Little Mike took good care of my Dad, until I could get there to pick him up, from broke down on the road. Little Mike was very courteous and professional, not to mention a very reasonable price. Nothing but five star service here.
Lantz’s towing has continued to get me out of a pinch! Even with very short notice, James was able to get a flatbed out to one of my job sites and towed one of my vans back to NC to an auto shop. Can not recommend Lantzs towing enough to anyone who needs their services!
Lantz’s towing and Kevin were amazing on this cold day, today. I got a flat on my way home from work and was concerned about being stuck on an unfamiliar road in the dark. Lantz towing was there in 15 minutes. Kevin was great , very friendly.

Tim with Lantz towing came out in the worst conditions of the most recent snow storm to help my wife and I when we slid off the rode and got stuck in a snow drift. Not only did he provide a quick response to get to us, he also was very safe in how he pulled us to back to the road. Thanks to Tim and the Lantz company for their help. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
The worst experience with this tow company. I filed roadside assistance through my insurance for a flat tire and they sent this company. My husband was at work so I was home when the driver came to change out my flat tire. He was swearing under his breath because he couldn’t get the spare tire lowered from the under the truck and said to me” this isn’t my job. I just come replace it. It’s your job THE OWENER to get the spare tire lowered. I just replace it.” What if I was a 90 year old who couldn’t get the tire down? And nowhere when I filed a claim did it say I had to have the tire down. He made comments how it’s not a Chevy or ford (it’s a Toyota) and he doesn’t know how to do it. I was home by myself with two young kids and he made me so upset I had a family friend come over who told him to leave and he fixed it for me.

I accidentally locked my keys in my car today and panicked, but Lantz Towing came through immediately. Emily answered the phone and was so kind, calm, and helpful. She sent a driver right away, and James showed up fast and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. He got my car unlocked in no time and made the whole situation way less stressful.

I know, I know. Nobody likes a,tow company. Because when you're dealing with one, you're not having a good day. But look, lantz was kind, respectful and treated our broken down vehicle with care after hitting a deer. The price they charge is fair market value which is not cheap. Any negative reviews are probably from people that got towed for dumb things

James at Lantz’s went above and beyond for my cousin and I when our rental car stopped working in the outer banks on our vacation . James towed our broken rental car from outer banks to the Norfolk airport to exchange it for a new rental car. When he got to the Norfolk airport the rental company tried giving him the same type of vehicle with the same problem. James said he wouldn’t take that car back to us and have the same thing happen. He waited for them to get a new car that they knew worked. He then drove back with a working vehicle and saved the rest of our trip. Thank you James!
Excellent service. My Mecerdes was stuck in mud. Long story ?. Anyway, every other tow company kept giving me rhetoric about being off a “paved road”. This guy showed up in his 4 wheel drive, hooked my car, and freed it literally in seconds. Bad assery at its finest! Salute!!

Believe it or not, I have used Lantz’s towing more than 5 times in the past few months. Dealing with my car breaking down, towing it to my place, towing it to the mechanic, towing it back, AND my husband’s car breaking down is rough. But working with Lantz’s isn’t. We call, they usually show up within 30/45 minutes, and provide top notch quality service. So while it sucks that your car may have broken down, their service and help definitely doesn’t. If you need a tow or other services they offer, you definitely can’t beat the quality, timeliness, and good pricing.
We were stranded in northern NC with a truck that would not start. Being 5 hours away from home, they not only took us to a dealership that was unable to see our vehicle in a timely fashion but they also were able to tow us all the way home. They were quick to respond as the temps were in the 90s and we were traveling with a toddler. They took exceptional care of us and got us all the way home. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Both drivers that assisted us were wonderful and they even sent a second truck that was much more comfortable for the ride home from the dealership. Highly recommend!!!

We were referred to Lantz’s Towing when we needed a tow truck ASAP. We called once and was able to discuss our situation. They asked for a picture to see what they would be dealing with. They said they could do it and quoted a very fair price. Once we accepted the quote a driver was dispatched at around 7:22 pm and arrived at 9 pm. I’m not sure where the driver came from, but he had to go to Chesapeake, VA then drop off in Gibbs Woods, NC. Very professional and will use them again should the occasion arise.
I hit a deer and asked the insurance adjuster for a tow, because of the damage I did not feel comfortable driving it to Elizabeth City to the repair shop. We were headed back to Frederick, MD from a wedding in Corolla, and got stranded in Moyock. I gave Tim a call and he came in thirty minutes, towed our car, and drove my boyfriend and I to the nearest auto repair center to get it repaired. He was personable, funny, and an amazing person! We consider him a blessing for being there to help us out being so 4 hours from our final destination. We highly recommend these tow services, it’s rare these days to find nice tow drivers! He was the best.
Won’t get too specific for possible legal implications, but I can say that it’s best to assume signs about road work are valid even if a previous sign casts doubt. Anyway, I had two very nice, understanding, and professional drivers/operators help me out of the predicament my impatience put me in and did so in a very efficient manner which did not damage my car in the slightest. I clearly hope to not need another tow any time soon, but if I do I’m going directly to calling Lantz’s towing.
My wife and I live in Elizabeth City, NC and were stranded over 90 miles from home in Virginia. Our insurance company contacted Lantz’s Towing. Their Technician, Kevin was exceptional. He arrived as soon as possible, made sure we were okay, then loaded our vehicle onto his tow truck. He helped me get my wife and I inside the cab and participated in friendly conversation through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and into NC where he ultimately deposited us, car and all, at our residence. His professionalism and ability to comfort customers made the ending to my wife’s birthday trip a positive experience in spite of our vehicle breakdown. While traveling on I264, I experienced an unexpected delay due to my vehicle malfunction, but Sir James arrived earlier than anticipated and expertly managed the situation, effectively reducing my stress levels. Moreover, he graciously offered me a ride home, which was greatly appreciated due to the late hour. His service is outstanding! I can’t thank him enough.
Front left tire of our Van exploded on our way down to the Outer Banks from Washington, DC about an hour before our destination in a mostly rural area. We called Lantz’s Towing and they arrived at our location swiftly and not only got us to where we needed to go but provided very helpful guidance on how to proceed with getting our vehicle fixed in the area (thanks Tim!). I would 100% recommend Lantz’s Towing as they are not only helpful in their service, but also kind/friendly to work with and very understanding of a traveler’s situation when something unexpected happens to their vehicle hundreds of miles from home.
