0 less than a week ago , Amazon prime came through my driveway in the middle of the night trying to deliver a package, keep in mind they had the wrong address ,they asked me if they could turn around in my driveway and I told them very politely no because it was a fresh driveway with asphalt millings. And it was also raining really bad, The driver proceeded anyway and got stuck, The company called ultimate towing to pull them out. It made a mess of my driveway and yard I called Amazon prime and of course they told me they would get back with me, I called ultimate towing and spoke to Dennis, He was very professional and very polite from the very beginning ,very sympathetic He asked if he could come out and fix the mess they made just because ultra towing pulled them out.He Came out exactly when he said he would He kept in contact with me and he came by today and done a great job I offered to pay him and he wouldn't let me. They were extremely nice and dennis has done a really great job of restoring my driveway and yard . Very professional very polite.
Had a tire blow out about 20 minutes from their home base the lady who answered the phone was super nice and friendly . They got to me quickly and the driver Chris was super friendly. He took the time to ensure my cars front spoiler did not drag when loading and unloading onto the rollback. 10/10 would recommend.
Got a hole in the radiator while we’re pulling our camper heading on our trip. Called them and they came in 30 min. With the big truck and took us where we needed to go. Very friendly and helpful. Thank you again.

Title: Paid $1,600 for Tow – Our Truck Came Back Damaged & They Took No Responsibility
Review: On Monday, June 23, 2026, my partner’s 16-foot box truck broke down while en route for a delivery. We called Ultimate Towing & Recovery, and the dispatcher estimated the tow back to Concord, NC would be around $500. We agreed, and a driver arrived within about an hour.
That’s when things went downhill.
Tire Damage During Tow. As the driver began transporting our truck, a rear tire on our box truck blew out. All the tires were in good condition with no visible wear or prior issues. We don’t know if the damage was due to how the truck was mounted or road conditions, but the timing was suspicious. Unfinished Disassembly. The tow truck driver said he needed to disconnect something underneath our truck to tow it properly. We trusted his judgment—but when we got the truck back, those parts were never reconnected. Now the vehicle won’t start, and pieces are left hanging. New Visible Damage. When the truck was finally dropped off—about 7 hours after the initial call—it was leaning to one side from the blown tire and had new body damage that did not exist before. We have timestamped photos showing the condition of the truck before and after the tow. Shocking $1,600 Bill. We were blindsided with a final charge of $1,600, triple what we were quoted. When we questioned the amount, we were told if we didn’t pay immediately, our truck would be impounded. We had no choice but to come up with the money under pressure. No Accountability. We contacted Ultimate Towing & Recovery right away and provided photos of the damage. Their response? “Give us your lawyer’s number.” We’re now out $1,600 and stuck with a damaged truck that no longer runs. This experience has severely impacted our small business, and we’re extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism and care. If the company decides to make this right, they have our contact info—but until then, we can’t recommend them to anyone who values honesty, accountability, or the safety of their vehicle.
I highly recommend Ultimate Towing!! Braxton was SO helpful when my car broke down. It was a simple fix but I am not a car person. He stepped in and took over with no judgement. He was kind and courteous and saved the day!
I had a 1949 Chevy Styleline Coupe that didn’t roll or run, has seen better days and needed to be moved from Pilot Mountain to Wards Gap. I was quoted an extremely reasonable price over the phone and Chris the driver called and let me know that he was on his way. He showed up promptly, was very polite, courteous and helpful, in fact he went above and beyond what it took to get the car in my garage right where I needed it, which was no easy task, and he did it with a great attitude with not one complaint! It is apparent that the owners of Ultimate Towing have an amazing company built on customer service, and I can’t wait to do business with you again in the future! Thanks so much!

I have always heard amazing things about Ultimate and it truly saddens me to leave this review but I have no choice. Maybe the manager that I spoke to will keep his word and call me back to fix things - if so I will surely be back to say so on my review but it is my duty as a member of this community to let others know about my experience so they may take precautions in hopes that they will have a better experience than I did.
My vehicle was towed Saturday night from a gas station parking lot after I left it for a few hours to ride with a friend to a dance competition. Now let me just say there were no no parking signs. When we arrived back in town Saturday evening we called the ultimate towing number that the gas station manager provided us with. The lady was very polite, told us she would make a note on my account that we were calling to try to get the vehicle back and because of that she would waive the holding/storage fee. We asked her the price we would be charged total and she told us $150.
I called back on Sunday asking if could pick up my prescription eye glasses that were in my car as I have very poor vision and I was told nobody could meet me at the office for me to get them out.
I also called back on Sunday to ask if my husband could pick my vehicle up on Monday morning as I started a new job and can’t leave to get my vehicle within the companies business hours. The lady again very polite told me to send my husband a picture of my license and that he could call me in their office for me to give him permission to pick my vehicle up.
Fast forward to Monday. My husband goes to pick my vehicle up and they give him a bill for $350. The lady working the desk told him he needed a written note from the owner of the vehicle in order to pick it up which again is not what we were told on the phone the night prior. She then asked for a text message from me stating he could pick it up.
I called back asked to speak to a manager who then called me back. I expressed my concerns I told him what the lady Friday night told me about making a note in my account. We went in circles for a few minutes until I threatened to leave a poor Google review. At that point the manager told me he would go back and listen to the dispatcher recordings from Saturday night and see if there was something we could figure out. I really hope he sticks to his word and makes this right. As a wife of a business owner, this is not how you treat your customers. And I would encourage everyone to make sure you RECORD all conversations you have with these guys for your own legal benefit.
Ultimate do the right thing and make this right. I have lived in this community for 33 years and have never been treated so poorly. I will NOT be made out to be a liar. I will always speak the truth and make sure that others are aware. You reap what you sow.
Ended up needing to be towed two days in a row. Both dispatchers was very courteous and helpful throughout the whole process. Both drivers whom came was great(believe the names was gage and Braxton). Both tows were completed as expected I give the company and these drivers 5 stars and highly recommend for anyone needing a tow
Their driver Gage was quick to arrive (after calling me to give me his eta) and fast to load my truck. Easy to deal with and polite. 100% would recommend and use again.
I was pissed off when I got my girlfriend’s jeep stuck but when Dennis arrived he made it a lot better with his attitude and demeanor. He got us out no problem even with us being in the middle of the woods and price wasn’t too over the top. I appreciate Dennis and all he did for us!
I do not recommend using this company. This is not something I ever do, I would never want to give a bad review to any company. But this truly saddens me, how we have been treated. They are very unprofessional, rude, and lie about what they are charging you. We had a car towed; we called the same day after we got back in town to pick it up and we were told since we were trying to pick it up the same day that they would waive our storage fee. She quoted she would make a note on that in their system, she never made note of that and charged us wayyyy more than what we were told when we got there to pick it up. We were told $150 with our storage fee being waived and charged $350! This is absolutely insane, $350 for what, really !? I mean what a way to price gauge. Customer service was rude, the manager was rude when they called back and pretty much called us a liar only because the dispatcher didn't make notes in our file like she said she would. If they call back to fix things, I will make note of the changes.
Chris with ultimate towing was fantastic. I called at 10:45 at night and he was right on it. Was able to take care of my family in a sticky situation and did it with dignity and integrity! Chris is a great example for this company and has done exemplary service for me and my family! We are ultimate towing people now! Thanks Chris!

While dropping my car for service this tow truck driver asked me to move so he could drop the car loaded on his rollback under the canopy because it was raining & the window was down- so I moved my vehicle. I completed my paperwork to drop my vehicle for service, pulled back around where I felt I left him plenty of room as I was completely out from under the canopy, asking the driver if I was out of his way this was when he rudely replied if the thing slams into your car its not gonna be my problem! I said excuse me, I would certainly think it would be. Apparently this car being towed had a issue maybe stuck in park as he was jerking the rollback bed back & forth trying slide the vehicle off of the bed, I am not a mind reader and didnt know what he was doing or trying to do. I was just trying to drop my vehicle for service and was there before him! And moved for him when he asked me! Then all of this happened - but yet he also let me stand-walk in front of it! Seems that in itself was a huge liability also but he never mentioned that. He then wanted me to leave my keys to my vehicle with him, a compete stranger someone I do not even know so he could move my car then place my keys in the lock box, mind you my car is brand new & coming in for its first service and I have not a clue who this rude man is??….. Ummm no! What gives? This driver was yelling and me and yes this situation got heated when it NEVER should have! I never wanted to be in anyones way but I also didnt want to leave my car in anyones way either or sitting in an area where it could be hit. This man obviously either has anger issues or maybe just issues with women, Im not certain but wow, just wow!
Top notch service and professionalism. They came to our rescue! Was stranded in Mt Airy NC with two blown tires. After 2 hours of no response from AAA, I started calling around myself. Two other companies declined but thankfully Kimberly answered at Ultimate and immediately dispatched a flat bed. She was extremely professional and efficient. Todd arrived within 20 minutes. Very friendly and personable guy who was a pleasure to interact with. He quickly loaded and transported. Can’t thank this company enough for coming through for us as we are out of state and just traveling through. My advice is to skip AAA and just contact this company directly if you’re stranded in NC!
After a blown turbo, Nathan came out and towed my truck and trailer around 50 miles back to my mechanic. He even attempted to assist me getting my trailer to the driver that was supposed to recover the load, which was hot, but the driver didn’t do his part. After calling Ultimate earlier for roadside and waiting at least 2 hours before getting an ETA from the mechanic, I cancelled and called a different company (Smiths Auto and Truck) for a tow and they contracted Ultimate. As bad of an experience as that was, Nathan gave such good service and went above and beyond to help me out, it turned this into a 5 star review. I went from putting this company on my black list to making them a go to
As we were driving back the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the car tire blew. Pulled over on the side of the highway near Pilot Mountain, and called AAA. Blake showed up and took care of us. The spare tire was also flat, so he took us to a nearby gas station and waited until we were able to get back out on it.
Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and able to get us back with a smile. He deserves a raise - a great ambassador for you.
Got my John Deer 450C track loader stuck in the woods, after four days of digging, pulling, getting the dozer stuck trying to pull the loader out, I called Ultimate for help, they brought the right truck for the job. Their guys were very professional and got the job done quickly and for a very fair price. Hope I don’t need you again, but keep the phone close, I’ll be calling when I do need you.
I forgot the drivers name but he was great! Very professional and arrived before estimated AAA time. Hopefully I wont need their services again but if I do, I'll definitely be using them if a tow or other service is needed.
Very pleasant and professional people to deal with. Shawn came up to Fancy Gap towed my rig to their shop do to a blown air compressor, constantly kept me updated on the progress, great guy!! THEY HAD A MECHANIC COME IN ON JULY 4TH AND COMPLETE THE WORK to get me going on my way WOW!!! If it was some other shop I'd be stuck there who know how long. Big thanks to Shawn and UltimateTowing I would recommend these guys over ANY others in the surrounding area.
