Took my car in for inspection. Got a call from John who asked if I had time to drop by that he wanted to show me something. The short version is that previous mechanics missed the fact that rust was growing on the undercarriage (a lot) and I was lucky that my back breaks and suspension remained in tact up to this point. The rust was THAT bad! But no one else seemed to be concerned before. And might I add that the car was in another shop for oil change just a few weeks prior. JK Auto is now my vehicle's primary care provider.
John and the JK team are great at what they do and great people period. They keep you updated and give a clear description of what your vehicle may need. I highly recommend JK Auto!!!
i have never written a review before,but i feel this one begs to be wriien. i have a 1998 toyta camry. i bought it new. it has over 100,000 miles on it. John, the owner and hands on mechanic, has been taking very good care of it for at least 5 years ( as though it was his own own car). if you want excellence and a master mecanic, to care for your vehicle,you will not find a more caring and honest mechanic than John. i regret that 5 stars is all i am allowed, otherwise the stars would fill this page.
The owner was very helpful and informative. He took the time to show me diagrams and simulations of the problems with my car to make it easier for me to understand. He was transparent and thorough about everything he was doing. They even gave me a ride home when I had to leave my car with them. One of a kind service, I highly recommend.
Love this place. I had a plug put in my tire on Route 109 a month ago and paid 10 bucks for a plug and gave a $5 tip. I went to JK because my tire pressure light came on again. The technician was kind. The woman who worked there was informative. She actually brought me the screw that the tech removed. I went to pay, "no charge". They don't charge for plugs. I gave them the $15 bucks anyway . They deserve it. My go to from now on. I'll spread the word!!
My 4th time here and I’ll def be back. As a woman, It’s hard to find an honest auto shop that will only do repairs on what you actually NEED. John is the absolute best. He’s honest, reliable and knows what he’s doing. Everyone that works there is fantastic and I’m really glad I found him. I highly recommend this shop for anything from an oil change to brakes and a NYS inspection, to an annoying check engine light! John and his crew are the BEST!!
Whenever I need something, John and his crew are always there to help me. I’ve been going to him for years and have never been disappointed. I would recommend him highly. I’d like to shop local and he’s right in my area.
I needed my tire plugged. It was the first place I found near me. They plugged my tire quick, added air to my other tires and recommended I look into new tires. The best part was that they did it as a free service. Awesome place and awesome people. Thank you guys

When my own road side assistance was taking hours to respond, JK came to my rescue with a tow and new tire. Cannot recommend JK highly enough.
Recently took my truck to JK Auto (formerly Stacks Auto) to have my brakes replaced. They also found that one of my calipers had frozen and were able to correct that problem quickly and without fuss. I am very pleased with the service that JK Auto performed for me and always recommend this shop to family and friends.

My Dodge Caliber is over 20 years old. I have been going to John for repairs, upkeep and general maintenance. All the workere are polite and very helpful. All the work needed is done in a timely manner and within a reasonable price. I could not be more satisfied.
I've been going here for a little over a year now. Obviously, having car problems isn't ideal, but it's good to know that it's in good hands when I bring it here. John knows what he's doing, and what I really like is that he does his best to explain exactly what's wrong and what needs to be done (he'll probably give you a rough sketch if he needs to go into detail). I've brought my car in for things from an oil change, inspection, brake and rotator replacements, to (much more recently) my rack and pinion replaced. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a good mechanic. And if you stop into the office, make sure to bring a treat for Shadow!
John replaced my original brakes & rotors with quality parts that he suggested. The ride is better than it was! He also provides warranty on the parts and work he does. He tells it like it is and doesn't "steer" you wrong.
Not your normal "gas station" repair shop. John runs a top notch operation and cares for your car like it was his own. He also runs a shuttle to help you back & forth if necessary. Very communicative. Try it. You'll like it.
I've been bringing my vehicles to John at Stacks for several years now. The work is always done correctly, neatly and timely. I never have a complaint about the work they do. Prices are fair and they never nickel and dime you. Plus, they supply a ride to my house when I drop off my vehicle and pick me up when the work is done. Thanks guys.
I've been coming to this place since it was Joe's back in the 1990s. I thought I was going to have to find another mechanic when stacks took over (bad experiences with NB stacks) but John is great. These guys work hard. Give these guys a try, even if you avoid NB Stacks.
Stack's has been my go to place for auto repair and maintenance since I moved to the area several years ago. John is always friendly. He takes the time to get to know your car, enters detailed notes, and, when there's a problem, he takes the time to always explain what the situation is and what needs to be done.
Recently, he caught a problem with my transmission that I wouldn't have caught on my own, and alerted me to the fact that it was still under warranty, but by only 4000 miles. He took care of contacting the dealer and getting the vehicle over to their shop for me. I feel like a lesser mechanic wouldn't have noticed the problem or less honest one wouldn't have told me about it, let me drive it for awhile longer, and gotten the expensive job for himself.
I've found them to always be honest, have given me great customer service, and, most importantly, have done good work.
I have taken my vehicles to John at Stacks for years and never had any problem. My family needs a safe vehicle that won't breakdown and the guys at Stacks have always succeeded with that priority. Feel sonlucky to have found Stacks! I have a Prius which had some erratic electrical problems and John put in loads of hours to effectively diagnos and fix the issue while sticking to his quote. So appreciate the honesty and knowledge; very few mechanics will even work on hybrids let alone give good service at a fair price!
I had the toughest time getting my old truck inspected. The new computers just don't work on the older vehicles. While at a Ford dealer a customer there told me to run it over to Stacks. That was around 2002. I have been a customer since that time and feel like family. Tom the owner gets a star because he will take care of a problem and will investigate it through till the problem is solved even if some reasonable time has passed. Just communicate it to Stacks right away. TJ knows how to run a shop and will go out of his way to get your car in very quickly to get your car serviced or repaired and he really has a great rapport with people so he gets a star. Then there's Chris who will, within a certain distance, take you home, pick you up and bring you back while he listens to your laments or jokes which deserves a star! Another star for Stacks because they most often have hot coffee or tea to brew and a light snack and watch the TV while waiting. I'd give Stacks 5 stars but I am always in shock of how much cars cost to fix these days and can't get over it!!!!
