Jarvis was an absolute lifesaver. Not only did he arrive in a timely fashion (30 minutes or less), but he showed us what the problem was, how to fix it, and where to get the part. This took all of 3 minutes to get us back on the road and get us straight. Thank God for Jarvis.
Terrible aaa dispatched them to come get my car and they didn’t want to drive 50 miles. So why are yall contracted with them if you gonna pick and choose. I’m pregnant stuck on the side of the road. Aaa needs to drop yall this is unacceptable. I’m beyond pissed I’ve been waiting 2 hrs.
Absolutely fantastic pick up! We needed our truck moved to AAMCO from a difficult spot. He showed up with the right equipment and got it done quickly and efficiently. Very Professional.
i used AAA, they sent Renegade Towing. The driver went to the wrong location, ( I canceled the tow ) renegade told AAA they towed my car and now I’m out my tows… renegade please call me back, it’s always voicemail..we have the dash cam no one towed us…fyi Jarvis was the drive who never picked us up but said he did… him
This happens to be one of the companys on the AAA dispatch list, jarvis the driver contacted us stating that he will need an additional $200 to pick up our vehicle because of 26 inch rims stating that they had to be stock tires, and when my husband told him that he has never had that problem with using AAA before, jarvis then stated it was due to the tags, our vehicle still had paper plates on it which did expire while being at the shop, so therefore our vehicle was left sitting at the auto shop. We notified AAA, and the agent tried to contact renegade and they wouldn’t even answer the phone, AAA needs to remove this company from their program.
As so many other AAA platinum members have said, the lack of service from them is unbelievable; you get assigned a job and 1 minute after your scheduled arrival you cancel the call? Avoid Renegade Towing, they are first clasd scam artists.

2nd time this has happened to me with Renegade Towing. I put a request in the driver confirms and they show up and leave without calling or updating me. 1st time the truck wouldn’t fit on their rollback, this time was I wasn’t onsite :(. At least have the decency to call the customers back so they can make other arrangements. You don’t reply or answer calls when trying to get an update.
I would find another company if you’re reading this review.
I wasn’t able to get my car towed to a dealership through my AAA due to the fact they had to tow it twice for the same issue when the mechanic they towed it to couldn’t work on the issue my car was having, which I clearly told them. So they labeled it piggy backing and not being able to do it all at once . The driver was helpful though the company will find anyway to get money out of you though.
I can only speak from my experience, so I'm sorry for anyone who had a negative experience. We were 30 mins from the nearest Auto Center and I didn't have a spare tire. After waiting over 3 hours for AAA in the sweltering heat, Mr. Robert came to our rescue! Professional & Courteous. He assessed our situation, got us to our destination safely, and with a seamless transaction. No haggling of pricing, it was what it was. I'd definitely recommend Renegade Towing and Recovery.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolute worst business I’ve ever seen. Husband waited 5 hours for a truck, ordered through triple a, each time they’ve been contacted it’s a different time. How this company is still in business is beyond me. The employees are rude and disrespectful. Don’t know how the company makes any money with reviews that all say the same thing and with them never going and responding to the calls.

Triple A -assigned came out in a timely manner but the driver seemed agitated and could not unlock car. He suggested another company, (4gotkeys) instead of his own company (renegade) so I believe he and another company are profiting together.
I cannot express enough just how awesome my experience with Renegade Towing was today. We had some car trouble and were able to pull off on the shoulder before calling AAA, who dispatched Renegade. I called Renegade directly just to make sure they were on their way. The dispatcher (I didn’t catch her name) was incredibly helpful, and Robert the tow truck driver was beyond excellent. I would certainly use Renegade again if I’m ever in a situation where I’d need to be towed (hopefully never but we know how life goes). Thanks to both Robert and the dispatcher for great service during a not-so-great situation - it really does make all the difference.
AAA said they kept telling them in an urgent call in first 30 minutes then 20 minutes then 5-10 several times and this was critical call for dogs locked in car running low on gas and 84 year old mom locked out in extreme heat. They do not tell the truth. Do not trust!!!!
Bobby came and saved the day changed my tire quick fast and easy and doubled check my tire pressure on my doughnut for me One of the best to do it. not to brag but….he was very very informative…..thank you so much Bobby GOD bless you.!!
If I could give 0 stars, I would, Aaa called them around 10:30 pm. After I had an accident.They sent me a txt saying the time of arrival was around 12:30, then another update saying the time of arrival was 1:30, then another update, it was 3 am I called another towing company n they arrived in 30 min. I called later on, and all they gave me was excuses, and they want it ME to understand their point, lol. Needless to say, I would never use them at all.
AAA platinum member. My car broke down, we got assigned renegade as the towing service. We waited 6 hours, with my 2 year old waiting at home for us, (which they knew). They pushed the time back 2 times, and then called 10 min before they were “supposed” to be here to let us know one more car was ahead of us, and was that okay? Uhm no ma’am it is not. The lady said she would speak to the driver and try and hurry him up. We called at 6:15pm, they didn’t arrive until 12:10am, and we still had to drive an hour home. Highly do not reccomend. If AAA assigns this company to you, you’d be better off calling and finding your own tow service. Had I known this from the start I would have happily just paid out of pocket for a company to come.
I paid for the service two days in advance and I was told I was going to get a notice when the driver was on the way. Never did, I had to call both times and I told them I needed my car towed to the mechanic before 430pm. Finally, when the guy came, he showed up late after 430 and said they couldn’t tow my car after I told them my car was lowered. The guy just left and never said anything. His helpers were nice that was it. After that they told me they had a guy who specialize in lowed cars. And they told me he would call me the next day. He never did.. turns out he was in meetings or something but it would have been nice to know, that way I wouldn’t have taken the day off waiting for them… communication is the worst, and the driver seemed like he didn’t even want to be there. His helpers were nice though that was it and the lady who took my car also tried to help everything else was not worth it.
I’m a AAA platinum member and this company was assign to tow my car, which had two flats, from my house to Discount Tire, not even 4 miles. I called AAA at 8:20am and within in a few minutes I received a text that a driver would pick up my vehicle at 10:20am. Within an hour I received a call from Renegade saying that the driver would be there at 11:45 to pick up my vehicle. I explained to her that I had an appointment to replace my tires at 11:30 and she then said that my car WILL be picked at 10:20. At 11:45, I received another call from them saying that the driver was running “a little behind” and would be there at 1:45. In my opinion, two hours is more than “a little.” 2:30 rolls around, and I received another call from Renegade saying that the driver was enroute and would be there at 3pm. I expressed to her that I’ve been waiting all day for someone to pick up my vehicle and missed my appointment because they kept pushing back the pick up time. All she said was that they’ve been busy today and one tow was outta the way. I called again at 3:45 because the driver still had yet to arrive and the lady finally said she’d call the driver and see where he was at. He finally arrived at 4pm and he was polite and professional. He did apologize for the very long delay and explain that there were only two drivers covering a large area from Fayetteville to Raleigh and they had a lot of calls today. If you have only two drivers covering such a large area, why not hire more drivers?
I’m in no way blaming the driver, however, I feel as though the receptionists and the company as a whole, lack professionalism and communication skills. I would never would use this company for a tow again, especially if I was stranded somewhere.
Horrible experience and I do not recommend!! Clearly they aren’t experienced with Sports Cars. They didn’t even try to tow my car. As soon as they saw the car flat out said we needed another type of service. The guy took pictures of my car, and after 2 hrs back and forth, then they were asking for $270 to do it.
I hit a possum and it messed up something under my car. It scraped when I tried to drive. I use AAA and they sent this company. I was in a dark parking lot after 10pm. He arrived in less than 10 mins, he was so nice and helpful. I cannot express how grateful I am this guy (I wish I caught his name, I was in tears when he showed up) showed up and helped me. Thank you so much. Great customer service.
AAA was called and they sent this company. They refuse to tow my car because the wheel came off and they told the dispatcher that I modified my car and it was too low to tow. Then they said they wanted to charge me commercial Rates if $184 to tow it. I told them they were crazy. Filed a complaint with AAA and they sent another company. The other company said they don’t even deal with them because of their non-proffeasional business. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Other reviews had the same complaint. We are Warning you.
On the way back from Myrtle Beach my mom and I ran into car issues and had to pull over in Fayetteville, NC. Fortunately for us we are AAA premier members, so we immediately called them to assist with a tow back to Raleigh, NC. We were assigned Renegrade Towing as the preferred choice and had a terrible experience. They left us waiting for 5 hours (after pushing the time back multiple times) and didn’t show up until past midnight. As two women in a
n unfamiliar place this was very unprofessional and we shouldn’t have had to wait that long. If they knew they could not fulfill this tow within a reasonable time frame they should not have accepted the job.
