I actually had the worst first time experience here. The woman who sees people at the scale is very nasty and unprofessional, she does not know how to speak to people of general public. I didn’t know what to do or where to go she continuously shouted at me to “just dump it over there” I even commented on her hostile attitude and she disregarded it and continued her behavior. I simply asked her to clarify the steel or aluminum that I was dropping off and she brought a magnet outside with disgust that I was asking her and then proceeded to tell me “Ive been doing this for 10 years I know how to do my job by just looking”. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I know, very unpleasant experience. Go somewhere else even if it’s a little further away, which is the only reason I chose this place because it was close to me.
We should have been more prepared before going so we ended up losing track of time prepping materials for max gains. The woman was short with us but understandably due to us holding up closing time. She was very professional otherwise and helpful during the day. The man there was quite with a smile so authentic you'd think he was Santa or had a secret, and a good one too. Very nice lot and shop. Lots of space to park and plenty of carts and such for your materials. It's the 3rd scrapyard I have been to and by far the best, cleanest and most professional.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. From calling originally to the front office and then finally the weighing and the most important part the money. Everyone was very nice but Reina was amazing and very patient, especially being that we were new and knew nothing. She took care of us so well guiding us what to do without being impatient or condescending. Went out of her way to be totally amazing from start to finish. Thanks again Reina! Highly recommend Crestwood we would never take anything anywhere else now!
I've known and very familiar with Crestwood since Roger Meyer was the main man. I'm glad to see its still as strong as it was then. His legacy still remains with the people there.
I went there today and was met by the wonderful Rena who was just excellent at what she does very informative and helpful I would recommend this place to everyone and when they say they have the best prices they really do mean it I’m a very satisfied customer all thanks to ms Rena because of her I will return and recommend this company to all family and friends in need of scrap metal removal
Hands down the best Scrap yard Island wide! I was going to the competitor (next door) for the past 4 years.. One Saturday I came by bc they are open 2 hours later then most places, and the one thing they all do not have is Riena!!! She made the experience what It is!! She always smiles when she sees me, and I look forward to seeing her everytime I go! Along with the pocket full of cash, Riena always slips in a $1 Scratcher with the Receipt! What other scrap yard does that?! They do have higher scrap prices give or take as well. Today I arrived 3 min before close and Riena stayed late to cash me out! She’s a sweetheart and brings warmth to my heart every visit! Thanks again for all your hard work and customer service!!
I've been coming to Crestwood occasionally for a number of years, but more frequently in recent months as I'm are starting to clear out my shop after accumulating aluminum and brass for 35 years. Riena is a pleasure to deal with. Always greets you with a smile and cheerful disposition. Now if only one of the complimentary lottery tickets hit for a big win!

The prices are good and the yard well maintained. The lady working there is a sweetheart- has been very fair to me and is very personable and patient. Not an easy job when the place is busy. More competitive across the board
Best scrapyard around hands down. Friendliest staff and best prices I’ve seen so far. Been coming here for like 10+ years now and never had any issues, always in and out fast never really have to wait to unload my truck unless it’s crazy busy. Other then that like I said best prices for your scrap 100%.
Everybody says "never go to that place" it's a rip-off, Arrow was closed today so for the first time ever I went there. I have chunks of solid brass with aluminum switches on them, solid pressure regulators..she's telling me she's going to give me low grade computer parts prices.. I should have not made eye contact with the guy in the yard, I have a tiny car with a small box in the trunk. Genius rolls over this disgusting oily bin about the size of my car loads it in and walks away. Leaves me to push this disgusting thing sideways because it's a wreck to a point where it just crashed, I carried my stuff from there. Now Im covered in oil, stained clothes.. shoulda just drove right by!! I didn't expect to go to a scrap yard to look pretty but I'd definitely recommend not asking anyone for help and avoid the yard guys as they may try to "help"
It's been great coming here.This is the best scrap yard that I have been to in NY due to the great costumer service of Reyna that works there. She's always very helpful to us everytime we come in and I also see the great service that she is giving everyone who comes in. This is the only scrap yard I would be going to for now on.
I have been using thus facility for many years. They are very organized and efficient. Reina is the person who handles the front office. Not only is she professional she is a real pleasure to deal with. Reina is a real asset to the company. I highly recommend Crestwood.
Nice beutiful people kind of tight but clean place if not they will clean it for you so your tire don't get damege if coming over night park in street behind (Knickerbocker st) thanks Vladimir
Great place! Everyone is so nice and helpful (especially Reina and Nat) being a regular is great with the free scratch offs and also they are by far the cleanest scrap yard I’ve seen! I 100% recommend coming here if ur looking for good prices.

By far,best prices,cleanest yard,(haven't left ever with a nail or screw in my tire), Every other scrap yard has left me with screws in my tires. When it comes to selling scrap metal? They are hands-down the lowest prices anywhere in this area. Took our scrap metal elsewhere, and got 5 times the offer Crestwood made. 5 TIMES! 1/5 the offer is a considerable difference.
