Called for a tow through AAA. Mitchell's dispatch called me with an estimate of arrival and the driver, Dustin, was there earlier than expected. Dustin was on top of everything and made sure I (and my two cats) were comfortable for the 100+ tow I needed. very personable and chatted with me in the two hour timeframe. this young man deserves a bonus or raise for the work he does!!! even made sure I was safe after the drop off. thank you, Dustin!!
Wait time was atrocious. The call representative Miss Cora white was very rude and impatient. Popped a tire on the expressway. We were asking her questions and she was giving every response but the answer we needed so when we needed to ask again she began to get frustrated and talk with a sour attitude. I hate when there are negative people working for customer service. Especially one that’s supposed to help people.
When my 1st tow company canceled they called this company. I was told 150-190 minutes. I called because I had already been waiting an hour and a half. The woman who answered was not friendly and when I explained I needed to take my dog home she did nothing to help. I went home and was told Mitchell towing would be there in an hour and 15 mons. I returned to my car and no one was there. When I called she told me my insurance changed companies. She lied! She told my insurance that I had canceled the tow due to not wanting to wait. When I tried to call back my number was blocked by her. Whatever you do don't use this company. No one should be treated this way. I hope she learns to treat people better but from what reviews I have seen i don't think so.
Son locked himself out of car about hour from home after his outdoor work got canceled due to inclement weather, AAA assigned Mitchell’s and arrival time was arranged, about 15 minutes before scheduled arrival, they canceled because said they were afraid they weren’t going to be reimbursed, very flippant, condescending attitude. Son is listed on AAA coverage separately so there should have been no issue and I suspect there wasn’t, perhaps just a better $ maker popped up that they went with. Reassigned company was there in 30 minutes, no issues with billing or anything. I can’t speak to what kind of hands on service they provide as we didn’t make it that far but would would leave 0 stars as far as customer relations if it were an option. He was in an isolated parking spot during the day and was perfectly safe but I can’t imagine depending on this company perhaps being on the side of the road at night or in an sketchy area and they decide to just not show up at the last second. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
My work van blew up on a Saturday morning, I called and they said they could come in 20 mins. They were there in10! Dispatch was curious, and driver was awesome. Even towed it while I made arrangements to get the mechanic shop to pay for it ( they did)..All around great experience. Will definitely use again for private and my business
Yesterday, I was stranded with engine issues off I-95 about 160 miles away from home and was in Fayetteville trying to get back. I called my insurance company and they gave me an estimate of about 75-180 mins for a tow truck to get to me. It ended up being much faster and was only about an hour. Before the driver, Duane, arrived he called to let me know he was about 20 mins out. He arrived and was friendly, very professional, and handled my car with care. He shared his thoughts with me as to what may be wrong with my car and took me with him to drop my car off. He has 20ish years experience and it shows. We had a great conversation on the way to the dealership. Once there he took my car down safely. I have saved the card he gave me and will let other people I know in that area if they ever need tow service, to call Mitchell’s. If you get Duane as your tow driver you are in good hands!
Our truck crapped out today called AAA they sent out Duane from Mitchell's and I can't say enough good things about out experience. He arrived earlier than anticipated, you could tell he was very knowledgeable and good at what he does had the truck loaded up and we were on our way to the mechanic in no time! And he was very personable pleasant to talk to on the drive as well.
I want to shout out Mitchell’s Towing, in particular George “Dwayne”. George provided excellent customer service, was very professional and knowledgeable. My husband and I watched in amazement as he found a way to get my SUV from my garage to the towing bed of his truck. Keep in mind the battery in my SUV was completely dead, could not be jumped and my SUV could not shift to neutral. I truly appreciate the extra effort and patience that he displayed to ensure that my vehicle made it to the dealership. Thank you!
triple a called them and did a service request and they NEVER SHOWED UP. triple a called, i called, and the police called. mitchells decided that they did not want to answer the phone. this is totally fine with me because they obviously did not want to get paid. therefore i would not recommend this tow truck company. how are you 24 hours and can not answer the phone. they gave a 20 minute eta at 12:58 and we were still outside at 2:05.
Richard came to tow my car and was very polite, respectful, knowledgeable, and transparent, despite it being late in the evening. Richard is the man and I highly recommend him.
Our car broke down on I-95 during a road trip and AAA sent out a driver from Mitchell’s. He was very knowledgeable and got us up and running quickly. We were expecting to need a tow, and were fortunate that wasn’t necessary with his expertise. He even recommended a nearby auto repair shop in case we wanted further inspection before the next leg of our drive. He made sure we had everything we needed before leaving.
I haven't had any dealing with this company but the way one driver drove down Hwy 130 in Whiteville NC this morning around 7:30am. I will not be dealing with them at all. I ended up passing a car in the center lane to get away because he road my bumper for over a mile. Boy was I wrong! He passed the car as well so I ended up pulling over on the shoulder and the car I passed pulled over as well to check up on me because she couldn't believe how he was driving. Whoever this person is needs a Driver's Education Class Asap. I would never recommend this company....
I was originally super impressed with Mitchell's Towing Company last night. However, now that they have lost my key, and my car cannot get worked on - they are not only NOT answering calls, but have blocked my number. I now am over an hour away from my car, with no way of getting there and this company is taking 0 responsibility.
My daughter and I were traveling home from FL to NJ when we broke down in Lumberton last Saturday evening. Our first driver, Ashley (I think his first name is Richard) went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and helped us find a hotel to spend the night. His kindness was unmatched. The following day, Tim, towed us up to Fayetteville, where we eventually got our car fixed by Monday morning. Tim also exhibited incredible kindness and concern toward us and our situation. Thank you for making a not so ideal situation less stressful! You are outstanding!
Our vehicle developed engine problems while in Fayetteville and we called for roadside assistance thru USAA to be towed home (Myself, wife and teen daughter)
After waiting for 90 minutes for another Towing company (Papa Towing) who cancelled the call after 2 hours leaving us further stranded.
I was prepared to pay out of pocket and called Mitchell's and spoke to a female who was extremely nice and when she found out we had USAA she told me to call them and request Mitchell's. I hung up and as I was calling USAA I received a text that they had found a new company for us and coincidentally enough it was Mitchell's . I called Mitchell's back and the same lady confirmed they had been dispatched to assist us.
We waited a short time and the truck arrived and our guardian angel was Robert and we could not have asked for a nicer and more professional man to help us as we had broken down in a not so nice part of Fayetteville while enroute to 95.
We were loaded up and began our 53 mile trip back home and we talked the entire way home after learning we had moved to NC from a similar location from the north.
We arrived home, exhausted but safe and sound. If you need your vehicle towed in North Carolina in the Fayetteville/Robeson County area look no further than Mitchell's and if you use USAA roadside assistance, be sure to request them.

Dispatcher Janice called first thing and told me when my tow driver, Richard would be there to tow my car to the repair shop. He texted when my car was dropped off and delivered to be fixed. They were very fast and explained everything so I knew what to expect. Richard is a great driver and I appreciate the professionalism. Highly recommend Mitchell’s Towing!!!
I had to have my 1966 Mustang towed which was a stressful situation to say the least. Noxxi came out from Mitchell’s and I cannot recommend her enough. She was knowledgeable on towing my classic car, and made what started out as a nerve wracking experience so pleasant. She was even great with my two small children. Seriously if I could rate higher than 5 stars I would 1000000/10 level service!!
Jennifer and Timothy took really good care of me... Came in under a little over an hour and got towed by their new COPD awareness flat bed. Kuddos guys will be using you again
I've never had a tow service as good as Mitchell's. After my accident, the people who were originally supposed to come and tow the car said they would be there in 1.5 hours. I called Mitchell's, and after answering a couple questions for them, they said someone would be there shortly. After about 2 minutes of waiting, Rick (FANTASTIC GUY!!!) called and said he was 7 minutes away, then proceeded to show up 5 minutes later! He loaded the car up as carefully as possible, got it on the road, and dropped it off with no hassle. Mitchell's will be my go to for any towing needs from here on out, no question! If I could give 1000 stars, I would!
With the way the guy just acted on 301 on this Friday evening at 6:30pm I would never hire them to tow any of our cars. Driving absolutely unsafe and cutting through traffic wreckless. Probably trying to start wrecks so he will have work to do. He even flew around me and leaned forward to look back cussing me a new one. I get it nobody wants to work so that’s probably all they have. People are crazy and have no respect. This review is for the young black man working for them driving down 301 on 9/15/23 driving the flat bed. I won’t be using Mitchell’s as long as they have him there. No way!
So, I'm at my office at work getting ready to leave and panicked when I couldn't find my keys. I run outside and peer into my truck, and there they were--I was completely locked out (literally the FIRST time I've ever done so, I swear)! I called my insurance provider's roadside assistance hotline and they assigned Mitchell's Towing to help me out.
I won't lie, I wasn't exactly excited about this because I know waiting for a tow truck can take HOURS. Boy, was I very pleasantly surprised! Elijah, the employee with Mitchell's Towing that came to my rescue, was at my office in no more than 20 minutes from when my assistance request was sent out! Elijah was very kind, patient, and incredibly friendly and helpful--I told him he was a Godsend (I mean, he definitely was). What I found to be more surprising was that he was the only one working today. For him to arrive so quickly, and get my truck open even quicker, I can't thank him enough.
Mitchell's Towing, Elijah is a total delight, and I hope you do take very well care of him, because he is a true asset and if I ever happen to need assistance again, I'll be calling and requesting Elijah by name :)
They were wonderful to work with. They picked my truck up with very little notice. The driver was very polite and professional. He took his time and was very easy with my vehicle. He even took the time to send me a picture once he dropped it off at the shop. I will definitely use them again if the need arises.
Sonnie came to my rescue when my car broke down in the middle of a zoo safari amongst camels, emu & zebras! He braved the wildlife to tow my car 40 miles to my local mechanic. Sonnie was kind, funny & considerate during our time together. I appreciate you!
I want to thank this company for towing my truck back home very professional and polite people will recommend them to other people in the future my truck sits low and the gentleman who hauled it was very cautious about scratching it and messing anything up he put some boards below the truck while putting it on the roll back so the bottom wouldn’t rub and I have to thank you guys for that

This is considered a cleaned up bed by your driver. He dropped gravel and sand all over Hwy 1 in Aberdeen before turning off toward Fayetteville. The gravel he dropped broke my windshield and your office manager and driver refuse to claim any responsibility. Your driver’s attitude was horrible. Asked me what I wanted him to do about it. He said, “we do our best to clean off the bed”. I filed a report with Aberdeen PD, and now I’ll deal with my insurance I suppose. Seems hardly fair anyone should have to pay for your company’s lack of professionalism and utter lack for safety on the road.
