Tractor broke down they had me towed in less then a hour and got me repaired with enough time to get a day driver back to Pennsylvania....great service from great people

12:30am last night one of my drivers called about his driveshaft that snapped after hitting a bad pothole on I-287. I found these guys on NTTS breakdown and i couldn't be any more satisfied with their service.
The tow truck came and towed the truck and trailer to their shop where they detached the truck for us from the trailer (saving our load for our recovery driver) and got right to work first thing in the morning.
I called them at 10am the next day asking how many days / weeks we are looking at on repair time, their response “days…? You will be back rolling by lunch time!”
They were not lying! I was out of there the same day. Price was extremely fair and every single staff member i spoke with was friendly, respectful and helpful.

I had a flat tire and I called roadside assistance. BIG TOWS arrived within minutes. The service technician, Steve, was very professional and courteous. He had everything taken care of quickly, and we were back on our way in no time. Excellent service.
JJ’s Towing arrived earlier than expected. The phone call with the ETA was very appreciated. The tow operator was extremely efficient and personable. Thankfully, he was able to start my car so that I could take it to the mechanic. He was able to give me information about my car that no one had ever told me before. I have placed his information in my contacts for future reference.

Seems like when you are stuck, they can charge whatever rate they want really. 545$ for one hour of labour which was just a burnt fuse, that doesn't include a tow bill of 1025$
We were on our way upstate when our truck broke down and lost its brakes, it was 11:30PM! We googled and luckily found BIG TOWS, Inc…they were awesome! Monica answered our call and reassured us that Steve would be there to tow us shortly and that they’d work on the truck first thing in the morning. Steve arrived within minutes and rescued us! He drove us to a nearby hotel where we stayed the night and were up and running by noon and on our way home! When I called the company. Julia answered the phone and she was ever helpful from the start. They also got to my location very quickly which was very helpful as well. I gave all the information that Julia needed and she took care of everything. The driver was also very nice and help and got my car where I needed it to go with no problems. It was a smooth way back. We had a very positive experience with Big Tows recently. We are a small carrier from Mass with 3 tractors and we recently had an accident on the Cross Bronx on 95 with one of our tractor trailer units.
They came out immediately and were very good on scene. The owners son actually was there too , which says a lot since it was at midnight and raining.
Then after we got towed back to their yard I had many conversations with the owner Monika and she helped me a lot.
The owner was super friendly, professional and honest (which is rare in our industry).
I brought my truck to them for service and they were outstanding. They were quick and kept me informed throughout the entire process. If you need your trucks serviced I highly recommend them! The office staff was very nice and welcoming and Michael helped me, very nice kid!
I’ve been bringing all my heavy duty trucks there for repair for over a year now, there’s nothing they can’t fix and in addition to that they fix it in a timely manner to get you back on the road ASAP !!! usually same day if not within 24 hours, they Also deliver the truck back to your yard if the situation calls for it!! Can’t say enough wonderful things about this company! Big Tows was so patient, kind and caring in a time of distress. My battery gave out on the side of the NY state thruway and triple AAA wasn’t able to pick me up as it is a restricted roadway for them. I was connected to Big Tows through triple AAA. Mike was our driver. He was so kind and patient and personable. He comforted us and took great care of us and our car right to our destination. I also want to emphasize how quickly he arrived. In 20 minutes!!! This was incredible. We are so thankful to Big Tows and to Mike for keeping us safe.

Little expensive , For a owner operator, but They had me towed and fixed the same day. They even had the mechanic stay overtime to finish the job so I could deliver my load. The women that run the facility know their business !!! Tractor-trailer friendly Very clean Next to a great Korean restaurants !!!!
After my accident, other shops were telling me it would be a month or two before they could look at my tractor. The day after calling Monika, she had my tractor at her shop and torn apart. After 3 weeks of hard work and going above and beyond dealing with suppliers and insurance, Monika and her team had my truck fixed and looking brand new.
From getting towed in to yard from a wreck with my 579 Peterbilt, to completion was about 5-6 day turnaround. They were quick to answer the phone and quick to contact the insurance companies. It was hands down best service I’ve gotten owning my truck. And the work was amazing truck looks brand new

A most thorough, competent, meticulous, and supportive company, Big Tows of Chestnut Ridge. I had an accident involving my truck, the damage was extensive. I needed it fixed quickly. And associate of mine recommended Big Tows. Since he was experienced at these matters, I went with his advice. Monica of Big Tows Was on the phone with me at 8 o’clock the very next morning. She explained to me their procedure and went to work on my case immediately. Big Tows never let up. This place is definitely what they call one stop shop. Broke down in Spring Valley New York after I got off the phone with Monica I knew she was on her game and she meant business. She had a tow truck out to me within 30 minutes Driver was very knowledgeable remove my driveshaft and towed my truck back to their facility for repairs. Me being a owner operator I was very concerned about the cost of repairs and the downtime. My husband was stranded on the side of the road late at night.. they got him towed to their business quickly and the next day made this trailer better than before! Big tows was timely, accommodating and personable. We unfortunately blew out 2 tires on the thruway. They came quickly, brought us to their facility, allowed us to use their restroom and tried their hardest to find tires for us. When unsuccessful the drove us home with a smile on their face! Highly recommend them!!
