10/10 service here. Dan and his team take the time to adress each of my concerns and explain in detail why something is happening. Very knowledgeable people who do not try to hustle / upsell you like at the dealer. I have been in a few times already and I will continue to trust them with my E class.

Dan and Mike took the time to address my many questions. My Porsche oil change and inspection was completed the same day. The car was as clean as I left it. This team is definitely experienced with foreign cars, they even use German synthetic oil. Reasonably priced and a great convenient alternative to going to a dealer for service.
Great shop with honest, helpful guys. They were the only ones out of 4 shops (including the dealership) who were able to confidently diagnose and fix my VW Tiguan. Highly recommend!
I brought my e39 base model BMW to NF imports for a check engine light. They diagnosed the issue as two vacuum hoses and an oil filter, charged me $851, and sent me on my way. 30 miles later, the check engine light came back.
I returned to the shop, and instead of standing by their work, they ran another diagnostic and quoted me $2,000 for additional repairs. If the original fix wasn’t enough, why wasn’t I told that upfront?
I feel like I was overcharged from the start and then upsold on unnecessary work. After paying nearly $900 for diagnostic and 2 hoses, my car wasn’t actually fixed. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for honest service. ( I was able to get parts to fix the car myself for $250 took 13 mintues. been 100+ miles no check engine light)
My BMW X5 was towed to the shop, vehicle stoped running and would not turn back on! Long story short, the diagnostic was replacement of 2 fuel pumps and the whole suspencion with a total of over $6k. When I told him I would pick it up and pay just the diagnostic he added he could get it drivable for $3500 still told him no. And charged me $350 for diagnostic. Paid and had to towe it to Rhode Island over the ferry! Here my mechanic found 2 bad fuses and the car started right away with no issues! It is sad the way this business takes customers as fools! If this rating had negative stars I would gladdly do -10! Not an honest business!
Great guys, fair price, quick, and could have easily took me for a lot more money and parts then was needed. Highly recommend. Feels weird to get a VW fixed without feeling like I've been taken advantage of. Thank you!
Just had my 2016 Porsche Macan serviced by this group and was more than just pleased. They had all the appropriate updated software to quickly diagnose the issue and had it completed on the same day. What I also appreciated was how good their customer service was - kept me updated about how long it was going to take and how much. I highly recommend them. Great to have a local group that can work on my car!
We have been taking our cars to North Fork Import for several years. They are honest, upfront and don't play games. Having had a terrible experience with BMW in Manhattan, it is good to know there is a reliable source out East. Highly recommend!
recently purchased a 1987 Mercedes Benz 560SL and brought it to NFI for a good look over as I knew cars of this age always have something that needs attention. Dan was fantastic to work with giving me details on everything that needed attention and we worked together to address the more important issues. Ended up replacing the steering box ( which I knew was a issue when i got the car) and some other things. Extremely pleased with everything they did, car is driving like new and couldn't be happier with NFI. They also had the repairs done on time. Thanks Dan
This is a wonderful place to get your car serviced or repaired. I have been bringing my BMW and Mercedes here for at least 5 years for all manner of service-they are very nice, thorough and fairly priced.
Been a customer for 20 years normally treated well. This time two weeks for an appointment then they wanted me to wait five hours out front in the rain for an oil change. What happened to customer loyalty???
If you want your car fixed the right way, this is the place to go. Mike and Bruce are two of the best mechanics on long island. They have the absolute top shelf technology on hand. If you want cheap, go elsewhere. If you want your car fixed the right way, go here!!!
I think you can tell the demeanor of the staff at this repair shop by their reply to my valid review. As a follow-up, the Mercedes Was towed to Mercedes Benz of Manhattan. There, they identified this very common design flaw in the car, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. My insurance company in fact covered this damage as it was directly a result of water damage to the car. John didn’t want to deal with the insurance company, got fed up, and held my car hostage unless I paid him an exorbitant fee in cash. I would highly suggest bringing your car to a reputableMercedes-Benz repair shop before bringing it to this chop shop. Not only could they not diagnose the problem affectively, but they were terrible to deal with in terms of the payment and business end of it. He has a bad attitude and is a poor diagnostician.
The guys are solid professionals. Competent, fairly priced and accommodating. They have worked on several of my imports; I have always been very satisfied. Its pretty apparent they have a passion for imports when you discuss your needs and their knowledgeable care for your vehicle.
North Fork Imports was recommended to me years ago by a friend that was quite fussy about where to take his older but beloved Mercedes Benz. He praised the work that was done and was very satisfied.What also, and equally important to him was the owner Mike's honesty in taking his car in for a diagnostic overview. Mike is straightforward and will only do what is necessary to fix the car properly. I have 5 cars and Mike works on all of them. 4 of my autos are foreign, I trust nobody else,period!! I highly recommend North Fork Imports for the excellent service and integrity that one would expect in fixing your automobile, whatever it may be!
