The woman running the place (I’m sorry I forgot her name!) is super friendly and nice! They are ALWAYS giving 1%-10% more per pound for scrap wire! (FYI They are only a wire scrap recycler). Chauncey’s in Holbrook was always my family’s scrap location until they closed around the c-19 pandemic, then started going to Arrow scrap, across the street from Chauncey’s, and will continue to go there for other scrap metals but when it comes to Wire, I will always go to #1
Excellent customer service, the lady running the place is very helpful and she didn’t beat my girl friend around the bush on prices.. we wanted to give number one scrap a try we allways went to Gershow with our copper and wiring hands down number one is upfront and honest and well worth the drive to get top dollar for your prices! We will be going back! Thanks again!
Hands down the best place to bring your scraps to the lady is very polite and very professional and does not try to rob you by any means if you have anything mixed in there she will tell you so she doesn't beat you like every other place will
My first experience going to a scarp metal place and I was very intimated thinking it was all men. When I pulled up a woman helped me she was so kind, and helpful and the sweetest to me. I was in and out and got a great price on all my coper wire. I even came back a few more times bc of the great customer service and how fast they were!! Highly recommend
Very, very helpful. As a woman I came in there, about a month ago, intimidated, expecting all men and not many English speaking persons however I was totally wrong. There was a woman in charge of this establishment and she was so sweet and completely helpful and informational. The gentleman assisting her was bilingual and was very well spoken. I saw maybe a couple other men but these two were the ones that greeted me and helped me.
The place was very clean and very well organized for a recycling center. They are also extremely fair. I've seen some dirty, unorganized places. This place is great and local!!
Best prices in long island. As of 6/2/2018 I got $2.60 for bright bare copper. The staff was more than professional and kind. Quick in and out. Strongly recommended.
The female that works the front is the best. She’s reasonable and helpful and does right by me. I’ve been to a lot of other places and this is the best place by far hands down. I live in Coram by two other scrap yards and still drive all the way here to scrap, bc there quick friendly and have very good prices. I recommend you to go there and have the experience I’ve had.
They don't have the best prices but much better then most and they are very friendly and fair. Been to 3 other scrap places on the island by far the best.
