LKQ. It seems like it could simply be incorporated in the part price to start with. Paying for a 90 day warranty on a used aluminum wheel, $5 to have a dry rotted tire dismounted and then being charged a core and an environmental fee adds up. I’m helping the environment by buying a recycled part. But I’m paying a fee for polluting the environment? And is the a core charge due to the fact that LKQ is going to remanufacture wheels suddenly? Overall this location is nicer than the Raleigh LKQ Pick a Part and about on par with the Durham location.
