I was in a bad situation today with a flat tire off the rim. After a failed tire changing service, that had me wait for quite some time on the side of the road, I was fortunate to find Hefner's towing. The long story short is this; Bill, who dispatched Jay, the driver, was very kind and sent Jay on his way to me immediately. Jay, was very kind and took good care of my truck & me, and did it quickly for a very fair fee.
May God bless them both for their excellent, prompt service and kind treatment of me today.
I would give a 0 star if it was possible. Do not use this company or if you do be very cautious!! My truck broke down yesterday (8/7/2025)and I went through my insurance to get a tow, unfortunately they chose this company (which they will no longer be choosing as per my request moving forward) the tow truck driver was really nice and on time with his arrival however I question if he’s a professional tow truck truck as I’ve towed my truck many times and they’ve always only hooked it up around the tires nor have I ever had a tow truck driver cause damage like this one did, however this guy decided to hook a winch or some time of hook to my front bumper and caused damages to the hook and the frame around the hook. I even called the tow truck driver out on it when he dropped it off but he didn’t seem to care or take pictures or say I’ll let my boss know so we can get it fixed I got nothing besides oh you can bend it back with a hammer or something um not when he broke the hook to the point it’s hanging out from the frame. I ended reporting it to my insurance for further investigation. Be sure to take before and after pics as well like I did every time you get a tow for this very reason!
Insurance finally came out to asses damages and they did $992 worth of damage, insurance is handling everything on my end with making them pay etc.
Tristan was absolutely awesome. I used my AAA app after calling everywhere. Even called this Heafners before I called AAA to be told it would be several hours before a driver was available. Dispatch was RUDE I mean I know it was super late but yall are open 24/7!
Anyways AAA dispatched Heafners and Tristian was there within 20 mins with a smile on his face. Very polite and professional. I’ll be the one known for giving him a redbull at 6 am lol
The folks at Heafner’s Towing have been amazing, I was stranded trying to get my little girl off to school and they responded within minutes, cared to know what was wrong, Hunter the driver was knowledgeable about cars, helped get me connected to local mechanics, when my car had to be towed from one to the next, they took care of me, no questions asked. They were quick to respond, professional and seemed to truly care. I won’t use anyone else god forbid I need em again and will be highly highly recommending them.
We had to call heafner’s towing today unfortunately due to being broken down on the side of the road. Tristan is the gentleman that came and towed us home. Very respectful, kind, professional, and genuine. Y’all should value employees like Tristen
i wouldn’t recommend this company the driver they sent out was really unprofessional actually pushed my husband and swung on him i called the police and and was told by the responding officer that the driver has had multiple complaints with them since they choose to continue to employ him i wouldn’t really them
Lock my keys in the car and they sent a gentleman from Hefner's I think his name is Smith Sealcoti. He took maybe 10 15 minutes tops to get here and my door was open within 2 minutes he was very hospitable very professional clean and quick I would love for you guys to give him a dollar or two raise cuz those are the type of people that will make people keep calling your business and referring others to your business thank you so much for helping me out with the gray Kia Sorento
Earl was nice, understanding and kind!! He stopped to check on me even prior to me submitting a AAA request. They towed my car in the pouring rain and still were professional and helpful!!
The first two tow trucks could not help me out but Stephen came in and saved the day. He was very professional and very passionate at his job. He was not going to leave without my car on truck! He took exceptional care with my vehicle and even sent me photos of it's safe delivery. Stephen deserves the ultimate kudos and thank you again!!!
Super mad they towed my car. Charged an extra $50 because the keys weren’t in the car. Pretty stupid. What car that gets towed unknowingly by the owner has the keys in it but whatever. Staff was honest. My temporary plate was ripped off they said it was like that so assuming that Southwood Reality the management that got my car towed. Saying it was abandoned (lie) is to blame.
Steven was very professional, friendly, and fast. The first driver was a no show. Steven gave me a courtesy call and was there shortly after. He was outstanding!

She went above and beyond on the phone with in helping to make arrangements and was sincerely friendly and polite. Gary, the tow truck operator, was an hour early (helping me to keep my days going), courteous, friendly and true professional. A fantastic experience all around. I definitely recommend Heafner's Towing without hesitation for anyone needing towing services in the Gaston County area.
It is my decision to share that I received services from Heafners Inc, Towing & Services. I am not sure of the professionals name that helped me, but it was at the Exxon gas station.

Having to tow our truck for a second time that Triple A wouldn't cover as we explained to Jason, he listened to our displeasure and was very empathetic. Jason was very pleasant to speak with and so helpful. I can't say enough good things about him. He was friendly and sympathetic about our situation. My wife and I want to thank him for his help and caring as well as keeping us informed as the truck was en route to the new garage we had to get it to.
Roll back driver on Highway 49 in Clover SC cut across 4 lanes of traffic from the apartments to the 7/11 service station and never looked. He almost got sideswiped by 2 different drivers and when an attempt was made to report it, the company did not care. Much better to use a reputable company that shows that they care about themselves, otherwise they will never care about the vehicle they are transporting.
I’m very impressed with the service from Daniel and Jason on a busy Friday morning. AAA connected me to Heafner’s where these guys took excellent care of the problem! Thank you!
My friend had an issue with her car on a Sunday morning. She had an unrepairable flat tire. Jason, the driver, came out and towed her car to a repair shop. He was so nice and helpful. I can't say enough good things about him. He was friendly and sympathetic about her situation. I want to thank him for his help and caring.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I started the process of getting my car towed through my AAA app. After 2 automated phone calls within the first two hours informing they were still working to find a technician and my request was still in the queue, I finally had to contact AAA after not receiving any additional updates after 3-4 hours. The lady was very nice at AAA and resent my request to dispatch. Around 7 PM, another AAA agent called to see if I had been helped since 7 hours had passed, and noted she was going to contact someone to have my car towed since no one had assisted me yet. A few minutes past, Daniel from Heafner's Towing and Recovery called and told me he was few minutes away. After a brief conversation on the phone, Daniel was very unpleasant and rude to talk to. He arrived and he was just as rude in person and more abrasive. I tried to show him where my car was and talk to him but he was passive, stared me down, or cut me off, looking and talking down to me like I was stupid. I followed him over to give him the key and I told him I'd follow so I could drop the key off when he was done, to which he took my key and walked away and rudely said he would need it. The entire time he treated me like an idiot and was horrendous to work with and was completely unprofessional.
They were dispatched through USAA and had quick, reliable service. A guy showed up and knew what the problem was, good dude - wish I caught his name. I’d call them again even if insurance wasn’t involved.
Placed a AAA claim tonight to get our car towed to a shop after the radiator let loose. At about the estimated time of arrival we get a call from the tow truck driver saying that the dispatcher wouldn’t allow them to take to it the shop we requested because they didn’t feel comfortable taking it to a lot and leaving the car outside the gate after hours. Which I get but we told the driver we would be following them down there to drop the keys off in the drop box and to lock up the car. The tow truck driver said he’d check with his dispatcher again only to be told they wouldn’t be able to do it. So pretty much left our car stranded, I don’t understand how leaving it at a lot without a gate would be any different than this situation. Especially when we’ve taken the car to the shop after hours before and there’s a customer drop off lot in front of the gated section. Heafner’s let us down tonight. Definitely not impressed.
My call to AAA on a Sunday morning resulted in Heafner’s Towing being dispatched to tow my car. Chris arrived in the time expected. He was friendly and worked quickly. He delivered my car directly to the auto shop without delay. Chris is the man! (Given some of the other reviews that have been posted, it’s nice to be able to share what a great job they did!)
The best ever!!! Joe was the best guy and had the best customer service around. I was stuck on side of the road and he went above and beyond in the 100 degrees heat to get us taken care of. He went above and beyond to get us taken care of. Joe made sure my two boys and I were safe and secure inside the cool air of the roomy tow truck. He even offered my toddler a kid showed to watch, while we waited in his truck through the process of loading up my vehicle. I had the worst luck that day until they showed up. I had a flat and not spare, Joe did all he could to make sure that was the case. The company is very professional and has your best interest in mind. Ask for Joe to help you he'll definitely get you taken care of. He'll get the job done right!!!
I blew a tire on thanksgiving on I-85. Hunter was my driver. He came out quickly and loaded me up on the interstate shoulder. Very professional and friendly. I felt bad since it was a holiday but he was very helpful and made sure my car was towed to a safe place. He provided me with an excellent job and great customer service. Highly recommend!
Haven't needed a tow company in years and I don't normally write a review but I felt that one was really deserved for these guys. Greg Hunt and Jamie were really great!! If I could give them 10 Stars I would! I don't know their other employees but after my encounter with these guys I would recommend them all day long to anyone. These guys really know their stuff, are careful and are just downright good guys!
I have AAA and when I put in a request for a tow to get one of our vehicles home from out of town, Greg came to the rescue from Heafners. He was so nice and very professional. It was the day before memorial Day so the shop wasn't open and had to tow the car home to later tow it to the shop. Did not want to leave the vehicle sitting in a parking lot for days.
A couple days later I put in another request for a tow to get the vehicle from our house down the road to the shop and Jamie came to the rescue. Again he was so nice and very professional.
