Confidence without competence is a dangerous combination, and unfortunately that’s exactly what I experienced here.
Within the last three months, I brought a vehicle in for what turned out to be a very straightforward issue. It was diagnosed as something far more serious and expensive than it actually was. Had I not taken the time to verify the diagnosis elsewhere, I would have paid for work that was completely unnecessary.
Mistakes happen—but what matters is how they’re handled. When I raised concerns and explained what I learned after getting a second opinion, there was no effort to reassess, no accountability, and no professionalism. Instead, the response was dismissive and defensive, as if questioning the diagnosis itself was the problem.
That kind of attitude doesn’t come out of nowhere. It reflects a broader culture where confidence seems to outweigh accuracy, and where ego takes precedence over customer trust. Since this experience, I’ve spoken with several people who had similar frustrations and have already chosen to stop doing business here altogether.
If you’re looking for careful diagnostics, transparency, and a shop willing to own mistakes, I’d strongly recommend doing your homework before trusting this one with your vehicle.
I am down on my luck money wise and asked my nephew to stop by Huse Tire to see if they had a used 275/55R20 tire, as my truck was stuck with a flat in the woods. He was tod by the girl at the desk to go the back tire pile and look. He started towards the fence where the tires were and was told by the owner that they didn't allow this.
As always, an excellent experience with Huse Tire. The starter in my daughter's Jeep died last October and they replaced it. Thursday evening she had a problem starting it and after messing with it a bit, we were able to get it started and brought it straight to the shop. They covered the replacement of the starter and wiring harness under their parts warranty without a single question and had it done in a day and a half. When I went to pick it up, I was met in the parking lot with the keys and an invoice for $0 for my records. Customer service is alive and well in North Lawrence!
They've repeatedly helped our business vehicles stay maintained and are very wonderful to work with. No hidden charges and no bull. I highly recommend this place.
Recieved the recommendation to go here from my company's fleet management department. I did not have high hopes, as past recommendations from this particular organization were... lacking...to put it nicely. As I was in desperate, I opted to give the recommendation a chance, and called them up. (Name I was given was Visser Tire, the business Huse took over.)
I originally spoke with Jasmin, who was Professional and eager to help. We corresponded via email after the initial phone call, and received prompt responses from herself and Dylan (the owner?).
They helped me navigate the complexities of getting new snow tires and swaybar end links on my fleet vehicle. If not for having to wait for the tires and parts to arrive, all the work could have been done the same day.
All in all, a great experience.

Thanks for fixing the sensor that Goodyear screwed up. That light was in almost two years. Love the new tires, the service, and how quick it all was. Staff is great, too.
Excellent service. Price was more than fair, service was quick and owner was very professional. The customer ahead of me had an issue and the owner was clearly going out of his way to make sure the customer was taken care of.. kiddos
I had 4 tires mounted and balanced there today, even though the building is still under construction they are very much open for business. The employees there were more than accommodating and even got me in on short notice to have my tires installed at a very reasonable price. I most definitely recommend them and will definitely be a customer of theirs again
When I dropped off my rims they were dragged across the face of the rim on the metal bed of my truck. When I picked up my tires the face of the rims were dragged against the door of their shop. It’s clearly obvious they don’t care about taking the extra time or effort to take care of customers property. Then I was gouged an extra $20 to get rid of my tires. $100 to swap 4 tires. What a rip off do not use this place.
Terrible customer service and terrible tire warranty, tell you what you want to hear when you spend money but the story changes when they have to honor what they do. Very disappointed
I was told the tire was $159.plus mounting but when I picked up the tire i was charged 194 for the tire. Total charge included mounting and taxes 231. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.
First trip, fixed flat. Later that day it was flat. When I took it back he said we didn't work on this tire (about 10 times), because there was no chalk mark.
He takes it in and brings back saying there is another hole (suspicious) and sent me on my way.
I've never been so shocked. It was most definitely the same tire.
