Been going with house whole trash here for a while now sometimes it's 5-8 dollars for whole truck load today and some older man that was running the booth wants to charge a dollar a bag should be a sign stateting how much it cost not what he wants to charge

Pretty quick in and out at the scales. Much more affordable than home pickup if you’re rural.

The people are very friendly and helpful. You do have to empty your truck by yourself though.

Bring small bills to pay for dumping garbage or be prepared to take a lot of quarters. FYI: They DO charge for a teash can with recycling items, same as trash.

If you are going to close before 5 you should put that in the frequently asked questions, especially when the landfill is pretty much located in Orange County. 10 minutes to dump is plenty of time especially when I called and they let me know via phone “we are here till 5”. Clearly you’re there till 5 but not open till 5.

Super helpful, clearly labeled and easy to drop off large and bulky items including household electronics or mechanical items

Good experience! Fair prices (way better than paying GFL for pickup), easy in/out, knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Watch out for the staff on the weight station when going in. You might get hustled Depending on who is at the window, Hopefully you might get an honest person that will charge you accordingly..

I take my trash off every other month. I usually have around 10 bags at a time. I will go through the weigh station and I have noticed that each time that I do, it varies anywhere from $3 up to $10 at a time for almost the same amount of weight each time. Not sure why so much variation on the prices. But it really I guess all depends on who you talk to when you go there. I have found that to be really strange. For the same amount of bags of trash, it should not vary much like it does. I guess it comes down to crossing your fingers and hope that you get a good person at the time.

Could they have made this dump any further south? It's like 18 minutes south of I40. They charge about $2 per 100 lbs of debri. I think free for recycling type of stuff. Friendly folks, but to unload to the dumpster you have to throw over the 3 ft concrete wall.

I had a good experience at this dump. It’s not very well developed and structured but people which work here are very kind and charged us only 5$ for dumping the couches.

Hours after the holiday not adjusted, very inconvenient. Simple fix get up to date technology is free.

Staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Even with recent price increase, it is still cheaper for me than paying over $40 a month for weekly pick up.

Awesome as it always is. We take our bagged trash there once a week and the employees are always very nice and respectful and it's always a clean parking lot and very easily accessible to the dumpsters.

I make a run to the landfill about once a month, it's much cheaper than a trash collector. They charge 50 cents for a kitchen garbage bag and $1 for a contractors bag. They take all kinds of recyclables that trash collectors don't. Cardboard, electronics, metal, magazines, newspapers, plastic, cans, glass, used motor oil all of that is no charge! The place is really kept clean and clear of fallen debri. Just make sure you tarp down your truck or trailer so you don't create litter on your pleasant drive through the country to get there. This a much cheaper option for folks outside city limits than paying for trash pickup.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff and management. Some newer people haven't a clue on how the process works but other than that great!! It's all about trying to help each other.

I am an enthusiastic recyclier and the Alamance county landfill is the place to go. They have separate places for cardboard, mixed paper, steel cans, aluminum cans, plastic beverage containers, other plastic containers, newspapers, separate brown, clear and green glass containers, electronics, batteries, trash, cooking oils, garbage and Large items like furniture or metal items. Make sure you have a couple of dollar bills for the fee. Today I had half a 4X8 foot enclosed trailer half full of recyclierable items including used motor oil and rechargeable batteries and five bags of trash and they only charged me five dollars for the bags of trash.

Been going here since I was a kid and has always been nice and friendly atmosphere with helpful employees and honest prices.

The people at the landfill station are generally pleasant and professional. I take my trash there because the collection service in my neighborhood does not do recycling and often I have as much recycling as trash. Costs less per month as well.

Quick and efficient for household trash. 0.50 for white kitchen bags and 1.00 for black extra large or contractor/ yard debris bags. Household keep left all others keep right for scale.

Staff is great, very nice. Be aware of the hours for when they take certain items. Recycling area and regular trash is open most days.

Recently had an issue with my car coming into this location. Was following a truck with a full load of garbage without its tarp on and as they drove over a speed bump within the gate of the landfill, debris fell out of the truck and flew under my car, causing a flat tire. The staff at the landfill were very understand and helpful. They assisted me in changing my tire to my spare and offered to pay for the cost of repairing/ replacing the tire. They even called and followed up with me a few hours later to make sure I was taken care of. The staff are very kind, considerate, and more than willing to help out when in need.

Guy working in the booth was super nice. Does not take anything that needs to be weighed, brush, yard waste etc, on Sunday and scales close at 12 on Saturday. Just an fyi.

I have been there several time since moving to Alamance Co. - a 13 mile ride from Graham 1 way! Is there no where closer? And the hours, what is up with that, community has to take a day of in order to haul thier things during hours less than banking hours, and even if you can make it in am on Saturday, still requires loading a half day on Friday to 'be ready' to get there Saturday hours, BEFORE noon. Sit in a long line, going IN, then have to circle around to use the SAME scale on the way out! Why not have a scale in and scale out?? Surely what we are charged for normal trash pick up & taxes there can be a convenience of extended hours for thier community! Most of us that work full time daytime, find it very INconvenient!
