iam forewarning any females that come to this place they try to take advantage and take your money. the owner was very rude as they said they fixed my tired and plugged it. the next day my air tire was low. they did not want to refund my money back and wanted to charge additional money to put my spare back on.
Needed to find a new mechanic to do my car inspection after moving to NY and happened upon Babylon Complete Auto Repair.There was some other work Ive needed since that first visit and they've been easy going and professional each and every time. Giving me the information I needed to make the best decisions for my budget and my schedule. I think I found my go to mechanic in Babylon.
I have brought my vehicles to Mike for years. My most recent experience, I brought my minivan in after my wife brought it to another well known mechanic in BV. I originally thought it was a bad alternator but the mechanic in town swore up & down that the engine was shot and was not worth repairing. I brought it to Mike who did a tune up and sent me on my way for a few hundred dollars. Mike has always worked with me and taken care of my 3 vehicles. I Highly recommend Babylon Complete Auto Repair !

these people are con men. steer clear of this place if you wish to save money and time. I remember after i had gotten something fixed they told me something along the lines of::: "yeah we want to make sure you come in here more"... that's like saying "come back soon!" when you work in an ER. it isn't worth it to go here. the lack of knowledge, integrity and ability makes this place a pit.

The owner is a con artist. You will take your car for quick easy fix and next thing you know they mess with the fuses so the check engine lights come on. You take it back and they will say it’s a 800$ fix. I check the fuse box and couple of them were missing. I bought the fuses from Auto zone for 10$ and boom no check engine light. For the recorded the check engine light start flashing on after they fixed my car. wonder what happened inside the garage. Never going back.
I’ve brought (3) cars now to the shop and Mike has been courteous, explains the issues, costs and on-time with repairs. All (3) vehicles are 2016 or older and yes, maintenance is needed and expensive at times. Appreciated the service stations help and they do a good job. I recommend.

I've been bringing my cars to Mike for 15 years now. He is the only mechanic I've ever trusted. They do great work and continue to keep my cars safe and running well.
Came here once before to fix my tire, no issues. Second time? Not happy! My car had the check engine light come on. Was told by the owner that the light was on because preventative maintenance was past due. $750 and twelve hours later the light comes back on. Took the car to a different mechanic and he informed us the mass airflow sensor was broken. Replaced it for $300 haven’t had an issue since. Will never go back here. Wouldn’t even take off the $125 for diagnosis after the work was completed and not even properly fixed. Very disappointing. I guess he saw me coming and took advantage.

Mike will try to take advantage of you. Threatening to fail your NYS inspection if you don't purchase $55 wiper blades from them. Even though your wiper blades work and look like they are brand new. He will also act like he is doing you a favor "we will install them for free." Then when you stand your ground and refuse new wiper blades by saying "fail my inspection, just make sure you make a note that the wiper blades are why" he goes to the garage to talk about you to the other employees and comes back out to say "you know what, I took a look at your wiper blades and you can just change them yourself." These people are the absolute SCUM OF THE EARTH trying to scam innocent people. Safe to say I will not be a returning customer.
I called this repair shop asking for a quote on front end work for my camper he said no problem bring it in had the tech look at my problem then gave me a crazy price which was 5 times what he told me on the phone I told him no thank you I'll get it done some other time then refused to give me back my car unless I paid him 80 dollars because my tech looked at it. A real piece of sit this man is ..Stay away from this man and shop I warn all.
Excellent local car repair shop. See Mike he is very knowledgable and quick to get your car serviced. I've had a couple oil changes and tire rotations. I would highly recommend you try this shop out!
The owner of this auto repair shop is Mike and Mike is a true con artist. Mike will smile while he lies to you and takes your money. Mike will either overcharge you for work done, charge you for work that was never done, or tamper with your vehicle so that your vehicle will continually need to be fixed on a regular basis. If you are a regular customer of Mike’s, then I am sure he has done all 3 of those things to you already several times over. Mike is a smooth talker and he coned me a few times with false repairs, but the worst thing he did to me was with his oil changes. I would bring my vehicle to Mike to get my oil changed every 3,000 miles and Mike was either not changing the oil or he was using dirty recycled oil. Both are bad and my vehicle’s engine was eventually permanently ruined. I have learned to always check the dip stick after every oil change and to stay away from Mike because he will rip you off at BABYLON COMPLETE AUTO REPAIR!
Fast, honest , and reliable. Brought my car in for inspection and was told I needed to replace my rear brakes and rotors to pass. I also needed new rear tires. He gave me a good price for it all and had my car finished and ready to pick up the next day. Highly recommend taking your vehicle here.
Babylon Auto Repair is the best mechanic I’ve ever been to. They don’t try and swindle you into doing work on your car that you don’t need, they are fast and efficient AND when they do need to do work on your car they are honest and try to help you understand why parts need to be fixed or replaced. 10/10 would recommend this place!
Sorry about the late review but this has bothered me for years. When they first opened I figured I would give them a try as the previous owners were great. I had to get an inspection but I knew there were things wrong with the car
I asked the owner not to run the inspection and do an evaluation as we needed to make repairs first.
When I got back to the shop I was hit with a bill for a failed inspection. When I asked him why he did that he turned around and nastily said to me. I have kids and need to make a living. Well guess what I have kids to and besides how much money could you possibly make from an inspection. I could only imagine what he would do if he had late Bill's and my car was in his shop. Very nasty guy. I would never ever go there again.
Both my wife and I just got inspections here a couple weeks apart. First time using them. Mike was very accommodating bringing us both in day of and kind of last minute without appointment. Very happy so far and plan to use them for future service.
Mike has been my mechanic for a number of years now. He is the only mechanic I have ever trusted. As a woman, you know that mechanics will take advantage of your lack of knowledge about cars, Mike has never done that. In fact, he educates you about the repair and why it’s necessary. He will answer any question, big or small, stupid or not, patiently and honestly. I highly recommend this shop and will continue to go there for many years to come!!
As it is a convenient location close to my workplace, left my car for spark plug + air filter replacement. Good service, friendly environment. I am usually a DIY (Do It Yourself) person for almost all the basic mechanical and electronic repairs since I love to do it. However, didn't want to take a risk as spark plugs were never changed since long time and pretty old.Found a better and decent price quote here after comparing with many other work shops. 3 Rating only because I found they did not replace the air filter in that visit so I had to visit them again next day, that too with 4 hours drop off for their mistake.
If you are ready to spend your money for no use then this is the best place. I was shocked to see how they charge their customers. Please inquire about labor charges before you step in. I was charged very high (104$/hr). As soon as I heard this I was disappointed and I asked like how much would they charge if I don't want to fix. They said like they would reduce only 3$ (of total bill) as the switch they are going to replace is very cheap. But when I saw the bill, they have charged ~59 for the switch. I have visited lot of repair shops and this is the worst experience I ever had. They not only charged me more but also they lied.
Please inquire about rates if you decide to go here and compare the rates with other repair shops. Even showrooms will charge much cheaper than these people.
I was traveling in the area from out of state on a very hot day when all of a sudden my AC stopped working, first place I stopped at said, can you drop it off in the morning? pulling out of there I saw Babylon Auto, They took me right in immediately, place was clean and people were so nice, They could have taken me for a ride, instead they had me back on the road in minutes with Ice cold air! thank you guys so much! Great job!
Finding another repair shop at this point. Set up an appointment with this station to have my Nissan reflashed. They have a guy cone in to do it by appointment I guess. I took half a day off and soecifically asked the owner would the guy definitely be coning to the appointment if I set it up as I would have to take time off from work before I scheduled the appointnent. I came in to sit for the afternoon. After an hour the third party guy cancelled. I understand the owner was dealing with a third party. HOWEVER he should have made it clear to me there was no guarantee the guy would show to do the work. I would have taken it to Nissan instead. I asked him when he called the third party to confirm with him he would definitely be there. He told me he would. Then the owner acted like it had been totally out of his hands. He did bear some responsibility for my inconvenience.
Mike and his mechanics are great diagnosticians. My vehicle is always in tip top shape thanks to Mike. I can call and have my truck serviced on the same day. Mike is honest and stands by his work.
My 2006 LandRover overheated recently. Brought it into LandRover to see what the problem was. We knew the coolant was leaking. When I booked the appointment, I specifically said will the truck be seen or will you have an overflow of appointments from the previous week. I was assured the truck would be looked at. Truck sat for two days. Then was "tested" for a few more days. After 8 days at LandRover, they wanted to do more testing to find the problem. After spending close to $500 later and no solution to the problem, I called Hobie Lopez-Garib because I knew her husband had a repair shop. I'm so sorry I didn't go there first. I dropped the truck off to Babylon Complete Auto Repair, her husband's shop, on Tuesday morning at 8:30 am. Mike called me at 10 am to inform me of a crack in my water pump. I asked for an oil change and an inspection since the truck was in the shop anyway. By 2:30 pm, Mike called me to tell me my truck was ready. I can't tell you how impressed I am with his professionalism, his work, his customer service, his shop. His prices were fair and reasonable. The work is guaranteed and he followed up with me to make sure everything was running well. If you need any auto repair work done, I highly recommend Babylon Complete Auto Repair.
Recently tried this shop out and was very happy with the service. The people in the office and the garage were very friendly and my car is running great. Will definitely be back and recommend to others. The mechanics work quick, fast, and without any issues. Car was in and out of the shop very fast and came back with no issues
I've been there twice in less than 2 months, first time oil change and they show me the serpentine belt needed change because it was brittled. Mike took the time to show me what it looked like and didn't feel like I was being pressure to change it right away. Mike also showed me the brakes which were worn out and he gave me a quote on writing. The second time was for annual inspection, and I had the brakes and rotor fixed and he honored his quote several weeks later. I truly feel I finally found an honest and hard working mechanic. If you don't believe it check his hands, those are the hands of a hard working man and he likes the show Vikings. On addition I live in Malverne which is over 20 miles away but I don't mind. Honest, reliable repair shop. I have been bringing my wife's car and my own to Mike for over 8 years (in new location and back when he was located on Sunrise Hwy, Lindenhurst). They are very flexible in scheduling of repairs and service and they stand behind their work.
