I've been bringing "Scrap" to their West Haverstraw Location for a Number of Years Since They've began Operation. Copper, Electric Motors, Old A/C Units (Disassembled).
Always been treated Fairly.
There are other Options in the Area, but I Prefer "NELSON'S".

Pleasant staff. However, they shortchanged me on the weight of my metal. Prices are lower than a nearby competitor in Stony Point. No reason to go back.
I highly recommend Nelson's Metals to anyone wanting to get rid of large heaps of scrap metal. David and his team are all awesome and paid me very nicely for all the metals I could carry with my car. Parking is also a plus plus at this facility. With the Elmsford Recycling Center, and I only got pocket change and angry crane workers hauling junk at the Elmsford facility. Will definitely be going back to Nelson's Metals again before the year is up.
I agree with all the 5 star reviews. We've been here a few times already. The staff is always pleasant and more than helpful. They seem knowledgeable about the different metals and prices. Pays cash in hand.
Its a joke.. you cant see the weight of what you bring in dosent have proper weight with signs for customers to see weight.. dosent have price of scrap for each metal... r.c weights and measurement need to pay them a visit.. i will not recommend this place.... Elmsford will pay you 3x what they do at Nelson's its a joke
Been here a few times. They get to you quick. Every time the guys helped me unload. Paid cash right away. Don’t bring your metal to a dump, bring it here.
Small Quantities - OK. I see someone wrote there is a 500LB minimum for steel - Never happened. Some places do have a 500lb requirement, Nelson Metals does not. He pays Cash and actually sorts the metal for you - most places pay based on the lowest valued item in the mix - his crew sorts the metal and I got a higher price. Good and friendly people there.
Saw the commercial on TV. They never mention to bring 500lbs to get cash. Then wanted to back down the muddy driveway. At the end it would've cost me money to get a car wash. So I left. Cash for your scrap metal. B.S
Price was right.Staff good too. Scale working properly. Pleasure to do business. Next time I know whare to go to scrap my metal for some beer money.Thank you guys.
