My truck sit for a whole week before my so called part came in. Then another week for them to so call fix it. Got my truck back within two months the same thing wrong. Now they have had my truck for a week and four days and haven’t received the part to so call fix it again.
I had my check engine light come on and my gas gauge did not read low when I needed to refuel. That was my main concern/ complaint when I walked into this place. You have to make an appointment in order to be seen. I get there as early as possible which was 9am (made an appointment but still waited for 2.5 hours) and people were getting serviced before me for there inspections and oil changes. I had to wait until after 11 for my car to even get looked at. Took them about 20 minutes. Then they came up with this invoice and quoted me for $600. Plus recommending an oil change which would’ve been $50 before taxes. I told the owners wife who checked me out at the register that I didn’t have time for them to “fix” my car that day because I had to be at school and wasn’t financially viable to get my service done. Her response was to “call my daddy to pay the bill”. And what’s worse is that she didn’t tell me that the money for the diagnostic test wouldn’t go towards my bill until after they took a glance at it. So they got me for $133. The truth was that my gas cap was loose and that’s what caused my check engine light to come on. It was a simple $20 fix. I waited to call the owners thinking that maybe the check engine light would possibly come on but it did not. I believe they mis diagnosed my vehicle and when I called them to ask for a refund they denied me stating that they are never wrong and that that’s the reason they have been so successful for so many years. Don’t do business with Jackson’s auto in hope mills off the corner of Owen drive they are crooks. That invoice was BS, And I didn’t even realize that my gas cap was loose because of the loud music and couldn’t hear the click sound it was supposed to make. I pray this doesn’t happen again to anybody else especially if your a woman, because they have no shame in taking someone’s money and ripping you off.
I want to state how fair and trustworthy Josh and the staff at Jackson's Automotive are. They are honest and truthful in their assessment and diagnosis and their charges are fair and they do not gouge! I would recommend anyone needing a good, honest mechanic to use this business.
If I could give more stars, I would. I usually don’t leave reviews, but this is by far one of the few businesses that have ever earned my trust and respect. I love supporting family owned businesses, but sometimes it’s hit or miss. I have been bringing my traverse here since I have moved down here two years ago for all of my car needs (with the exception of a couple last min oil changes,) and they have never disappointed me, I really couldn’t recommend them enough. Absolutely amazing people, Best service and prices I’ve ever received. I will not go anywhere else moving forward they treat you like family and they don’t overcharge for services. They’re honest and care about their customers. Not a lot of people left like them out there. 10 out of 10!
I’ve been here in the past and everyone is just great. Noticed something in my vehicle today and came up here. I’ve been here for 20 minutes and they are already checking it out for me. Great service and great great people. Oh and they won’t rip you off either. I think their prices are very fair
This is the worse place you can ever take your vehicle to. I had dropped my car off to them May 29 they didn't even order the parts for my car until 4 days later. Then they had my car for 2 weeks after the fact. So then they tell me that my front passenger side has loose ball joints. I had a feeling there was nothing wrong with the front passenger side. So I make an appointment a week in advance for my car to get worked on.
They have 2 ladies at the front desk working for them. One nice one and one nasty one. The nasty one worked today she has brown hair and she's short very nasty attitude. I was told a week in advance to drop my car off when they open at 9am and it would be done by 12pm because I had to be at work by 1pm today.
So I came when they opened they haven't even ordered the part for my car. I asked why haven't you guys already did that when I made the appointment a week ago. She said in a very nasty tone we don't have parts laying around. I said I know I'm not stupid but when people make appointments ahead of time you don't wait until the day of to order parts. Mind you they had a WEEK to order parts. So then I asked her ok what about the time frame I have to be at work at 1 so should I get picked up or wait around. She said I don't know I can't tell you. I said ok well can u please speak to someone who can give me an estimate time on if it's going to be done today or not. She told me no I can't.so I said I can't speak to a mechanic?
She said no I can't I can either go somewhere else or drop my keys off.i said I want to drop my keys off but I want to speak to a mechanic first so I can just get an idea of the time frame. She got loud with me and very nasty.
You shouldn't have someone working for you if they don't know what they are doing. And you definitely don't have someone working for you who is going to be rude and nasty to customers. Bad for business.
Eventually a mechanic came and didn't want to hear anything I had to say which is also bad for business.
These people are nasty and money hungry. I went to 2 mechanics to get a second opinion both mechanic places saved me 230$. LYING TO CUSTOMERS TO MAKE A DOLLAR is also bad for business. This place needs new honest mechanics and new front desk people who know how to deal with customers if they want to be sucessful.. I WILL BE TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO GO HERE. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. You will be lied to about what is wrong with your car and talked down on by the front desk lady with brown hair. Who shouldn't even be at the front desk with her rude and nasty attitude I will NEVER go there again.
This is the only shop I would ever let touch my beloved 80. I do a lot of work on my truck myself but have been incredibly busy. I called Josh and his team because I needed my truck swapped from R-12 to R-134. While there he pointed out an oil leak that was easy to access because of the work already being done. My truck was provided the level of care that one would think this Josh’s own vehicle. You cannot ask for more from your mechanic.
My grandparents, parents, aunt and myself have always had honest, friendly and great service from Jackson's. When my mom had a problem with her car she took it to a shop down the road, they wanted to charge more than $1100. I told her take it to Jackson's and see what they say. For the part and to fix it was less than $200. Theyve always been honest with us and we will keep going back because of that.
I have been going to Jackson's for over 15 years. Josh and Erica, and their staff, are courteous, professional and honest.
These people are about relationships and repeat business. Because of this simple, yet often overlooked business principle, I am a customer for life. Time after time, Josh has offered me choices about the level and cost of repairs. They don't try and up-sell you service or parts.
If you have a "bad" experience here, it is likely YOUR fault. Even on their worst days, they smile and show professional courtesy.
Any wait you experience here, is due to the sheer volume of people who trust this family run business. Plan your time accordingly, because Josh gives every customer the same thorough treatment you want for yourself.

Jackson has been around ever since I can remember live here most my life. Fair price and excellent service is what they're about. I have yet to hear of any complaints. Trustworthy and respectable company.
Took my car to get an inspection. No issues with my brakes prior to going in. They tell me I need new brakes to pass inspection. They start grinding as soon as I leave the place. They are as crooked as can be. Take your business elsewhere
I was traveling long distance to New York and noticed my brakes were going metal to metal and would create a hazardous situation. My wife call mechanics in the area, all of which were unable or unwilling to help. My wife called Jackson Automotive and spoke with Josh, and although they were very busy, They squeezed us in and ordered the parts we needed which got there in 10 minutes! We were able to be in and out in about 2 hours with new brakes and roters! Thank you Josh and the entire Jackson Automotive team! I highly recommend Jackson Automotive!
Great group of hard working men that are eager to help if they they can. Hands down they are the best shop I have visited since my arrival 8 years ago!!!! I will definitely be back and will continue to bring my vehicles to these guys. I pulled up with a leaky valve stem and they was about to close the doors. I honestly thought they wouldn’t see me that’s how close to quitting time it was but I was wrong they took me in anyway and they had my truck fixed and ready to go within 10 minutes of getting to the the shop. Josh and the whole Jackson’s automotive family is hands down the best automotive repair shop around. They still have that family operated business that doesn’t exist anymore. We have had our vehicle worked on by them a few times now, and I refuse to go anywhere else. Jackson’s is a place that you can trust for quality repair work, great people, great prices, and just good down home honest people. That’s something that is hard to find these days. These folks went above and beyond while fixing my brakes. They found a line that was leaking and insisted that I fix it in concern for safety! They were timely and reasonable in comparison to past experiences elsewhere! I will definitely be back to them again in the future.
So far so good. They were very quick with my oil change and they were very honest about the issues with my car as well as having fair prices. I will update my review once I have my car fixed up and on the road again.
Update: My car is back to working condition. What I needed to pay was much less than quoted. Thank goodness! Very honest and quick mechanics. I will definitely use then again.
Jackson is a small self owned business that does great work quickly at reasonable prices. I had a breakdown and my vehicle towed there for repair. Without an appointment they took my vehicle in, located the problem, got the vehicle back running and on the road in a couple of hours while I waited for it, ( I didn't have to go home and come back in a few days to get my vehicle back). They also have their own towing equipment on site, where they can go pick up a breakdown and bring it back to be worked on, all in one charge, instead of paying two or three bills.
So I heard about this place from a neighbor...that was several years ago. Now I take my vehicles to ONLY Jackson Automotive. They have THE best customer service, hands down! They will never overcharge you for any repair, and they go above and beyond to make sure they deliver quality service. I have recommended Jackson's to all of my friends and family. If you are having car trouble, whether it's old or new, go see Josh and his crew at Jackson Automotive. Good, old-fashioned customer service, they don't make them like this anymore.
These guys are GREAT! They always fix my vehicles quick and at a reasonable price. Super friendly, too! Family run business. I can't say enough good stuff about this place!
I really appreciated them when I lived in Fayetteville, 5 minutes from their shop. It was a convenient location and I always felt like I could trust their work. I have since moved an hour away. Although its a haul to get there, I find that its totally worth the drive when you have found a shop that is this good.
They are Very Nice People & when it comes to simple work , this is the place . But I've invested over 250 into my little car over the past 2 weeks paying them to basically " guess " or " Assume" what's wrong with my car & both times I drove my car from there lot it cut off . One the same day the second time was a week after me getting it fixed. Once again they are really sweet people . But 250 is to much money to pay for somebody to be "guessing" what's wrong with someone's car .
This review is long over due. I have been going to Jackson's for over a year. They have done an outstanding job each time I come here. I refuse to take my vehicle anywhere else now. They truly go out of their way to provide excellent customer service. They will have my business each and every time I need work done on my vehicle and my husband vehicle.
The people were great here. Jackson's is a great auto shop. The lady in the office is really nice. You could tell that the guy working on my car knew what he was doing. I went to another shop and they told me it would take a couple hours to figure out what was wrong with my car. The man at Jackson's knew what it was in less than a minute. It took him about an hour to fix it, including time to get the part in. Reasonable rates. GREAT service. Highly reccomend these guys!
