  This place has so much potential. It has clean grounds, organized, and ergonomic system. HOWEVER I can drive 30 min to Norfolk and get almost 4 times the price for aluminum. We usually get around 800-1200 pounds every two weeks, and at 15 cents a pound is robbery compared to 55 cents at gutterman in Norfolk. Not to mention the lady behind the counter having a trrrible attitude and no customer service whatsoever. Take your business elsewhere, make more money.

  Don’t go to high tech recycling I brought in almost 45 pounds of premium #1 copper and they listed it all as #2 copper and then gave me a check I can’t cash anywhere but a bank so I’m broke until Monday thank guys

  Call them on the phoneAnd they said price was $9.25 for vehicles. An hour later when I got there and unloaded they said they would only pay me $7. I was never rude and I was told that the price was different after they destroyed the truck and you never offered to give me the truck back I asked if I could talk to someone about it and she said Wilbur would explain it and he told me he is just following directions and it was properly drained

  This is a fairly clean, organized "recycling" center. They take old metals and items and pay you by the pound. There are no signs telling you how each process works so you're going to have to park and go speak with someone inside. I recommend going inside the big warehouse building where the nice gentleman will direct you in how to proceed. The large equipment operator was patient and clear with only hand signals. When you're done unloading, it gets tough. There will be a lady inside the small booth building near the yard entrance. If the door is open and you can see her, do not make eye contact. She will look at you like you peaked behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz. Do not attempt small talk or pleasantries. They will be met with angry questions "What are you doing?!?" Or you will be ignored. Proceed to the small window. Have your ID out, know your license plate number. Answer quickly to avoid skepticism. You will be finger printed and required to sign documents with the ink color of her choosing. You will be paid in cash, which is nice. Advice- if you don't want money for your old metals and household goods, take them to the currituck county drop off centers spread throughout the county. Otherwise, Melton Salvage and Recycling is available, and their staff seems to be more relaxed, yet still professional.

  This is my second review, first review was taken down i guess because it was a poor rating, so im giving 3 stars but they deserve one because they dont pay you for clean brass even if it is, im a plumber and spent hours breaking it down only to be told after they took it that they were paying me for dirty brass because it wasnt shiny. Wont go back again
