Do not waste your time going to this place. Their prices on scrap metals are good, but their workers are very slow and don’t care how long you wait. I had one person in front of me and I waited for over an hour before they even weighed my items. I got there at 1:30pm,I didn’t leave till after 3:00 pm. I could see it taking a while if they were busy, but it was a very slow day. They just don’t care about their customers. I was going to bring another load of scrap in , but they took so long and the scrapyard closes at 4pm, so I had to take it down the road to another scrap yard that closes at 4:30. Man were they fast. I was in and out in under 15 minutes. They pay less then metal recycling services , but definitely recommend Foss recycling over this place. They understand the importance that time is money. I would not recommend anyone going here unless you hours to just sit and wait.
I was there last week and I was completely scammed. I had a 50 lbs of insulated copper, and I know this because my work has a scale itself, and I weighed it before I left my work. The small scale operater was rude and weighted my insulated copper at 13 lbs. He struggled to carry the wire, and your telling me it was 13 lbs.... common. I was blatantly lied to in my face. BEWARE! I'll never go here again. Also make sure you have fix a flat if you go here. A flat tire is almost garrenteed. Complete B.S.
Terrible experience and almost a 2 hour process for a small load. Very frustrating experience and unorganized company. And employees are rude and not very friendly to the customers. I hope this review makes some changes with the company.
On fire again(2nd time in last 4 years) spewing toxic smoke all through Gastonia and have all the fire departments in the area, maxed out to their limits. There is hardly any fire hydrants available around your property and that needs addressing. Contracted semi trucks that bring the scrap metal are always speeding (crashing) and losing their loads all over the area. Very poor stewards to the area and the locals.
Easy place to do business. They are diligent in their duties of making sure to identify sellers of any stolen property! Really fast purchases and they also have an cash machine on-site so I don't have to accept a check incase I need cash.
First time customer. Great staff. Special thanks to Keith. He went out of his way to make sure I knew where I was going and helped me. As far as the roads; they have lots of traffic from large vehicles and yes there are pot holes and it's muddy after raining and dusty when it's dry but it's a metal recycle center. They're prices are competitive. They're staff is knowledgeable. I will use them again. As the sign says, Welcome to paradise.
Absolutely a poor service! When you pull in automatically you have potholes everywhere after you spend 20 minutes on the scales to go down to unload you have to go through 40 mud holes! The dust is unbelievable! Their own employees make statements about the sorry management and maintenance of the yard and the equipment ! that's pretty bad! They get one star because you have to wash your vehicle to go unload one load!
First time I have been there. Really nice people and very helpful. Willing to answer questions. Great prices too. Will be talking all my scrap to them.
Scales are off employees are terrible when I told the person there scales was off she lied her head off i came across to scale out and was 8200 she flashed the green light then when I got to the small station to do copper and they told me to go back across the scale and I was 200 lighter keep in mind didn’t touch anything definitely wouldn’t recommend state line
Very easy place to do business with and the people there are actually a little friendlier than I expected being a scrapper. Prices are fair and it's easy in and easy out.
Awesome staff, great company to do business with! Fair prices, and they really understand the value of and care about the people who come through the gates.
