I brought my vehicle in for a wheel alignment because I was experiencing noise from the front tires or wheel rims. After the inspection, I was told that I needed calipers on both sides at a total cost of $850.
I chose not to have the repair done and instead took the car to another mechanic in Brooklyn, who diagnosed the same issue and performed the necessary repairs for half the price.
It’s very disappointing and concerning that this establishment quoted such an inflated price for the same service. I also left with the same noise issue that prompted the visit in the first place. Based on this experience, I believe the shop is overcharging customers and providing questionable assessments.
I find it hard to understand how they remain so busy given this level of service. I would strongly caution other customers — if you choose to go there, you’ve been warned.
Staff has REALLY poor coordination about repair work. Too busy on a Saturday for a simple repair, pls come back Tuesday,dropped my car off at 630 am, only to find out at 130, they totally forgot about me! NEVER AGAIN
They deserve 6 stars. Gus runs an honest shop with fair pricing. My check engine light went on and my dealer had dollar signs in his eyes. I got a second opinion from Advanced (in literally a minute or 2) and they showed me that I left something loose. Gus refused to take any money from me. When they have done work for me in the past, the work stands and it is at a fair price. Too bad too many places are like my dealer.
If I am not mistaken, I called asking if photo inspections were taken. I was told they didn't but no further informaroon was provided as to where they did. I have gone accross the street from advanced auto care II, to all weather tires and between Charlie/ his mother, they have always provided great customer service. I am not sure if they are connected or work together, but all I know is that it only takes that one person to give them all a bad name.
The service here is absolutely amazing. Gus was super helpful with the help my car needed, and the prices are great. Will definitely be using from now on!
Gus and the team always figures out a way to get it done when I need it done. Not sure how he does it but it gets done and I’m happy. Highly recommended.

Advanced Auto Care is AWESOME!!! We bring our cars there for the NYS inspections. They service gas cars as well as electric. The people who work there so so nice and they make sure to get the job done as fast as possible. A nice comfortable waiting room and courteous and helpful workers.. We had been coming here for years as Gus is a family friend but never again. Car was brought in for a routine valve cover gasket and window regulator, I'll include the details and corroborating pictures taken by a professional BMW Tech below but for those that just want a quick summary, here it is:
Gus lied about the parts and services he provided. The ABS module was used and never programmed to my car (he charged $1500 for this). Engine was leaking more oil than before, oil was never cleaned as per normal gasket installation, vacuum hoses were broken during installation but never replaced. Oil drain plug was stripped and sheared when it was reinstalled, came out in 2 pieces due to being clearly over-torqued. Oil pan was still leaking. Widow regulator incorrectly installed resulting in scrapping, non-genuine regulator installed resulting in faulty operation.
Gus denied everything when confronted with the evidence and laughed at me when I requested we discuss a refund. He was unprofessional and mocked me on the phone, hung up repeatedly and ignored my texts (pictures below). He had the car over a week longer than he quoted and even after I had proof of the used parts and terrible work, he insisted that I bring the car back to him again... Awful service, extremely late execution, terrible communication, and zero quality, and value.
Pictures attached include the report from the certified BMW technician I had to pay for, the diagnostic output showing the ABS module was used and not coded to my car and the texts to Gus about all the issues. The rest just show the state my car was in after paying him over $3000.
I have trouble believing these positive reviews as I know a lot of people that had very bad experiences but none of them take the time to review. I couldn't let him keep doing this to people and I hope I can help some of you avoid this nightmare. Just go somewhere else, anywhere else.
My husband Tony and I have been going here for years. Every time we pass it he says this is where we go to get the cars repaired. They are good. My husband just passed away this year, suddenly, and I will always remember what he said-They are good and to go here to get the cars repaired. I have had 3 of our cars have problems this year. They did everything good and repaired and inspected our cars. Gus, Manny and Ken are great. I would go here again.
Just bought a new (used car) & wanted to get some work done took to Gus shop ADVANCED AUTO CARE II Could not be any happier Gus & his staff are true professionals quality service at reasonable prices I had some issues getting wheels off so Gus had me bounce over to all weather tires who immediately helped me out I have been to Gus several times he us the only mechanic that my family & I use & would recommend him to ANYBODY ANYTIME!!!

i got an inspection done and the owner Guss was friendly, helpful, and VERY FAST to get the job done. He explained the new tint laws to me and was even helpful in removing the one illegally tinted window for me. i will definitely be bringing my other cars to them, and sending my friends as well! its good to know there is at-least 1 good honest helpful shop out there!

I came in this morning in a rush, my truck was brought in in under 5 minutes. Consistent, honest and nice. Hard to find, so find these guys and don't let them go!
Went for a wheel alignment and they actually checked my exhaust that’s been making noise for months for no cost. Dealership was going to charge me over 1000 and Gus took care of me for SIGNIFICANTLY less. I don’t know much about cars and they could’ve easily robbed me- it’s happened to me plenty before! They were so patient and extremely professional. Not going anywhere else!
One of the best places my boyfriend and I was recommended too.. Our family have taken our trucks and cars to Gus and was always told right on the spot what he thinks the problem was.. He was always spot on..Service is always fast. His mechanics are top notch and most of all they never try to fix anything until they speak to you first.. Never have I ever met a place that was so honest and reliable.. Advance auto care is worth coming too!

Great guys, great service. My inspection was about to expire and I went to this place to schedule an appointment, looked pretty busy, little did I know they were about to accommodate me that day. One of their mechanics took my keys and started inspecting my car. Within 20 minutes or so it was ready to go. Paid my bill and was on my way. These guys are good and the wait is minimal. Highly recommended and will be a return customer.
I’ve been looking for a good quality mechanic in the area and these guys are the best. Gus went above and beyond to get my SUV’s pesky issues resolved, and when I needed an inspection in a hurry they had me in and out in less than 15 mins. I visited several other auto shops in the area and each one required reservations days in advance. I don’t always have time to call ahead and Gus and his guys were able to attend to my issue without delay. Good honest work, done quickly and at a reasonable price, what more could you ask for?
