Look past the outdated one star reviews and you will see Bob is a hardworking, knowledgeable man of integrity. I was recommended to send him my car for scrap after Triple A quoted me seven grand for a new engine. However, Bob assured me he could find me the parts cheaper. He referred me to one friend at another shop for the engine and one for the labor, saving my car and a lot of money. I pointed out that this would mean he’s making no money and he told me that it was the right thing to do and sent me on my way. I will recommend all my friends and family go to Bob for any replacement parts. He is a kind soul.
If I could give no stars, I would. I inquired about a part for my car a week prior, and was told the part was still in stock. During this initial call, I was told that I would have to pay for the part before arriving and even seeing the condition of the part. I don't know why or how that would be considered ethical, as the part could have been just as damaged as my current part is. I called on Thursday the 23 to ensure the part was there, as their site had it listed as "off and ready". I was told, "we will call you back in an hour" because they need to put eyes on the part that is still located on the vehicle, despite being listed as removed already. Okay, not a huge deal. I wait until 12:30pm, and still no call. At 1pm, I call back again, because at this point I need to either be able to obtain the part or order it elsewhere. I was told "we are busy, you're going to have to wait". Okay fine, I give them until 3pm and I call again. Still told "we haven't been out there yet." I place an online order elsewhere to obtain the part because at this point, they close at 4:30pm and the chances of me receiving this part have dwindled down. At 4:05pm, I am contacted to finally hear them say "oh we can't sell you the part anyway". Horrible way to do customer service, especially with car parts and people losing daylight quickly in the winter to install things. The way that my wife was also spoken to when she called to check in on the part was not professional, as she was told "we already told your husband he would have to wait until we had the time", yet you're a business that runs on customer service skills for those in need of car parts?
After calling several yards for a part I found it here but I was given a wrong part, not big deal but when the part was returned I was charged a 20% re-stock fee because they made a mistake & pulled the wrong part but it always more simple to blame the consumer saying ots the customers fault for giving the wrong year.
Well why would I say I had an 05 when I have a 03. I feel I had 20% stolen from me

I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews but I love this place. I’m giving 4 stars because the guy that answers the phone is ALWAYS grumpy but when I went there I got him out of his grumpiness and actually had good conversation. The parts are always in good condition; the service is fast and easy. Give these people a break guys; they’re tearing parts from vehicles, I’m sure it’s not a fun job. I’ll continue to purchase here whenever I need too.
Very rude on the phone and when looking there website it said it had the part but when called said nothing in stock in a VERY RUDE manner. Wouldn't buy from them if it was only place on earth.
Extremely helpful, friendly and quick. I think it was Jeff, who helped me get a rim for my car for way less than what I would’ve paid at some other local establishments.
I was very pleased with both the quality of the parts that they sold me, and with the quality of people working there. Not only did they make sure that the part that I bought was what I needed, but also they made sure that I was satisfied, had all of the accessories that I needed that I wouldn't have even expected to come attached. On top of that, when we were loading and unloading the parts, they made sure that I didn't have to work hard, and they were very careful not to damage anything. They were also super friendly and helpful, and we even had a nice chat shooting the breeze about different things that we have built. I hope not to need any more parts soon, but if I do, I know I'll have this experience to look forward to again!
Great place for parts at a reasonable price and the customer service is great called there today for a radio they didn’t have however he found the radio for me elsewhere with no issues that is great customer service

Have been buying auto parts here for 17 years now. Great guys and great prices. Sometimes they’re in a great mood and are awesome to deal with other times they’re very rude and short. I guess that’s the nature of a junkyard but just thought I’d offer some constructive criticism as a frequent customer.
Great service, stand up staff and I got my part within 1 day of ordering. Hopefully won't be needed but I will be back if I need more parts. Thank you Lake Auto!
Poor customer service
I went there couple weeks ago to buy a engine for my car they ask what kind of car and year and the size motor I give all the information it’s 2010 KIA optima 2.4 engine they gave me a KIA rando motor they told me it’s for different vehicle but it will fit in my car I bring the motor to my house and I scheduled to drop the car at the mechanic and two weeks later I drop the car to the mechanic and motor the mechanic told me this motor don’t fit this motor is too big it’s a V-6 and your car is 4 cylinder
I go back to the junkyard and the costumer service was so rude they want to blame me. They say you asking for this motor. How can I ask for this motor if I don’t have a KIA rando v-6 when they the one tell me it’s going to fit
Now they don’t want to take the motor back they sold me wrong they want to charge me 20 % for taking the motor back I know nobody suppose to work for free but if you do a mistake you should have fix the mistake it’s not fair for me to pay for something I’m not wrong for. I hope all you people go to this place better watch because because maybe they do to you the same they to you what they did to me
Owners are rude, they want way too much money for used parts, you can’t pull your own parts, and one person will tell you they have a part to then later go to get it and they don’t have it. Planet auto in Ballston spa is better.
Payed for my parts. But have to wait a week or better just to get them it says great customer service but can’t get a straight answer on when they will be ready all they say is we will call when they r ready
I called to junk my car over the phone and the next step was to schedule pick up with tow truck, I will say that up to this point my interaction was positive.
Today I tried to schedule a pick up. I first asked if Friday 8am was avail and the driver was booked. I then asked if Thursday at 8am was available. Apparently this line of questions was difficult. The driver told me to find someone else and hung up the phone. Not a professional interaction.
They should be closed down with that type of service .And they are on BBB wow. They told me to call the same day I payed for my auto part later before they close to see if available well I called the next day Wich is Friday to see if ready and it's not it's the end piace of the muffler to cut off so he should have told me it will take 5 days becouse they are closed Saturday and Sunday.
Charlie Tsao Is spot on with that review these guys must pay for good reviews because they have the customer service of trolls. If they see weakness in you they will take full advantage and if you want to return something forget about it you'd better have all recorded reciepts and be willing to argue for hours even if it was their mistake but you won't win they don't care how little the price. Never been treated worse at an establishment in my life and I even tried going back but they don't change.
Worst place you would go for parts. Their price is even higher than new part of ebay or amazon. You 'd be better prepared for fighting, if you want to return anything, even that's a wrong parts from their mistake. Those hoodlum doesn't care about business and service. They only care about your money. Also, don't pay cash there if they ask you to do so. Keep your receipt and records, someday you might need.
I called them to buy a transfer case for my truck.. The guy on the phone seemed very confused. I had already looked up the part on their website, so I even had their stock number handy. I politely explained that I needed the part today, so I can fix my truck and go to work tomorrow. He couldn't figure out where the part was, so he said that he would call me back in 15-20 minutes.. That was 3 hours ago... They are now closed for the day.. I'm missing a days work because of their incompetence... Not Happy..
Great guys to do business with. I own a 2003 Ford Taurus that always needs repairs (because its a Ford), and whenever I do I come here. Great used auto parts at a cheap price. just remember its a JUNK YARD, so you are buying used parts. Haven't had any problems yet~ Just make sure you talk to brandon there~Very nice guy to do business with.
