Was asked to pay $37 upfront (no invoice) for a NYS inspection for an electric vehicle (EV). Clearly stated that I need an EV inspection.

Paid $37 fee ($10 safety + $27 emissions) for an ELECTRIC VEHICLE (no tail pipe) inspection!

The place is very good. I bought a used car from there and it's doing very good. Hey guys pretty tough though so don't let yourself get pushed over. But he's nice.
Always comfortable bringing my car there joe is always always honest and straightforward tells you like it is , weather you want to hear it or not Ariel behind the counter is also excellent, in my past experience all the mechanics have been pretty good never had a problem
Literally lifesavers. Such nice and helpful people. Had a little car emergency—a piece of my car fell off—they took us in immediately, fixed the issue, and were so so nice about it. Highly highly recommended.

I had an excellent experience at Tallman Tire & Auto Repair. Joe and his team did top-notch work—fixing engine misfires, replacing spark plugs and ignition coil packs, cleaning the intake manifold, topping off fluids, and more. My car runs better than ever, and the price was fair for the quality of work.
Also, a big shoutout to the amazing receptionist! She was incredibly helpful, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly in the waiting room and over the phone. It’s rare to find this level of professionalism and customer care. Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for honest, expert auto service

I came here to get my dad's car inspected. Knowing that it needed some things done prior to the inspection, the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. They were fair with the cost of the work that needed to be done. Highly recommended for all car services.

I had an unfortunate experience driving down to NYC from upstate with my car breaking down along the way. Luckily, I was able to find and pull into Pullman Tire. When I tell you Joe saved my life and made this experience so much more manageable! I am so grateful for the kindness and efficiency by Joe and his team. I live fairly far away but may come back just to thank these guys again.
I just moved to this part of the county and wasn’t familiar with repair stations in the area. I pulled in to Tillman Tire and Automotive Repair and was greeted with a smile by 3 different people that work there-at 8:00 on a Wednesday morning.
My car was done in under 15 minutes. It was spotless when I gave it to the mechanic and got it back the same way!!

Amazing service, walked in, got a state inspection for my aunt’s car. No appointment, super friendly, got some new wiper blades. Mechanic and front desk staff were very kind to my aunt
Took my car in to get inspected. The tech that took off my LF tire for inspection absolutely destroyed all of my lug nuts when putting the wheel back on. 4 of the lug nuts were torqued to over 250lbs(maxed out my torque wrench rated for 250lbs) and slightly rounded! The 5th one was completely rounded off.

I went to Joe & his team while visiting from out of town to coach a gymnastics competition. I ended up with a flat tire. Not only did they get me right in (I had to coach another session soon after dropping the car off) but they gave my car a once over to make sure I could get home safe, and advised me to seek service. I drove carefully back to Albany, but if I lived in the area, I would’ve trusted Joe and his team with my vehicle repairs. Thank you!
Great experience and excellent service from the moment I walked in the door very early on a Saturday morning to a cheerful 'Good Morning' from Kelly. Joe took my car right away to address my problem. I needed a run-flat tire, and the one I needed wasn't in stock. Instead of telling me to come back, Joe made several phone calls and had a delivery to his shop within two hours, which prevented me from having to miss work. He addressed my overdue service issues as well. The waiting area is pleasant and comfortable with coffee, tea, and a variety of snacks available to help yourself. If you're looking for quality repair with integrity, honesty, and exceptional customer service with a fair price....Tallman Tire & Auto Repair is the place to go!!!
Great service and great staff. They were able to plug my tire and get me back on the road in 16 minutes. I had a family emergency and had a 110 mile trip to get there. My tire pressure sensor showed that my one tire as too low. After trying to fill the tire with air, I noticed a nail in the tread. I found Tallman Tire and was immediately helped and back on the road. Thank you for the excellent service and reasonable prices.
They fixed my problem in under an hour! I was lucky they had a tire in stock. They checked everything for me and I had a great experience. They also have snacks! Everyone was very friendly too.
Arrived here early morning for a low tire pressure issue and sat here for over one hour to get a single tire valve replaced. Excessive wait time...Price was $50.00 for a valve which I thought was a high price as well. The lady in the office was pleasant, but my experience wasn't!
We had switched from a shop we liked that closed. Tallman tire has the place most people recommended and I can see why. They have a very nice office staff and the work they do is spot on. They are honest about what work they do and more importantly don't do and will set you up with the right people if the work calls for it.
I use to love this company but in May I had two good mature senior citizens go there & I had the lady come out to speak to them about purchasing some tires for their sports car. I also suggested that they go inside & make two cups of coffee for the wait. The lady told them the coffee was for certain customers so that nasty comment destroyed the tire sale so my friends decided to go somewhere else for service. I was so shocked by the workers Tacky comment about the complimentary coffee that I will never patronize Tallman Tire & Auto again.
Went in for a diagnostics because car was running rough. Charged me 150 for an hour of labor for diagnosing the issue of the car. In the end all they did was read the check engine light code and told me to consider replacing a high pressure fuel pump for 2k+. After this, I went to the the dealership and they found the issue and it only cost 400 to get the car running back to normal. If I’m paying for a diagnostic job I expect the issue of the car to be found. Be wary. This shop tried to get me to spend 2k+ for a 400 dollar job.
Upon reading further reviews, save yourself the hassle, go to a trustworthy shop to avoid a headache.
I have a lot of repeat business here, so they must be good. They are always extremely busy, but somehow they can fix your car in a day, or will call you if a part hasn't come in. It's called a tire place, but its essentially a repair shop that is part of a tire network. Joe the manager is knowledgeable and friendly; somehow he keeps his cool even on hectic days. Don't go looking for a bargain: his rates are standard and can add up quickly on a big job. So far, after 3 years I've never had a problem. Recommended.
I've dropped in here 3 times in the last year: screw in my tire, stone stuck between shield and rotor, and NYS inspection. Each time they were friendly and professional and had me on my way quickly and at reasonable rates. They have early morning hours which I really appreciate. I haven't had major work done here but given my positive experiences I would definitely give them a chance with something more serious.
