We drove three hours from Connecticut to Long Island, leaving our home around 4:50AM to collect our personal items from our car. After such a long and early drive, being greeted by Lee was truly a blessing. He was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful with a beautiful smile and such a warm, genuine personality that immediately put me at ease.
We had been told that our car was already dropped off at the site, but Lee went above and beyond by personally contacting the towing company. Thanks to his effort, we found out that the car had not been towed yet and was still at the towing location. He completely cleared up the confusion and made a stressful situation so much easier.
Lee’s professionalism, compassion, and positive energy really stood out. People like him make all the difference thank you, Lee, for your outstanding help and kindness!
The front office at 66 Peconic for IAA is at rude as it gets. There is a short individual and an older individual who both are nothing but rude. It took me hours to get there to be greeted with pure disgruntlement and instead of explaining anything they laugh in my face. When trying to pay for a bill, they ask for cash up front without even breaking down the invoice. Both individuals are just as rude as it gets while dealing with an already difficult situation. If you are unhappy with your career than do something else in life.
Trying to donate a car to Vehicles for Veterans. This is the pick up company. I was given a Saturday time between 8 and 5. Called on Friday, nope, it's actually scheduled for Monday and we can't narrow it down to a window that is smaller. No. Horrible customer service, not even remotely apologetic. I will never go through this company again.
To speak to the yard manager is so hard!

Bought a 2018 accord (stock#42477778) through Go2auction and the mileage is incorrect. We try to reach the yard manager about a months plus via emails and calls and no response even the head office of IAAI try to reach out and CC US in the email and no response! I can’t register a car with default mileage I will get charge for odometer fraud!
Bought a Mercedes S550 Coupe listed as having no airbag deployment. When the car arrived in Florida, the airbags were clearly deployed. The auction refuses to take responsibility for the false listing. Totally misleading and unprofessional. Be careful—don’t trust their descriptions.
One of their trucks tried to run me off the road on the LIE Friday 6/27. My car got it all on camera. It was terrifying and I was not even driving like a jerk nor did I cut the truck off. Completely Uncalled for- that driver should be fired!
Worst place ever first had to pay spring field auto pound took forever and knew I was trying to get my car from auction they told me I would be ok and I would have time to get my car which was a lie went tj the auction and they saw me with kids and still turned me away for 3 minutes pass 5 customer service is terrible and they have no compassion for anyone and by the ways they are lifting cars on there property with a fork lift damaging auction and towed cars they should all be fired
Avoid This IAAI Auction Location at All Costs. This location is a complete scam. I purchased a 2020 Infiniti Q50 that was advertised with only “minor body” damage. The photos showed minor external issues, so I went ahead with the purchase. However, upon receiving the car, I discovered the engine was seized! I had to spend an additional $10,000 just to replace the engine.
It took them an entire month to send me the insurance appraisal, and guess what? The appraisal clearly called for an engine replacement. Yet, IAAI conveniently left that information out of their listing. This level of dishonesty and lack of transparency is completely unethical.
People work hard for their money, and it’s disgusting to see a company operate this way. Save yourself the stress and financial loss—stay far away from this location!
AWFUL STAFF! ALL AROUND! LIARS, TOO! And they remove parts from your car and do who knows what with them. The forklift guy (at North Lot at 165 Peconic Ave) even said he has photos of how the car looked when they got the car. I asked to see them and he refused to show them to me. He was completely RUDE to me!

I was selling my van, had a private buyer but decided to give them a call. I was misled on the phone saying not only my tangible value was $8200, but that I should expect to get more than thag. I check online and they list the value at $7200. After 2 auctions coming in with offers at around $1200, I spoke to another woman who said that there was no way I would be able to get what they initially said, and if she had known she would have told me. Basically they just lied to get me to try to sell there and pay the fees.
They charge you over $1000 in fees on every car just to destroy it with their loaders. They are not responsible for damages they do with the loaders and you are stuck with it. I would stay away from this branch.
This was our second time at the IAA Long Island, first time was 10 for 10. 4-16-24 I'd give it a Minus -99 if I could. Walked in, everyone looked at us like our head was screwed on backwards, 1 snippy girl asked "oh you pickin up? Fill out that paper overthere" I filled it out, she said "title is FedExed" it's in the west lot" when I asked where that was..... you would have thought I asked her a very personal question, she huffed and said leave the lot, turn left there a sign, oh and the address is right here" speaking to me like I was in kindergarten. We find the lot (NEVER BEEN BEFORE) , so we pull in, up to the guy on the forks, he opens his door, Yelled at us "NUMBER 1,NO TRUCKS IN YARD, NUMBER 2 ITS AFTER 4:30, (it was 4:31, 10 seconds), I'll go get your truck. He brought it out, yelled again at my husband, "I CANT LOAD IT THAT WAY, I REALLY SHOULD MAKE YOU WAIT UNTIL MORNING ". As he loaded and pulled off, he was throwing a temper tantrum. We've been to Numerous IAA's and have NEVER experienced such Rudeness.

I’ve been to many IAA branches but Long Island is my favorite. The staff always goes above and beyond. The front counter is always so friendly and smiling and Michelle R is always a pleasure working with she knows what she is doing and is always going to go beyond to help with an issues you might come across
This is the worst branch of IAAI. If I could set -5 stars I would do it. They are terrible to answer the phone, once they do they are terrible to help you. The attendants on this branch should all be fired. They are lucky Im not their manager. Looks like they are doing a favor for you, I spend a hundreds of thousands dollars on IAAI, buy all around the country and this Long Island branch is teeeeerrriiible. I’m trying to not buy from this branch and you should do the same
My recent experience with this branch was not very great. I had got a car from the auction thinking that I would get the one listed in the pictures. However, upon receiving the car, I was shocked to find both the driver's seat and roof airbags deployed, contrary to the pristine images online. It was clear the pictures had been altered to hide flaws.
Furthermore, that detail about the car's condition was not included in the listing. Seeking help from the branch manager only resulted in rude and unhelpful feedback, leaving me frustrated and ignored. Buyers please be aware when buying from them, inaccurate images and neglecting crucial information. Please be cautious to avoid disappointment and financial loss.
Customer service sucks. Staff is not educated and has stink attitudes on top of that. There are so many fees when purchasing a vehicle, almost 1k depending on the price of the vehicle.

Called regarding my vehicle. Female has a horrible attitude. I took that it was Monday into consideration. But if you hate your job just leave. Flabbergasted with customer service. It’s like you call them for help and they are bothered.

They lost my title and they are still blaming the driver, I told the lady that I will submit a complaint to iaai then she said I don’t care nobody can fire me. I black lady but don’t know the name she said she’s doing the same thing 10 hours a day since 11 years.
They've gotten better in their process. You still get one of those girls sometimes that's like "why are you here?" Wait, "why am I here?" If you know what I mean. But hey, I just want to get in and out without a hassle. I travel to IAA all over the country and there is "no yard like Long Island" and its oh so friendly reception ladies.
Wish I could give them 0 stars. My father purchased a van and it was delivered to someone else and now the Branch Manager, Frank, refuses to help me figure this out so we can get our money back. Who could I reach out to within the legal department for assistance?

They transfer you from department to department.
They will say hello in a sadden tone or with food in their mouth, and once you state what you need help with expect them to hang up or transfer the call to a random voicemail.
They ladies that answer the phones sound like they hate their jobs & have the worst phone etiquette.
If you don't want to work or provide customer service, QUIT.
There are many people looking for jobs , that will appreciate working & provide GOOD customer service.

If the option was 0star for this location that would be my rating! Awful! Awfully Awful! Awfulness to the 100 power! Did I mention awful service? Buyers beware! The customer service at this place is terrible and they don’t care about customer satisfaction! Before I purchased my my vehicle it said it came with keys when the driver went to pick up my vehicle NO key! I called and the agent said, “ The vehicle came with a key and that’s all she knows,when it’s sent out to the lot if the keys go missing it’s not the company’s responsibility”. Then I decided to read the reviews and everyone complained about missing keys!!! Clearly this location is selling keys I’ve been dealing with Iaai for years and this is the fist time ever experiencing something likes this,otherwise I would have closed my account years ago! They also charge storage fees after the second day if the vehicle isn’t picked up unlike other locations that give you 5days!! Don’t purchase vehicles from Long Island location!!!! With all these complaints about this location Iaai’s head office needs to make some changes and get rid of the entire staff and try new things to better the customers experience!
