Howe Caverns is an incredible place to visit and the stayover is spectacular. The staff are extremely thoughtful and roll out the red carpet for you. They loved on us like no other and blessed us with heartwarming gifts! Due to the homelike environment (even better), we choose to frequent our visits yearly and ensure our friends and family take time out of their busy schedules to visit. Thank Howe Caverns for being a gift that keeps on giving! Blessed! The township is a beautiful place to explore. We love the caverns!

Very clean rooms, little gift bags with souvenirs and the staff are very accommodating. Ended up stay two nights instead of one. Plus you get 20% of your tickets to Howes Caverns.

Amazing view, incredibly clean. What a pleasant surprise. I have a kid at Cobleskill, I will be back for sure!

I stayed at the Howe Caverns Motel during my visit to the caverns, and it was a really pleasant experience. The location is unbeatable—you can literally walk right over to the caverns, which makes it super convenient if you’re planning on taking the tour or doing the adventure activities. The rooms are simple but very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The beds were cozy, and I appreciated that everything felt well-kept. The staff was friendly and welcoming, always ready to answer questions and make sure guests were comfortable. One of the nicest parts is the view—many rooms overlook the surrounding hills and it feels very peaceful. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Super clean motel with plenty of charm. Amazing views from the room. Swimming pool in the summer months. Friendly staff. Rooms are always incredibly clean and pleasant.

I have not a single complaint about this room! Incredibly clean, plenty of space, and a very comfy bed. Also has a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker; as well as a decent sized TV. Beautiful views from the window and quick walk to the lodge where the cavern entrance is.

The motel is fine. The view is really good. I did not have a great experience with the caves but besides that, the motel lacks of a proper restaurant or any other place to buy food after 6:00 pm. After the cafe closes you would need to go to town if you need anything. There was someone in charge after hours that helped us to get ice. That was good. After 10:00 pm there is no one to help with anything and you get a number that is for TRUE emergencies, as they inform, clarifying that any call that is not for a real emergency will generate a charge of $100. Location is ok to visit the caverns. There’s no other reason you should stay there.

We had a very problematic situation, and literally the entire staff, led by the Executive Manager, bent over backwards to help us and get our accomodations worked out. Not only that, they made significant adjustments along the way to accommodate problems we had. They are the best of the best. Not only that, the room was wonderful - great size, clean, perfectly located for our needs - I never rate any place a 5. THIS PLACE is a 5.

An excellent way to spend a few hours. We stayed at the hotel and it was a clean nice room. Included in the overnight stay was two adult tickets,a sample of great tasting fudge and a bag of dirt in which the little ones can use a mining sluice to uncover hidden jems. The room offers a coffee pot, microwave and small refrigerator. A beautiful view from the window adds to my rating.

Best motel I've ever stayed in. Clean, comfortable, all the amenities one could need. And the views and price just can't be beat. Looking forward to going back soon.

Rooms were clean and well maintained. Somewhat updated. But the very noisy wall HVAC units kept waking us up.

Clean room. Great view. Very quiet. Wish stayed here more than 1 night. Worth the price as you get a few perks with the room.

We visited couples of week ago. If you want to visit then you have to buy ticket online. Take some light jacket because in the cave is cold. We enjoyed.

10/10 recommend this motel for the views alone. There is nothing like seeing the mountains first thing in the morning when you open your curtains. We stayed here Friday-Monday. Keep in mind this is a MOTEL so don’t come here expecting a hotel-level rooms and we were so glad we didn’t. This motel blew our expectations of any motel. The room was mostly clean (there were a few short hairs caught in the blanket and straw wrappers on the ground). Both mattresses had protectors and a pad. Bathroom had towels, soap, and a hair dryer. Housekeeping stayed on top of making sure your room was ready when you came back. They replaced our towels/soap every day and even made the bed once. While there were only two of us, the whole room was spacious and could fit more people easily. For the price you pay and the area, it’s fantastic. We’re definitely coming back here with friends at some point.

This is a very fun place to stay. The motel is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are very quiet at night. As soon you arrived you will see a Howe Cavern gift bag at your room as a welcome gift. I love it. The motel main office is located on the same property and has a nice cafe that serves a delicious breakfast and lunch until 3 pm. and open in the weekends. They cavern tour is fun and the place is beautiful and clean the tour guides are very knowledgeable and make the tour fun. The gift shop is a great place to purchase merchandise and has a nice selection of stones, crystals, souvenirs, and clothing from Howe Caverns, and they open weekends until 5 pm. The staff are Howe Cavern are very welcoming and Mr. Dave, the property caretaker, is very nice and helpful. This is a kids friendly and disable, friendly place. My special needs teenager loves the trip and the cavern tour. We love it so much. We are planning to return for the apple picking season. The only concern I had it was that at night everything was close even the main office, and the soda and water vending machines were not working properly, bring some water and snacks with you for your stay at night because if not you might have to go somewhere else to get water or something to snack on. They don't provide ice machines like other motels I stay in. They do have a coffee machine in the room and a small refrigerator. The trip was a nice weekend getaway. I definitely recommend this place.

The room was nice when we walked in. And booking was easy over the phone. The positives were also the tv and mini fridge. The view was nice too. However, the bed and pillows were hard and extremely uncomfortable. The AC, which was right next to the bed, was the loudest I have ever heard. The water pressure in the shower was so weak that it was difficult to bath. There was a bug in the shower when we woke up. The coffee maker still had old used bags in it. I ended up sleeping very bad.

Exceptional, above expectations stay for a motel!! We had a great time at this motel. The view was spectacular from the window. Double sink bath sink, big bathroom with nice shower. Toiletries were high quality, coffee and tea were provided. Very clean and modern. We enjoyed our stay, and it was above our expectations. Will come back for sure.

My fiancé and I were impressed with the motel room, it was clean, quiet and cozy. We stayed at the motel and then went to the Howes Caverns. We had a blast! We got the stay and tour package, so we got free 2lbs fudge and a bag of hidden gem stones. The view from the motel is breath taking, I can’t recommend it enough.

We booked in late August, but I got called in to work. I rescheduled for late December with absolutely no issue. No question. Quick and easy. We drove up after Christmas and stayed for 3 days. What a lovely, little room. The room and bathroom were very clean! The staff was great. Very accommodating. The tour was fun. I’m ready to drive up on my next vacation!

Compared to other motels I have stayed at, this was one of the best. Room is modern, with a nice air conditioner, and a great view, clean and comfortable. I was there for one night, but more time would have been enjoyable.

The motel was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The view alone is worth the price. The room was very clear and well kept. The property was well kept and had a pool. It was a relaxing get away

Took a mini trip just to see the Caverns. Was a toss between the Howe Caverns Motel and a local Hotel. Motel reviews were great so I decided to stay there for the two nights. First of all - the view is simply amazing - cannot be beat; I'd stay there for a week just for the view alone - and every single room has that view. 2nd - the room was clean, comfy - and the bathroom even had two rooms - one with double sinks! And a full size ironing board! 3rd - nice sized fridge. 4th - friendly knowledgeable staff and easy to reach service. The food in the cafe is fantastic - small menu but everything we got was hot and delicious. Pool was clean and in a great sunny spot. To summarize - if you're looking to do the caverns (which was great btw) and need a place to stay - look no further than the Howe Caverns motel.

I've stayed in countless motels and Howe Caverns might be the cleanest I've ever been in-- it is astoundingly clean. The entire place is updated and quite comfortable. If the review stopped there I would certainly give it five stars. The problems? When you arrive to check-in on your reservation a large sign saying "Motel" beckons you to turn into the parking lot, park, and walk up to the office like you've done so many times at other locations. However, Howe waits until this moment to inform you with a note on the door that the motel office is permanently closed and to drive up to the main building to check in. We watched others doing the same thing and one wonders why there isn't a sign under the motel sign to tell everyone to continue to the ticket office to check-in. The motel sign also calls out to those without reservations by putting the word "VACANCY" on the motel sign. With rooms priced at $125 and up you not only do not have a clerk at the shuttered motel office to assist you and to watch over things as you sleep, you agree to pay $100 if you call the supposedly off-site night caretaker for anything that is not deemed an emergency by management once the ticket office closes. This may also be the only motel I've stayed at without an ice machine. If their one-bed units sell out you will be upcharged $20 for a two-bed unit (no other motel I've ever been to does this). One reason we decided to stay on property was because we wanted to eat at the cafe after the tour and be done running for the evening. The website said that the cafe would be open until 5pm, so we planned on eating there after our tour ended at 4:30. When we arrived we were given a slip of paper with the cafe hours ending at 4pm. An unwanted drive into town made us wish that we would've just reserved in town to receive everything that Howe doesn't offer and for less money. To end on a positive, every room does have a very nice view.

Super super happy with our recent stay at Howe Caverns Motel. The room was spotless. Everything worked, every amenity was in place. Parking directly in front of rooms- couldn't be easier. The place is unassuming from outside, but completely modern inside. Mini fridge and microwave in room, plus personal coffeemaker. Plenty of towels and they all seemed nice and new. Bathroom was very large and nice, with separate room for tub/toilet and sinks/mirror. Good tv selections. A couple of old school things about the place- reservations just by phone. Check-in is at the cavern ticket window up the hill. Check-out is simply "drop off the key". The café made an excellent breakfast (get the home fries!) We had no trouble finding a room here when other places were fully booked. There were even several animals and deer right outside once the place slowed down in the evening. Incredible views right from the front windows. Unfortunately the pool's not working right now so we couldn't use that. Great value for the money. Definitely go again!

The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. It looks as though they were recently updated and the view of the countryside out the window is quite lovely. We purchased the tour and stay package and the perks were fantastic. We got 1/2 lb of fudge, a bag of souvenirs and a large bag of mining rough along with our cave tours. We are extremely pleased with our experience and would highly recommend.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were firm and comfortable. This hotel is remote and quiet, yet 5 minutes away from a good selection of restaurants. Each had refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. Shower and toilet were separate from a large dressing area with double sinks. We did the tour and stay package x3 and we all think it was a great deal. The hotel is on the caverns property. Our package included 2 pieces of yummy fudge, a bag of rocks to mine, and in the room our souvenirs were a etched howe caverns glass, a postcard, a book of the caverns and a chip clip. I definitely recommend
