Great place to take your Class A RV to get the state inspection done. I could not find any other place in Currituck County that would do it. Called a few days ahead of time for an appointment and was in and out in 20 minutes. They were great! Highly recommended.
We were on our way to the beach and ran over a sharp metal object that punctured the rear tire on our Subaru. Raymond and Josh promptly removed the damaged tire from the wheel and repaired it so my wife could get to take a walk on the beach before the weather turned bad. We live in Catawba county and my wife has had three knee surgeries and three hip surgeries. She was looking forward to getting to spend some time at the surf, because we don't get to come very often. I was on vacation and had some issues with the steering wheel shaking and the car leaning. Beach Ready was able to get me in quickly and had the issues fixed that day. The price was great too.
Beach Ready Automotive is a great place to get work performed on your vehicle. I was visiting the Outer Banks, and my starter went bad. with one phone call they were able to squeeze me in due to my schedule. After i called they took my info and within a half hour they sent me a quote that i say was very reasonable. After getting my truck in the shop it took a little more time then they had original thought not to long, but they did not charge me extra they kept to the quote and I was back on the road the same day. They were professional along with friendly attitudes. It is a good thing to know where to go in case something was to happen again while down here.

Great team! Our vehicle broke down and they troubleshot the issue with us over the phone. We were from out of state, so we had it towed to the shop. They stayed in communication with us through the process. They got our vehicle back up and running again and held it for us until we could get back in town. 10/10 Would recommend!
I was vacationing in Corolla and found out late Thursday that my truck would not start. I contacted Beach Ready about 8:00 am on Friday. They suggested Setos towing, who came sooner than expected and got the truck to Beach Ready by about 11:00. The truck needed a new starter. They had it done about 3:00.
There service was excellent, they were great to deal with, and the price was very fair. The cost for towing about 30 miles was also very fair.

A business built on integrity. The owner and all the staff directly made sure that I left happy as can be. 10/10 recommend! They also have great fish tanks and waiting rooms :)
Charged me $1,000 and the "fixed" the wrong wheel bearing. Didn't actually fix anything. Had to fix the correct wheel bearing after I drove it back to pennsylvania. When I did the work I discovered that they torqued my lug nuts down to 500 ft lbs. I actually measured the torque to loosen the lug nuts with a calibrated torque wrench and it was atleast 500 (maxed out the torque wrench). Those are just the ones that didn't strip when trying to remove them. Today I get to cut the studs off the ones that stripped out and fix that myself too. I do not recommend this tourist trap. Buyer beware!
After getting jerked around by multiple other auto shops. I went to beach ready. They test drove my car with me in it. Witch I appreciated alot. And Quickly identified the issue that no one else could find And got it fixed ASAP. Def recommend this place. Best auto shop on the beach in my experience. And I went to like 5 of em all for the same issue
We had a fantastic experience here. We were on vacation staying in the OBX.
I realized I had forgot to change the oil in my truck when we were nearly at our destination coming from Michigan. We needed diesel service.
I called on a Tuesday morning and they had an appointment available for me by Thursday morning.
We showed up, they had us in right on time and back on the road fast. The price was well below what I pay in Michigan.
The shop was clean, there were two waiting rooms, and a tv if we wanted it.
They did a phenomenal job and would recommend!

Accurate diagnostics, fair prices and always pleasant to deal with. One of my vehicles is 20 years old with some parts no longer sold. On one particular occasion, the owner personally scoured junk yards within a 100 mile radius until he found the needed parts.
The owner here showed compassion and responsiveness. I'm from out of town and was trying desperately to get someone, anyone to help tow us out of the sand. I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised that they responded back taking the time to wish us well on our endeavor even though they were closed and weren't authorized to send services. The owner still took the time to respond back with kindness and encouragement. Shows that they have heart and really do care! Even though I wasn't a customer!! Good to know there's still kind hearted people in the world
Drove almost an hour off the island to this shop on my last day of vacation as my Jeep was acting up, I wanted to ensure that my long journey home was going to be safe.....loud constant ticking noise was coming from underneath. The mechanic took time out of his busy day, right before close on a Friday before the holiday I might add, to go over my Jeep and address my concerns. Giving me peace of mind for the long haul home made me feel so much better and I can't express how thankful I was that he went above and beyond to do so. Friendly staff, clean shop, and I highly recommend whether you are a local to the area or here visiting.
If I could give 10 stars I would!! Our family traveled 5½ hours from Maryland with no AC. When we got here the temperatures wer 90- 100. This place was the first place I called. Went in and made an appointment for the next day at 10:30. 5 different places told me they had no openings. This place took our vehicle and went right to work ! Got our AC back up and running in no time less then 2 hrs. Good friendly people, waiting area is very nice ?, beautiful aquariums. I didn't even have time to get my coffee yet for the day, didn't need to worry though they had coffee there. Thank you very much. Highly recommended

This place and the people who run it are amazing! Jean, Gloria, Raymond, and Jonathan’s actions today were truly heroic. Jean risked his own safety by pulling off the side of the road when he saw us stranded with 2 blown tires not far from his shop! He offered sound advice on what to do and then had Gloria come pick me and my kids up and drive us to his shop while he and my husband slowly drove the disabled vehicle back to his shop for repairs. The team at his shop were very professional and had the blown tires replaced and the car back on the road within an hour. We are forever grateful for their kindness and would highly recommend anyone looking for an honest, capable, efficient auto repair shop near the outer banks to look no further.
While vacationing in the Outer Banks, I had a small fender bender. I called Beach Ready and spoke with Raymond. He told me that on my return trip home, I should stop by, which I did. He made some temporary repairs, within one hour of my arrival, which made it possible for me to drive safely home. Very friendly and responsive! Highly recommended.
I want to thank everyone at Beach Ready Auto Repair! I was there for vacation after just having my car serviced before my trip and had an issue with the tempature housing and overheating. This was the only shop with available appointments after calling around for an hour. Great service, happy people, and wonderful work, they fixed my car (to great condition, drove almost 1,000 miles after the fix was completed) all in the same day. I highly recommend this buissness to anyone and if I ever need anything more again in OBX, this will be the first place I go hands down!
My husband and I arrived in Corolla for a week long vacation. The day after arriving we came out to a flat tire. We noticed there was something stuck in the tire. We had to call roadside assistance but all they were able to do was put on our spare tire. We could not drive back to Delaware with a spare so we went in search of a repair place. We came upon Beach Ready Auto Repair. They were so helpful and repaired our tire and replaced it in a matter of about 15 minutes. They stayed past there closing time to assist. I was in a hurry to get an oil change. They took great care of me and made sure I made it to my next appointment on time. The office and waiting room were clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and had great customer service. They provide a variety of services and I'll definitely use them again. I was more than satisfied with the price.

Worst repair experience of my life! while replacing my starter they broke the air pump and glued it back together (see photo) / they made no mention of their rig job to me. Naturally the glue didn't hold and I had 4 warning lights going for my entire 8 hour drive back to Charlotte. The owner "Jean" took responsibility for it but has never reimbursed me for the $1,400 my Charlotte shop charged me to repair Beach Ready's damage and their customer service person "Gloria" also promised to pay me - nothing - so Beware!
My mini van had an odor of gas after a long drive down to the Outer Banks. I looked on-line for an auto repair shop and picked Beach Ready Auto based on the reviews. I am so happy that we chose Beach Ready Auto. The place was very clean, professional and friendly. They understood that we needed the car fixed quickly. Unfortunately for us we needed a part that would take 2 days to get. I tried renting a car but none were available. The owner who couldn't be more pleasant, friendly, and accommodating GAVE us his car to use for the 2 days. The car was fixed on schedule and we were very pleased with the work. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a good reputable mechanic. If Jasmine the dog is there, make sure you say hi. Thanks again to Beach Ready Auto.
Beach Ready Auto is the best auto repair shop EVER. Not only are the people amazing the quality of the work is off the charts. The new Owner has been with the shop since the beginning and the pride he has always shown in his work carries over to the shop. Amazing mechanics!! who will take the time to explain to you what is actually wrong with your vehicle and show you too. The only place I have brought my car and not left feeling as though I was getting cheated somehow. The way they differentiate what is a required repair and what is a reccommended repair really goes a long way to show their clients that they care not only about their pockets but ours as well. Great pricing and overall incredible service. Super happy with Beach Ready I actually save my repairs for my vacation because I haven't found a place in NYC that comes even close to Jean and the crew at Beach Ready.
