At 4:37pm on March 31, 2025, a tow truck from this company, license plate 23505TT, blew through the stop sign at Hillside and White Plains Road and would have T-boned the car stopped in front of me if I hadn’t honked and gotten the attention of the driver, who thanked me by flipping me the bird and cussing me out.
Beware of shiesty practices especially with Rob. Local police arrange tow. Explored repair options with co-owner John who seemed much more honest and agreeable to my terms than his partner Rob. Repair options ended up prohibitively expensive and in excess of vehicle value. At that point co-owner Rob took over the discussion, tells me he planned to wreck the vehicle to junk yard and initially agrees to my conditions for vehicle surrender which involved my removing a recently installed part. After he demands I sign over my title, he allows me access to his lot and my vehicle but during part removal I realize I need to to get a tool to finish the job, leave briefly, then upon returning police were called and Rob switches position re: part removal, accuses me of not being qualified, threatens me with trespassing, says he's not planning to wreck vehicle anymore, implying he wanted to keep vehicle all along. Even Police responding to scene recognized the dishonesty that was playing out. Very regrettable experience. Would not recommend. No Stars. 0/5.
Great team and service .. the came on time despite short notice and were priced fairly compared to others we contacted.. nothing better than a fair business in time of need
On Saturday 6/29/23, my father age 85 was 2hrs, 59 miles away from home. He had a flat tire and broken window. After a kind stranger sat w/ Dad for several hours until I was contacted (I live in Georgia) and was able to arrange a Ride share for my Dad to get back to Jersey
Safely. Thankfully the Police in the area assured me that Dad’s truck was still there since Saturday ,they referred
R&D. Ron with R&D confirmed the truck was there and he/they would help.
People say that Northerners are” unkind”.
NOT so in this experience! From the stranger who sat w/ my father, to the officer who knew who might help, to Ron at the shop, and the tow truck driver.

Awesome place very nice gentlemen working there.. I went there for a flat tire and they went above and beyond to find the problem it was a very very tiny piece of metal and they found it.. Definitely will go there again.. Thank you guys...
Prompt, reliable, professional, friendly and courteous service all at a very competitive price. Now in my phone under T for towing because they'll be my first and last call.
The guy showed up in less than 1/2 hour and pulled me out of the snow for a reasonable cost. Other tow truck companies wanted alot more. Was quick and painless. He entered my credit card info into his app and we were done in minutes.
" Helicopter is not working today , the mechanic is driving to you" is the response I got when I called on behalf of the contractor working at my house in Tuckahoe. We were waiting on the busy main street, I called to confirm if the help was on its way. They did send the mechanic who was very helpful and changed the flat tire but shocked at the arrogant, condescending, unprofessional attitude of the person who answered the phone.
I would like to thank R & D Towing for their professional job and excellent service on my issue with the flat tire during the COVID19 crisis. I am a hospital health care professional called for help and they assisted me in a timely manner with no Charge. Thank you again !!! I can go back to work tomorrow and be safe in my own vehicle....
They're easily the best foreign car repairs place in all of Westchester County, New York. They are helpful, economically feasible and just plain cooperative.
Wouldn't even give them a star, but it seems that I have to give one. Got into a car accident and the police used this company. My car was fine and could honestly still be driven. The accident took place 1 mile from the tow yard and it was there for all of 20 minutes. I was charged $300 for a "cleaning fee" and a "yard fee." My car was not moved or cleaned and I know this because I was watching it for the 20 minutes that it was there. Owners are grimey, scummy and nasty people. Avoid at all costs.
Use Next Generation towing instead (AAA member); they are extremely generous and respond very quickly. I used them to pick up my car from R&D and tow to another yard instead. No issues or complaints with them at all.
I am surprised to read all of the positive reviews of R & D Auto Services. Perhaps my experience is an anomaly, or only AAA customers are treated to shoddy service. I had a simple tire change that needed to be completed on my Range Rover Sport (using the full-sized spare tire). Apparently, the car picked up a nail because the tire was completely flat. The estimated time of arrival for the repair was 10-15 minutes after I placed the call, likely because the shop is only 2.0 miles from my home. Unfortunately, I had to leave my home (leaving my nanny with the keys) to pick up my daughter from classes nearby. I received a phone call asking if the service provider had arrived and if the work had been completed in a satisfactory manner. I let the call center know that the driver had not arrived when I left, but she got him on the phone and assured me that he was at my home and the tire was being changed. I told her that I would be home in five minutes, and I raced home in an attempt to tip the driver. When I arrived, not only had the driver left without ever having me (or my nanny) sign off on the tire change, but he also DUMPED the damaged tire into the trunk of my car on top of a valuable painting, destroying the value of the painting in the process. There were any number of alternatives to this option, the most considerate of which would have been to place the damaged tire back into the spare tire wheel well without damaging the painting, but the simplest of which would have been to move the painting (which weighs less than a pound) into the back seat of the car (or ask my nanny to come take it). I am EXCEEDINGLY disappointed in the service provided by R & D, and have asked AAA to never use them again for a service call on my account.
UPDATE: If the owner of this company believes that the service provider went above and beyond, I would hate to see what simple service results in. Additionally, despite the fact that I specifically requested that this service provider never be used for a service call on my account again, they were indeed utilized for a call on Saturday, June 30th that I placed at 6:15AM. Despite being provided with an initial estimate of 7:15AM, I continually received updated estimates and no service arrival until 8:40AM. I was, in fact, with that vehicle when the tire was changed. I will be canceling my AAA membership as well, since customer service has completely fallen off.
I got a flat tire yesterday on my blue FIAT 500X and the tow truck took only 10 minutes after I called. I had the car towed from weaver shell to Al’s place. It turns out I knew the tow truck driver from a volunteer organization we both belong to. He’s a really nice guy and I highly suggest the company to anyone in need of a tow. Tow truck drivers are the forgotten heroes of emergency services.

Got into an accident in Eastchester, Eastchester P.D. called R & D towing. Gabe and Rob were really professional and accomodating however I decided to fix my car near home due to convenience. Only complaint I have is the price, $650.00 for towing 3 miles and three days storage, way to expensive.
On 9/13/2015 I live in Connecticut, My car broke down at small strip mall in New Rochelle, NY.I very nervous about how i am going to get my car back into Connecticut, I have contacted other towing companies around surrounding areas of New Rochelle. After a few attempts, I have called and spoke to the owner of R&D Auto Service. i explained to him my circumstances, and gave him what ever information that he needed from me.
After giving him all my information. He (the owner) gave me a awesome deal, i was very elated about that. Then he told me that he will be there at the located within about 45 mins. Actually he came earlier than for 45 mins.
The son shows up, after seeing and meeting with the son, i have to say, he was very nice, understanding and he never made me out of place. I have gave him the address/location where to i would like to the car towed. He knew where i wanted the car to go. After we dropping of my car at its location. I was relieved and grateful for their services. Immediately i have called all of my friends about R&D Auto Services. I will definitely keep their number for future reference/business for me and anyone else whom might want their services. Thank you so much R&D Auto Services Crew.
White glove service got my new limited edition race car home. Jeff, my driver gets 5 stars and so does R+D; however, note to the boss, you need to balance the wheels, please. The car picked up in NJ and dropped off at Ted Hermans on Summerfield, so Ted Herman and JC up the hill could both get a look at the new race car. 5 STARS to R+D and 5 STARS to Jeff my truck driver.
Note to the boss: Besides all the praising I wrote in the review, the truck could really use a new wheel balancing job for highway speeds. I thank you very much, and BE SAFE!
