If I could now give ZERO stars I would, Me and my husband were trying to scrap a old lawnmower, & my husband knows it goes in short steel, the guy who works on the scale said that it was tin, “um excuse me TIN wouldn’t hurt your back when your lifting it, my husband knows what he is talking about, he has worked for a scrapyard before, word of warning don’t go here they will nickel & dime you, & give you TIN prices for your ACTUAL METAL…. We are going to Weitsman’s in Albany…
Tri-City Recycling folks are amazing. Not only was my first trip and account setup great but they went above and beyond to send my drivers license to me on my vacation once I realized it was missing and I figured out where it was. Thank you to the crew at Tri-city and there associated partners.

Great place to bring scrap metal. I bring old brake rotors, duct, and copper wire. Also great for things like an old dryer which might gye you a few bucks instead of paying $45 to get it hauled away. One of the few places that will take a few pounds and pay a fair price. They also just paved the site which should help keep your vehicle clean.
Guy refused to take our scrap metal. Was stereotyped from the beginning as soon as we got on to the scale. Guy tried to argue with me a certified Diesel mechanic and my boyfriend a certified mechanic about what a resonator for my boyfriend’s exhaust was. Cause he just replaced from his y pipe down on his 03 blazer. But since we were in my vehicle even tho all the other pieces for the exhaust were right in front of him he said no. On top of that wanted to refuse it because me and my boyfriend said we weren’t trying to argue with you we know what it is but we’ll just come back with someone else to show you what it actually is. Got butt hurt cause he didn’t know what the resonator was. refused us from scraping anything and then proceeded to yell at us “ I know what I’m talking about. I don't have time to argue with you. Have a problem go somewhere else”. On top of that proceeded to ask my boyfriend for his title for the Catalytic Converter and exhaust. I have never heard that in my life for an exhaust? Very ignorant , very judgmental, Very Rude, Very Discriminatory. If I could give them 0 stars at the moment I would.
Went here recently with my car full of aluminum that I collected over the past couple months and I only got back $60 which definitely seemed off, i felt robbed, so i won't be going here again.
Well I used to go here all the time up until today. I regularly scrap wire from jobs specially at this place because it is close to home. Today I showed up to scrap and the weight was completely questionable. I started to really question things when I went up to give my account number and was completely blocked from seeing the screen where the weight would appear. So I asked the employees to reweigh the wire and when they did it came up 8 lbs less than the original weight! So I then asked for a manager who promptly told me to “take it or leave it”. So to took it, when calling the main office I was directed to the same manager who refused to give me any form of higher contact than himself and hung up the phone on me (classy). Don’t go here is my best advice.
It took 4 hours to get loaded.. their freight was wet, messy with water and ice, snow.. after delivery, I cleaned and had to wait to get it dry .. Imagine how long I waited in winter time
Don’t let brokers send you here because it’s not worth it any money! Too tight blind sight dock, may end up tire breakdown and also make trailer very dirty!
People who work there aren’t bad but they can’t help it’s what it is.
Great yard, very clean & easy drop off of your items, worker in metal shop is very friendly, highly recommend anyone to drop scrap here, gentleman in the office is very helpful & friendly as well, all around great workers...
