Hello everyone this used to be a great little supermarket always a little pricey but since the new owners Foodtown the prices go up every other day they are price gouging for no reasons for most items go directly across the street to Dollar general

Was an excellent supermarket, until purchased by Foodtown. Still, nice people working here, trying their best. But the selection is now not as attentive to what shoppers want, and it's not unusual to find things that are poor quality.

It's not bad but It's there when you need it.

Nice grocery store in Eldred. I’m grateful its always well stocked with fresh produce. Employees don’t seem as rude as the other comments make out!

Hometown grocery store. They might not have every brand under the Sun, but they do have a nice selection. The deli department is well stocked with fresh products.

Since foodown took over, the employees are more apt to say hello or even acknowledge someone as they pass them. Maybe they had to take a refresher course in customer service. The prices are steadily getting higher. One good thing I notice, there aren't as many expired items. Hoping for the best for the future !

Last time I was there the cash register worker acted like I had cooties and DROPPED the change in my hand and also did it to my husband which my husband has a bad eye and couldn’t see very well and it missed his hand and landed on the counter. She didn’t even pick it up…. Made my husband pick it up. Then today I called to see if they might have a little space heater… no luck but that’s not the reason for my review. The reason for my review is that it’s common courtesy when someone says thank you, you say YOUR WELCOME. When someone says good bye you say it in return. Kinda like okay thank you have a great day good bye , then in return you say YOUR WELCOME AND YOU AS WELL GOOD BYE.

Nice supermarket. Clean and bright, great selection and fair prices. Very hard working and friendly staff.

I thought maybe we would stop having moldy vegetables I guess not. Wouldn’t it be great if our food quality from your store was better ?

Over priced for everything, some staff are friendly but others are just blatantly rude. Today I went to the deli to get a bagel with cream cheese, that’s all, and payed $5, is this how much a bagel costs now? They also marked my bagel as a bacon egg and cheese even though it was just a bagel with cream cheese. Very disappointed with this store and its pricing, literally price gouging.

Store is barely average BUT the people who work there are above average rude, simply put. Unless you are one of the 100 regulars that they personally know then, you will be giving an attitude. Been going there because it’s the only place. I’ll now make the drive to somewhere else. They close deli counter ,lottery machine , and all but one check out lane 40 min before closing time because- “they don’t want to be here one damn minute longer then they have to” according to one of the rude workers. I’ll make sure to pass the word along …. I’ll also mention to shop elsewhere.

Beautifully maintained, well-stocked, store. Wide variety of fresh produce and baked goods. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable.

Horrible bakery was told they would make my cake, so I brought my cake topper there and left it with my info. I followed up with a call and was told they were too busy, baker going on vacation, and this woman only worked Thursday's, so they had no clue about anything. She was very rude as well as the girl working at the front desk. I will never purchase from there again!

Pecks is finally getting back to pre-covid quality. 4 stars because they're still pricey, but 10/10 for the current deli staff and quality. Best Philly and breakfast sandwiches I've had in ages, absolutely worth the price there.

I have lived I the suburbs of 5 big cities: NYC, Boston, DC, Philly and Houston but this has to be in my top 10 of wonderful grocery stores! It’s near a summer getaway for my family and I have been shopping there for 40 years. So friendly! They have almost everything you are looking for and more. Fresh bread, great meat counter, good produce, lots of gourmet items. It keeps growing in variety and providing ready access of ingredients to the discerning cook. So proud of Pecks!

Hometown supermarket has a lot of friendly faces and people willing to help. Need more staffing in the deli and people that can help with food prep. Store is always clean.

Best market around. You won’t believe how great(and huge) deli sandwiches are. Lots of local produce and I have no idea why prices on meet are extremely low. Five stars plus

Everything is good EXCEPT Deli meat. Last two times I purchased Turkey and Ham, smelled terrible, like it was going very bad. Suprised as the deli is always busy. Perhaps the coolers are too low or they're leaving it out too long. Bringing it back this time for a refund. At 10..00 a pound, I'm not taking a hit the 2md time. I will buy deli items elsewhere. Pete's in Narrowsburg is always fresh and NEVER smells anything like this.....gross.

A nice small supermarket; however, I've had a couple of issues lately. I stop at Peck's whenever I'm in Eldred for the weekend and need a few things. For the first time, I ordered two sandwiches on Kaiser rolls for lunch from the deli. The ham and cheese were fresh and tasty but the sandwiches were ruined because the young man making the sandwiches gave us hard stale Kaiser rolls! We could not eat them. The rolls crumbled apart when we tried to take a bite. This was unacceptable especially since there were a bunch of Kaiser rolls available in the bread bin. We wound up taking the sandwiches back home to Long Island and moving the meat onto new bread so it was edible. The deli staff needs to be trained and told not to use old bread just to get rid of it or to avoid having to take an extra step to pick fresh bread. If you order a sandwich, be sure to pick your own bread!! My second issue was the watermelon I purchased precut was old and I had to throw it out. Maybe I just picked a bad container, but someone needs to keep an eye on the fresh fruit. Other than those two disappointing instances, I've had no other problems over the years and usually find what I need at Peck's.

I love this store! They have a wonderful deli. So many speciality items. Atmosphere is great. Great service. This place is delightful!! I live 20 miles away and plan on going there again and again.

Decent market, however limited produce section. Prices appear reasonable, most smaller markets can’t offer as much deals on items as the larger chains. Did find a long strand of hair in the store brand Italian sausage package.

The most unfriendly staff EVER. They walk right by u without even a smile. The managers are the same. Employee owned should make them want to make it an inviting place to come in. This is the ONLY Pecks that is like this. I have heard the same from so many people. Except for the deli dept, the newer workers seem nicer. We don't get it, a smile doesn't cost a thing. As far as the store it is clean, but you have to watch for expired items. The produce is good.

We live nearby and this is our local grocery store. Yeah, it's not as big and fancy as one of the giant chains, but we are SO lucky to have Peck's. All the staples, decent produce, friendly staff, and even in the worst winter weather somehow they always manager to open. Prices are fair. Granted, if you're looking for some rare imported item they may not have it, but as they used to say on Prairie Home Companion, "If you can't find it here, you can probably get along without it."

Nice small store. Has just about everything u need. Some prices are a little high but that's a new York thing. Deli /produce area can be better serviced. All in all a great local store

Small but great hometown grocer. A bit more expensive than say ShopRite but they do carry high quality products and meats. I love getting lunch at Peck's when I'm near one.

The store is organized and all the staff are very pleasant. Nice deli and good quality meat. Have never personally waited more than a couple minutes when at a register. The staff will bag for another when not busy and will help on another register when they see someone​ waiting. Has a store sale every first Saturday of each month.

Very clean store, always stocked, friendly Atmosphere! Great Butcher! Buy our Meats and Fish Here! Keeping it local because otherwise we need to leave the County. We don't see the need. Thank You !
