Ever since Apple Green took over, this part of the countryside, in regards to recreational and commercial travel, has been revived and ultimately saved. If you were around for the original buildings, things looked glim for the ole traveling highways of America. Like, who the hell would want to drive or even rest in a dilapidated, unkept area of the highway. Gross. But now. The future is looking great. Apple Green is saving Travel Culture by raising standards and making things nice and proper for the American rest stop. From a guy who van lifes' it....thank you Apple Green ?
I love stopping here. This place has Starbucks, Panera Bread, Apple Green and other shops to get some food and coffee. But the most of all I appreciate its cleanness. I was watching a custodian Joanie today. She has been doing really great job. I appreciate the comfort and tidiness of this place away from home. Thank you guys ?
Truckers - don't stop here for fuel, or any other service plaza on the NY Thruway.
Overall not bad. Nice and clean with several options for food.
My one gripe is that the diesel pumps are NOT designed for tractor-trailers. You can only fill one side and it's a regular flow rate/size for cars. It would take 30 minutes to fill one tank on a semi.
To the powers that be - consider upgrading diesel pumps to truck stop high flow pumps. You're missing out on a lot of business from truckers. I'd rather go to an actual truck stop, not a parking lot.
Very nice plaza. Great food options. I like having something more than just McDonalds ?. I went past two other plazas because of that. Seemed pretty clean in the middle of the day. Bathrooms were good.
My only complaint is the layout of the truck parking area. There were plenty of places to park which was great. We are traveling with our 36ft camper and needed to park first and then get fuel. It’s not the easiest to get back over to the fuel pumps for diesel after parking. We managed and got what we needed.
Shout out to the hard-working custodians. They kept this place very clean and well-stocked (the bathrooms were pristine)!
The Chick-Fil-A restaurant located inside was crazy busy, but the staff was really pleasant and the food divine.
This location only has 3 fast food restaurants - Starbucks, Panera & Chic fila. We were here on a Sunday in August and since Chic fila is closed on Sundays we only had panera for an option for lunch. The wait times are RIDICULOUS!!! 40 minutes past the time the app showed it would be ready for a sandwich & a 1/2 salad/ 1/2 sandwich. Do yourself a favor and find something off the highway - it will take less time!! Awful. Zero sense of urgency and not 1 apology from a Panera staff member.
I've never been so impressed by a travel plaza! Several restaurants to pick from, souvenirs, fresh food, spacious restrooms, massage chairs, lounging areas, and even a farmers market in the front walk.
I rolled in late, and was grateful to still get a parking spot. Starbucks and Panera are two of my favorites! Big plus. I asked how much for showers ($10 - good!) But then if they were only for truckers? He said "no, I'll give anyone who wants one, a shower." I was bummed out. I get that's nice, but then don't call it a truckers' lounge, it isn't. We're on schedules, and sometimes have to go days, if we aren't near a spot with showers. Major disappointment.
I stop in here quite often. Recently renovated .They have ample semi parking which is nice.I stopped in before starting my shift to grab coffee and breakfast. I chose panara bread. Nice to see a different franchise in these service areas. I also love that they have commercial drivers lounge with showers and. Laundry it really helps us truckers! It’s a spacious relaxing environment to hang out for meal or coffee. Staff were super friendly.

By the time I hit Pattersonville, I was deep into the drive, that familiar mix of road fatigue and caffeine jitters setting in. I’d already been through one overpriced rest stop meal after crossing back into the U.S., but the miles were stacking up, and my body needed another pit stop.
Like most travel plazas on this stretch, it was clean, efficient, and practical—nothing glamorous, but exactly what you need when the road feels endless. The high-tech handwashing sinks continue to be a welcome feature, and the facilities were well-maintained, which is more than I can say for some gas stations I’ve encountered on long-haul drives.
At this point, my only real criteria for a good rest stop were:
1. Does it have decent food options?
2. Are the bathrooms clean?
3. Can I get in and out quickly without dealing with chaos?
Pattersonville checked all three boxes. No existential dread, no weird smells, no unexpected delays—just a solid place to stretch, refuel, and keep moving.
Would I go out of my way for it? No.
Am I glad it was there? Absolutely.
This rest area provides exceptional amenities for drivers. It features a driver's lounge with a dining area, laundry facilities, and showers. The entire facility appears to be newly constructed.
Pattersonville Travel Plaza is a clean, well-maintained stop with ample parking, great dining options, and friendly staff. The restrooms are spotless, and the convenience store is well-stocked with road trip essentials. A perfect place to recharge during your journey!

Auntie Annie’s Pretzels, Starbucks, Travel Mart, Roy Rogers, taste New York, Pizza, subs and sandwiches are just a few of the food options available.
Good place to stop, fuel up your car and yourself or take a rest.
Pattersonville is the very best service area on the New York State Thruway. It has numerous gift shops including 2 stands featuring local dairy items and honeys. It has a great Starbucks for hot fresh coffee. And It has the VERY LAST ROY ROGERS in New York State, which is fine because this Roy's was always the best in the chain anyhoo. Governor Hochul, please preserve this service area as it is the best representation of all that's been good about travel on the Thruway for the last 30+ years. I will be sick if our Roy's closes down. Thank you!
All rest stops I have visited are in their best shapes ever -enhanced cleaning, many choices the different types of food.Quiet though during late hours is open , large size parking are , farmer honey locals business is the outside door…
Pattersonville thurway stop is located on 90 nys west.
This location the parking lot was clean and very safe.
The interior of this building was clean and had a variety of reasurants and stores.
The bathrooms were large and clean.
Great job to all the employees who keep this place clean and safe for everyone to enjoy. I love New York .

Well-stocked retail stores and outlet for touristic information. Clean, spacious bathrooms. Vending machines and automated teller machine. Picnic tables in front. The attached gas station's pumps are in working order and operate fast.
Stopped here on a Saturday afternoon for the rest room only. They were adequate and clean. All the food vendors were open and doing some business (not a big crowd).
I didn't take advantage of any vendors so I can't comment on the level of service offered.
The stores are good and can handle good amount of traffic. The view is great and there is a gas station here as well. The gas station does not carry 91 though. There is plenty of parking and sitting area here. Rest rooms are huge and well equipped
Great rest stop, clean bathrooms, nice building, good healthy food options and a free mobile phone charging station. Great to stretch your legs around the grounds too.
