They have so much needed everyday supplies and helpful people.

Wow! Always a warm welcome, can answer any problem, service with a smile and great advice too! That hometown store feel, where they know you- rare these days.

Placed order online for curbside pickup. Received email, not to come to store, order not ready. Looked online could not see any reason for delay, store reported item was in stock. I called the store the women answering said she couldn't hear me. I called from another phone, they said the same thing. I called customer service, they heard me completely fine, they called the store, called me back to report the item was not in stock and would take 7 days. I asked to cancel the order, customer service called back store to cancel. I wasn't updating by the store or given confirmation item was cancelled, I had to go check online. You would think being out of stock the store would call the customer. So much for trying to keep the smaller hardware stores in business. I went online to Walmart ordered it to my door delivery, will have item in two days. Fix your phones, and if not for the corporate customer service, holding on the phone 20 minutes, to call another country, only to have them call back to the store I ordered from to cancel my order, I would have driven 13 miles, not knowing what to expect. Thank you customer service and Thank you Walmart. Ace hardware, you guys have to do better or close down like so many others that could not compete with the quality and faster service of big retail chains.

Good place but pricey but they have what I'm looking for most times

I recently visited Ace Hardware Wading River to purchase Benjamin Moore paint and was assisted by a wonderful representative named Mike. Not only was Mike incredibly knowledgeable about the products, but he also went above and beyond to help me while managing my three young children. Before I entered the store I was overwhelmed by the thought of buying paint while watching the boys and keeping them from touching anything in a hardware store (3 boys under 5!). Mike relieved all of my anxieties—He was patient, courteous, and kind, making the whole experience much easier and more pleasant. His excellent customer service truly stood out, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It's rare to encounter such a dedicated and friendly employee, and Mike made sure I had everything I needed while ensuring my kids were comfortable and entertained. He even told me I could take my kids to the car and had me pull to the front where he brought out and loaded the paint into the car for me. Thank you, Mike, for your outstanding help. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this store!

I was pleasantly pleased with the friendly and very helpful staff at the Ace Hardware in Wading River. One of the staff helped me pick out the best model of a product that I needed. I always like shopping at this Ace! Also, very clean and well stocked!

Zero zero stars if I could. Worst customer service around. One kid leaning on the counter on his cell phone and the other guy ignoring me as I tried to ask him for help. I’ll go out of my way to Home Depot before I ever go back here, and I live right around the corner.

I like this store, it feels quaint and the staff is very personable. I usually get a nice buy on holiday white lights, that I use all year round. Ace has a fair price for them. I was also able to play my lottery game there, which saved me an additional store trip.

I went to Ace Hardware today around 1:30pm. When I first entered the store I was met with stares from the cashier’s that made me uncomfortable. A employee ask what I wanted when I told him he directed to aisle 4 , the product was not there that I wanted. The store was not busy with customers. But every one turned their heads when I was walking around looking for what I wanted , never found what I was looking for. I headed out the door and the two cashiers turned there heads a male and female and ignore me. I only hope race did not play a part in this. I’m a black American, definitely will not visit this Ace in the future

Not as big as Home Depot etc. But at least 9 out of 10 times have what I need and it's way easier and more pleasant to shop at Ace

I've been shopping this Ace store since it opened. The manager Laura is always so nice an helpful as well as the staff. Pat, Lane and all the employees go above and beyond when you require assistance. It's not the closest Ace to me but certainly the best which is why I go there!

jack is an awesome employee. he helped me find a super obscure item, and was super polite and knowledgeable... I WILL be returning to this location, am very satisfied

I will be returning to this ace hardware immediately if I require any pieces of hardware to build the deck for my house, Jack in specific should be put in charge of the store because he is super awesome and useful for my needs.

Need something quick at a very good price? This Ace hardware has most everything you're looking for. Friendly, smiling, positive, staff members. Employee was recently observed offering to help a disabled old woman carry her heavy purchase out of the store after she asked for assistance. 11/24/20 all employees wearing a mask. Employee Bob was very knowledgeable, courteous, willing to help us find a specific item. If you found my review helpful, please give it a like! 12/12/22 all employees wearing a mask. Employee Jack was very helpful and professional, helping me find a specific item. All customers must wear a mask to enter.

I went into pick up a tee handle for my garage door and when I couldn't find what I needed I asked for help. The young man seemed busy and agitated and pointed me to the aisle that I'd already been searching in. I asked if they had stock in the back room and was quickly told no. I ended up going to home Depot and found what I needed, It Just took an extra hour out of my day.

Great local hardware easy to find help and easy to find what you are looking for. I can be in and out of the store with what I need in a matter of minutes. I can't even park and get into Home Depot that fast.

I like this place because it's quick and convenient. The prices are competitive although not as low Home Depot or Lowe's. The staff is friendly and they always ask if they can help you with something.

Great selection, awesome and helpful employees, prices are a bit high. I'm willing to pay a little more for convenience. I'll be back there many times.

There is a good variety of everything a local hardware store should have (including plenty for your wife!). If they don't have what you need, they have the materials to build a work-around, and plenty of helpful staff. Some items can be a little pricey, but compared to a trek to the nearest super-store, it's worth it.

Ace Hardware always been a good store everything is marked everything is in order it reminds me of the old hardware store now where you can almost get anything in there the people are always willing to help and that's great that's the main reason I can shop there I can't stand going at the Home Depot you don't know what you're going to get

I love it here, quick and painless to find tools or equipment and if needed can ask someone for help or insight. They have everything and it's not a massive store where you can't find what you're looking for or get advice if you need it. Thank you guys

Everyone here is friendly and eager to assist. THe staff knows their stuff or finds someone who knows it better. Their selection is good, it's really only the construction stuff that requires you go to another big-box, but for home repair, garden, etc, they've got pretty much anything you need.

The service in here was fantastic, I was helped by lane in paint and he gave me great tips on how to paint my bedroom, he answered all my paint questions and was very helpful overall, I would definitely recommend this store over the bigger stores in Riverhead

I live 5 minutes north of this store, but I drive to Riverhead, or Miller Place. Used to go, but the employees now make their politics clear, even when it makes customers uncomfortable. After observing this behavior I choose to spend my money elsewhere. Everybody can believe what they want to believe, but in a public store everybody needs to just tone it down and try to get along. Second point: I don't need an employee to Google my question on their phone... I know how to do that!

Never Again! No one wanted to help Me. Then when I got some help the employee had no clue. After I was followed and orbited around the store like I was gonna steal. Now when I was standing on line, many people just slid in front of Me after 20 min, someone finally rang Me up. As I went to use My credit card they asked Me for ID! Never before in my life have I felt so uncomfortable and like I was not a law abiding citizen! I will never shop here again and advise everyone I know not to shop here, better off taking a ride to Home Depot!
