These guys have been around since I was a kid and maybe before that. They treat you like family and take care of your vehicle as if it's their own. They are quick and very respectful. The second you walk in, you are acknowledged and spoken too. The car tech are so funny. The whole entire crew is great!!
This is a great locally owned business. I've taken my car there for years and they always fit me in and do a great job. I recently had a flat tire and had my car towed there. I was prepared to buy a new tire and they plugged it for me instead and only charged need $22.50. Support your local businesses!
nice people but do not pay attention to anything went to get an oil change and they couldn't even read the oil cap while putting oil in my car that says 5w20 instead they put basic 5w30 after I asked for full synthetic now I have to replace my pressure sending unit and do another oil change
Do not come here! Especially if you have a foreign car. I got my Mercedes towed there on a Friday morning. They said the problem was fixed so my boyfriend paid for it. Come to find out it wasn’t fixed. Instead of them telling us they didn’t know what they were doing they started to experiment (obviously). 6 days passed not only it wasn’t fixed but they created 2 extra problems on top of it. We asked for partial of our money back and they wouldn’t give it back. And then they was trying to make us pay for the car to get towed to another place even tho they already got paid for a service that wasn’t fulfilled. Highly don’t recommend!
Took my car here for 1 problem, left with 3 other problems. These mechanics are either too old or don’t care. They did not take responsibility for the problems they caused the car. They do not communicate to let you know what is going on. Do not bring your car here!!! I wouldn’t even trust the gas the sell. My car had to be towed away from there because of them messing it up.
I can’t recommend Allen’s service station enough!I’ve gone there for inspections, oil changes, and routine check ups before taking a roadtrip to make sure everything was working as it should. Johnny always takes care of me and No matter the service, I know my car is always in good hands. What really stands out is their transparency—they are good, down to earth, honest people with no hidden fees or unnecessary upselling. It’s rare to find a service shop that’s not only skilled but also genuinely trustworthy. If you’re looking for a place where honesty and quality come first, Allen’s is the one! I’ll definitely be returning for all my future maintenance and repairs.
DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Check engine light was on comes back for catalytic converter. Pay 1000$ Let them fix it, drove my car for 10 minutes my car immediately overheats and check engine light comes right back on and had to pull over and get my car towed home. I go back and now they are telling me a code came back for a thermostat when they fixed it but didn’t tell me ANYTHING!!! Nor check to see why it was on. Comes to find out I had a radiator leak. had the nerve to try to charge me another 800$ to replace a radiator. I went somewhere else and got it replaced with the part and the labor for less than 300$ I’m absolutely sure my car never needed the catalytic converters replaced And they totally ripped me off!!!!!!
I went for an inspection and this older white guy didn’t know what he was doing. First he didn’t know how to crank my car and tried to be funny by asking me did I have my car towed there. I had to go outside to my car to crank it for him, he didn’t have his foot on the break when he tried to crank the car. He had my car rolling because he didn’t put it in park.
I recently discovered Allen's Citgo, on N. Church St, when I needed my Nissan and Dodge inspected before the end of the year. Based on the conversations I overheard concerning repairs and pricing, I give them my highest recommendation. I got a welcoming small town feel where regulars have been going for years for trusted service. They have a neat and clean waiting area with an attentive and courteous staff. After the first of the year, I'm going back for oil changes on both vehicles and, if they can help me out, some suspension work on my Nissan.
Great establishment, clean and a nice appearance. I dropped my car off and was given a ride to work, which I truly was grateful for. The staff was excellent and did a great job on my car. They are my forever car mechanics
Had a check engine light come on during a trip to Greensboro. Family member reccommended Allen's to check it out. I stopped by to see if they could do it and they said yes. They sent me inside to make up a ticket and when I returned to the vehicle a tech had already looked at the code and said it didn't make sense and it probably wouldnt come back again. He reset the code and was finished in less than 5 munites total for all he did. Said there was nothing that needed to be done. I went back inside and was handed a bill for $57 and change. I was floored. Autozone would have checked it for free and told me how to fix the problem. I took the vehicle over to another shop not far away and before I got there the light was back on. They told me the code meant I needed to change my oil and didn't charge to read thte code. They did it with synthetic oil for $45. Less than what Allen's charged to read a code! I went on my way and 1000 miles later the light has never returned. Beware of these people. They are not reputable.
BEWARE!!!! Horrible experience! BEWARE!!!! I went there for a $600 job left with needing over 4k work done because of their negligence. Just because they are cheaper doesn't mean it's a good choice. They fixed one issue and created an issue that cost 6x of what I paid them. I should have known something was wrong when I went back, and they wouldn't look me in the eye. If I could leave less than one star, I would.
Friendly and professional. The team at Allen's make you feel comfortable and don't mind clearly explaining what is wrong with your vehicle. They are my go to..not to mention they have great prices. They also stand by their work. If your car is giving you problems I recommend you visit Allen's!
Went to have my vehicle inspected and was refused service because my tints were too dark. However as I sat trying to search for somewhere else to have my inspection done, the gentleman proceeded to service a vehicle with tints just as dark if not darker than mine.
Good people!! They have a family business I think is very hard to find today. You may pay a little more but it is worth every bitI believe in coming back to someplace whose work is done

I am been going to Allen's Citgo for about 3 years now. There is a reason I keep going back.. not only is work completed w/quality at reasonable prices; the employees are very friendly, warm, professional and they make you feel like family. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
These guys have been my go-to place for a while. They don't nickel and dime you or find things wrong to be fixed that aren't actually wrong. They are trustworthy, fast, and friendly. I have had several cars worked on by them. I always go there for my inspections and oil changes and brakes. If there is something they can't fix, they will send you to a reputable place. I needed some work done involving my muffler. They told me where to go and I couldn't have been more satisfied with their recommendation. They are the best.
Spent over 3000.00 to have tires and brakes and other mechanical issues fixed. They never lined up the front end. So tires wore out in 2 months. Took truck back to them they said it did it because it needed ball joints. There mechanic Don said it didnt need ball joints. So i had them to put new tires again. Don said they never lined it up.... so johnny said the first set of tire might have been bad..he said this to cover up a lie that they never lined it up. what tire shop put tires on but do not line it up .. i think he told me that it need ball joints to get more money.. So i took it to Taylors tire they said no ball joints just line it up... sure enough thats what it was.. Spoke with Phil the owner what a joke he is he will not stand behind there work.... Buyer beware..... If you want it done right at a good price take it to Taylors tire.
Yes I could stay closer to my home and have any work done on my car but you can never get that experience with Harley and Johnny any where else. I've probably been doing business with them more than 15 years. They do a great job and Harley always treats me with respect and plenty of laughter!!

I have gone to this service station many times and i have always been happy with their work. I would highly recommend Allen's Citgo. They are reasonably priced, fast and "down home" friendly.
Not only were their prices for towing better than anyone else around, I could not ask for better service. One of my cars is just a difficult car all around - I had 2 that needed to be moved - and it was not an easy job but the kindness and patience Phillip showed me and the care he showed my vehicles far exceeded my expectations. They made a rough day significantly better. I am so very grateful and I highly recommend their towing services.
Had the police called on me after continuously buying to many lottery scratch off tickets. I probably spent a couple hundred dollars on them, bought a drink, and had been buying my gas there as well until now. I was parked on the front corner of building out of the way. The lady attendant was friendly and I didn't think that I was making her feel uncomfortable as I joked around with her each time coming back in and swapping out tickets. Supposedly the owner of the store was watching the cameras and called me in. The police officer was friendly and was more interested in talking about the lottery and told me that he was not asking me to leave. This experience was embarrassing and uncalled for.
tow truck driver came flying through my neighborhood this morning i watched him cut around a corner right through my yard. he was making a left hand turn and was on the wrong side of the road. when i confronted him he denied the whole thing even though his tire marks were leading from my yard right to where he was parked and he denied the whole thing and even had the nerve to say he hadn't even been driving the truck. this is a small neighborhood where children and people are out all the time and his driving was out of control he's lucky he didn't hit or kill someone
On our way to our brand new condo. Literally just picked up the keys. When going down that little on ramp to merge on to Lawndale my tire rod snapped out of no where! Ended up completely screwing up the front right tire. We called Allen Exxon & Wrecker Serivce. They got to us superhero fast; and the tow driver Phillip was extremely kind to us.
He even took a minute to make sure that WE were okay. He got everything taken care of in record time.
The women who processed everything for us (I hate I can not remember her name) not only had great customer service, but was also incredibly personal. Even just over the phone! The price for the tow was not unreasonable at all and I would highly recommend these guy and gals to any of my friends/family.

The customer service we received was horrible. We called ahead to let them know we were running a little late to pick up the truck and she was very rude over the phone. Then when we arrived the first lady we talked to wasn't so bad and then when she asked the one in charge of the rentals if she was free to help us, she sighed as if we were just a big inconvenience. After telling me my card was declined (which I used to get gas right after and it worked fine) she handed us the keys and didn't even tell us which truck it was and wasn't even sure where it was at. On top of that I received a phone call about 3 hours after we picked up the U-Haul asking when we were going to return it, because they double booked the truck and needed it back. We had the U-Haul for 24 hours and of course there was no compensation for being rushed. I would not recommend this U-Haul location to any of my friends or family, unless they are looking for poor customer service and to be harassed about when they will return the truck.
My car needed to have it's radiator repaired. From the time I arrived until my car was finished, the staff treated me like family. They did a great job and charged a very fair price.
