My family land I have found the location convenient and the staff helpful. Additional hours would be nice but we have had no issues getting rid of appliances and items we no longer need.
Hostile, belligerant employees. Immediately after paying and following instructions where to dump, guy in a vest starts yelling profanity at me and accusing me of not paying. This was a grown man who is incapable of controlling his emotional outbursts in public, he should not be employed in a position where he is interacting with human beings.
I think what happens when you get there and it is closed or open half day is that they post the hours one place and they post holiday days off in another. Like they are open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, but they also list the days they are closed and open half day, which sometimes falls on one of these days, or after or before it.
front entrance booth guy David is super cool and a very helpful person. He made my first visit very easy and was great to talk to. Will be going back for sure.
The staff here are great. However, operating hours aren't always consistent. There's been more than one instance of when I've shown up and the place has been closed without it being reflected online.
You should update closures when schedules change. Got there today and it closed at 12:30 when on line it was supposed to be open until 5:30. The internet is easy enough to let us know when hours change. That is third time this happened to me!!!
Who ever organized the bulk drop off on 4/13/24 is not too bright. Normal garbage drop off caught up in same line as bulk drop. Line of traffic almost to Moe rd.
10 years going staff is great and the new solar panels look good, hopefully lowered county taxes🤔😉. You do not need a permit to go for certain items. Good prices, cash credit and debit. Staff is always helpful.
Horrible hours. Only open 4 days a week and only until 4PM 3 of those days. Tuesday is their longer day but even then they closed early sometimes. If you work normal hours then you can never get there. Stay open later 2 days a week so people can use the service.
Well organized and very accessible. The staff are always friendly ready to help. The array of items taken is very broad and includes electronics. What a great value for our community.
The attendant charged us $500 for a trailer of wood (an old shed). They say they charge by the cubic yard, but my neighbor was able to dump his entire truckbed full for $40. Obviously there is a big discrepancy depending on who is there and they can extort you. Also, we had a dump trailer and they made us unload the entire thing by hand. I will never go back.
website Is useless... It says it's open but they are close and there is a posting in the gate instead. We'll no-one sees that posting in the gate if you check the website. It happened 2x now by checking their website saying site is open but it was close when I get there.
I went to the transfer station to purchase an out of town permit, had previously called to find out where to get the permit and was told to come to the transfer station. Upon arrival at the transfer station I was told to go to the town hall to purchase an out of town permit, so I went there. I was then told at the town hall that purchase of an out of town permit must happen at the transfer station, and after I explained that I had just come from there, the town clerk called the transfer station and clarified to them that an out of town permit is to be purchased there, not at the town hall. So off I went back to the transfer station.
I arrived back at the transfer station and the attendant promptly charged my credit card the fee for the out of town permit. But the attendant was not able provide either a punch card nor window sticker so this person called someone else. Another person then came and credited my credit card for the initial permit charge and then had me come over to another booth where I was charged again for the out of town permit. I was also given a punch card and window sticker and was finally set, even though a great deal of time, more than necessary, was spent by all involved. The second person who helped me was obviously annoyed about something.
In summary, I would give the transfer station facility and it's setup for recycling and trash drop-off five stars, but the process of getting an out of town permit only one star, hence the three star rating. Will revisit/update my review as I use the transfer station going forward.
This is a transfer station where all your county waste gets dumped and recycled. Some cities/counties have tou pay for waste through taxes, a few you have to pay for it to a private company and in Clifton Park, you get the option to dump it yourself.
The staff there is friendly and you can unload your recycling items for free. In addition, you. An also drop off tree limbs and puck up mulch or soil for free.
Wish you were open on Sundays. For weekend yard workers it would be so convenient to be able to dump on Sunday and not have to keep stuff around until the following weekend.
