we bought a 3 liter diesel engine with a cashiers check on oct. 21st with 27000 miles on it. put in in found metal in oil filter ran down the road for 10 miles till it lost oil pressure from worn out bearings. called Andres at Brewster auto he said no worries under warranty. sent pictures and engine back .come to find out the engine they sent came from north side auto according josh with 263000 miles on it. it's taken over 6 weeks and nothing is done. i am glad we took pictures of the engine they sent because they don't match . they won't send my money back . these people are very dishonest and should be charged for fraud. i wish i could give them a -10 stars. sending copies to car-part--BBB of new york and attorney general

I bought a torque converter from them that came out of a 2011 BMW 328i and lied about the milage in order to get me to buy it.
The man ANDRES who I talked to at the place claimed it had “81k” on the transmission that the part came out of.
I doubled checked by running the vin number associated with the car this part came out of and it had 197k!!!
When I called to have at least some sort of proof from them given they should have everything in the system and ANDRES still tried to lie on the phone stating “the part actually has 97k” pretty much just took a 1 off of the original “197k” that the car had.
They will not give you a refund either because they like to SCREW PEOPLE
When I asked to speak to the owner I was continually pushed off.

I bought a cluster odometer for my daughter’s vehicle and when I got it and my mechanic plugged it in and all the lights would come on as if it was in an accident. I went to return it less than 30 days with the receipt and they said they wouldn’t give me back my money that there’s nothing wrong with it, but yet they told me they sold it to me with just the engine light on it, but not tell me that when I purchase it. They said they would give me credit. This isn’t how you do Business. I have a video of a fight that happened in front of me in their office “trailer” while standing in line waiting to purchase it. Don’t recommend them this place to anyone can look for parts go to a budget scrap or junkyard. This place is shenanigans.” Scam”

I drove 6 hours trip to get a transmission
just to find out they gave me this stick shift with only four gears working not fifth and making grinding noise, called them and I had to answer phone calls from their insurance company so basically they used me to get paid for the second transmission. Drove back another six hours to return the first one and get the other one just to find out this one is even worse, all gears working but all making grinding noise, called them again and now they find every excuse and what I think is their insurance company just pay them once.
After I paid $1700.00 and 12 hours driving, time installing transmission twice and they telling me is because I don't know how to do my work, I just can say Live and Learn.
So my advice at this place people, if you can't see what's inside, do not buy it.

this place is a totally scam. Don’t buy anything from these people. We purchase an engine for Mitsubishi evolution X when we install the engine we noticed the oil was leaking from oil pan . Looks like was removed before when we remove it to put a new gasket we found out it was a lot of metal shapes, when we called for the warranty, they denied it. They give us excuses and on the end they didn’t pay anything back. Be careful with these people. They will never help you and they never stay behind the warranty.
Called one week ago to put in for a part everything was going good until I didn’t receive a call back. I called the shop again only to find out they have to look for it and they said they’ll give me a call if they can or can’t locate it. It was only a day later so I didn’t pressure them waited a whole week for a call never got it. Call them again a week after waiting only to find out they didn’t have the part matter of a fact they didn’t even have 1 of 3 parts that they said they did have a week ago. Be careful with this shady business they will waist your time just like they did with mine.
Called to inquire about a set of wheels they had and wanted to double check that they did infact have them. Because they where from a different model then my car, they double checked the fitment and wanted to make sure they would work. All in all, the wheels where in near excellent condition and i mentioned to them that i may be showing up right before closing, so they held the wheels for me and waited till i had arrived. They even included the tires that where on the wheels aswell which they didnt have to do. Would 100% recommend to anyone who needs salvaged parts.
Haven't installed engine, good buying experience. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Oil pan was cracked on the engine, they gave me a fair discount, I am happy with the deal.
I wanted purchase a rear axle out of a 1994 explorer. When I called about it i asked if I needed to pull it out of the car myself, they went on to tell me that I didn't. They then told me that they would call me back later so they could inspect the part and be sure its in good condition. They called back quickly and we scheduled for the next day. I drove to the site, was told they needed 30 minutes to retrieve it. They pulled it out from a pile and when presented with it I wanted to open the differential, to check the health of the gears. They responded saying that I might damage the case. I asked if they would open it for me- they said that they might damage the case. Which makes me believe that they did not quality check the item prior to my pick up.
They weren't mean about any of it, the service was quick... But if there is a 'no refund' policy and I cannot inspect the item, it led me to reconsider the purchase, and chose not to buy it. 2 hours of driving and 11 dollars in Tolls, that decision was not made lightly.
Nasty people. Dorothy the assistant refused to give me warrenty but wouldn’t still sell me the part as is bc a part wasn’t off the same exact car but off the same motor and same exact part on my car, but was quite mean about it. And the guy on the phone was also quite mean telling me he knows who I can bc Dorothy and to not show up or call until the part was ready for pick up and has been 3 days since then and haven’t received a call that it was ready. Place deserves 0 stars. Worst junk yard I’ve been to in the last 5 years of working on cars. Crazy that management lets people like that run there business. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! DO NOT LET THESE REVIEWS MAKE THEM LOOK GOOD! THE 2.3 STAR RATING IS A ON POINT!

Had to get a door for a 2005 subaru a few years back.
Item was exactly as described on the website. When we arrived, the door was ready to go, sitting near the main gate. Not sure any names, but a worker came out and carried the door and loaded it in the car for us. Price was very reasonable as well.
Overall I had no issues here at all and would go back if they had a part I needed. Just do your due diligence on the items you buy, that goes for any used auto part. It may work now, but could fail at any time. Not this shops fault.
I bought a rear differential for an 06 Chevy Express 3500 cutaway. No one had this thing used in the area. It costs nearly 3k new. Carl was able to locate one for 1600$. Sadly the shipping company lost it but Dorothy was able to find it and get it shipped to my mechanic. Great job!! The unit was very clean and in good shape. I highly recommend this place.
I received amazing customer service for Karl. He send me photos of the Rear Sub-Frame I needed and helped me find one that was in the best condition. Great communication, very professional, fair and reasonable prices.
I plan on returning shortly for the next project or item I need.
Dont trust this company. They do not honor core charges and sell motors with missing parts. I purchased a WRX motor with parts missing they didnt say wouldnt be missing. Makes you wire the money instead of using credit card to stop charge backs. Beware of this fraudulent company selling bad parts.
Bought a engine that was "stated to be low mileage, in good running condition" went and bolted all Accessories on motor, trans, turbo, belts etc, to drain the oil and sludge, tree bark, followed by a TON of metal flake, rod bearing on piston number 2 was beyond toast!!!! A month later still fighting to get money back or some type of Compensation, nothing but the run around, everyday another excuse, ohhh the owners not in, we need photos, etc and the rudeness over there like I'm the one we sold them a bad motor. The run around to say the least, I'm a business owner and this was for a customers car that is now on stand still, while owner of car is still out money and a motor. Terrible business practice, stay away at all cost!!! Wish I would have read reviews earlier
Well where do I begin? Well after me calling at 14 times in one day I finally got Dorothy to give me some information about when the engine we bought would be shipped and that information only took a weeks more phone calls!! So when we got the engine we hadn’t even put it in the vehicle our SCE certified mechanic said it had NO compression!! That was after Dorothy and the website said they would send us a video of the engine running and they NEVER sent that either! So now I have a worthless engine I can’t use and Dorothy will not return any phone calls or emails!!! DO NOT BUY ANY THING FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! They’re THIEVES AND LIARS!! I don’t know if they see these but I welcome them to prove me wrong because I have documentation with emails they’ve received!!!
Ordered a transmission in July. It was installed two weeks later. Called and advised of such based on what the mechanic told me. Dorothy took my mechanic's info, they contacted my mechanic to verify that the transmission was faulty and agreed to send a replacement. A week goes by, no contact from Dorothy. I called asking questions about the transmission. Mileage, tracking number, etc. They NEVER provided any info. Instead I got Dorothy who sounds as if she smokes a pack of Newports a day yelling at me for being upset and inconvenienced because now not only have I wasted money getting the transmission installed; I'll have to pay to have the trash one they sent me taken out and the replacement installed. When I said don't yell at me she said "I'm not yelling at you. When I yell at you you'll know it and trust me, you don't want that." Guess I should've been scared and shaking in my boots! Lol. Anyhow, I filed a dispute with ebay and my bank and left feedback regarding the situation and their response was "used parts go bad." I picked my vehicle up the other day and considered the $1500 I paid for it and the $1800 for installation a loss. Save yourself the trouble. Purchase elsewhere!! Unless you have money to waste.
On 2/5/2021 I Called Them For an Engine That The Listing Price Was $5,500, I Wanted To Pay With My Credit Card to Be Protected, But the Sales Lady (Dorothy Roeglin) Convinced Me That if I Will Make a Money Wire it Will Be Only $5,000 So I Agreed.

My Conclusion That She Sold Me This Engine Knowing it's Defected, And That's Why She Convinced Me To Pay By Wire and Not My Credit Card to Avoid Me The Option of My Credit Card Protection, And Also The Disregard of All My Emails and Phone Calls, Prove it All...

SCAMMERS, they'll sell the same engine over and over and change part number on their website to resell that engine again an send you a completely different engine.. should of listened to the peoples reviews and went with different company! i purchased a engine and paid extra on a specific engine in the picture and purchased it as a long block. what i recieved was a rusted engine that clearly wasnt the same engine in the picture with unknown miles on it. was wrong engine and it grinded when turned over, i called right away and the lady who answeres the phone was completely rude and they are a company i would never advise to anyone.. there went 2900$ down the drain.. id give zero stars if it would let me..all the positive reviews on here is clearly from people who work there!! haha place is a joke.
I made the mistake of not entirely trusting the negative reviews on this business. I would avoid it at all costs my god what a disaster. Thankful I needed something simple and they still managed to screw that up. I knew they were suspicious when they needed 100 dollar deposit for just a mirror. What was I thinking. Ended up getting me the wrong one and had to deal with a very distraught lady. What a nightmare
I'm very happy with the service I was giving when I purchased a very technical V8 Audi motor from them. They removed from vehicle almost immediately and with no damage from removal. They stood by motor and had complete Carfax before I purchased. Very quick to return calls. Nice to know they are there
Do not order from these people. I paid $1200 for a engine. I found it on ebay. They told me too call them direct and order it will give me a better deal. That was a lye. It suppose to have 87.000 miles . I found the serial number on the engine and here to find out it has almost 300.000 miles on it. The timing case was busted up. Oil everywhere. The oil filter looks like it was never changed. I called them and they said just clean it up and put your old timing cover on. And it runs great. I asked them several times for vin off the vehicle it came off of. Would never give it to me. I found it my self with some digging. I could of got that same engine prob in way better shape for 600 around here. Never do business with them beware they will say it has low miles when it doesn't. If you look everything they sell has really low miles. They do they so they can RIP you off. I should of looked up reviews first. There is a couple people say there good. Them people prob know them or they bought something small that dont matter. I asked them to send me a engine that is right and with the miles I bought it with. They said we can give you a refund if I pay for shipping and send it back. I dont believe they will even refund me I dont trust them at all. My mechanic said i been putting in engines for 30 years and never seen one this bad. And he said it cant have 87000 miles that's why he dug Into it and I have to find another one. I'm not putting a engine in that looked like this into a 8000 dallar car.
Worst place ever. Still waiting for a part to be sent to my mechanic who is equally terrible. They sent 3 defective parts so far. Now we are waiting for a 4th presumably defective part. My car has been in the shop for 3 months. Worst mechanic and parts experience of my life. DO NOT USE these people for anything. I wish I didn't have to pursue legal ramifications but unfortunately that is something you must be prepared for if you use this place. Amazing how people run businesses nowadays. Please adhere to the warning to save yourself from misery later. You have to put 1 star in order to post a review but this place is a NO STAR establishment I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place.
Guy tried to be helpful, but they're definitely not the most competent place
Bought calipers from these guys and SPECIFICALLY asked them the ONLY reason I was buying them was for the bleeder valve because the calipers I had were fine but the bleeder was wrong. So I specified that I NEEDED the bleeders to be fine. It was literally the only reason I was buying them. I picked them up, and of course, they're stuck. Had to drive all the way back despite my brakes not working and they replaced one and pulled out another. But of course even with the correct itemthey didn't include the mounting bolts to put them on. I mentioned it to the owner Asi and he tried to help... I SPECIFICALLY told him 3 times "it's the ones that mount to the frame".. I even offered to give the guy a tip because I wanted it done right. So which one do they give me? Some bolt that holds the caliper together.. I specifically described the bolt 3 times to make sure they knew it was the right one. I called and told them the mistake and he told "that's your problem"... totally rude and unprofessional, especially considering those bolts should have been with the calipers on the first place.
I'll admit it was nice thing he tried to do by leaving them outside for me to pick up after hours, but don't tell me "that's your problem." .. seriously?
A common theme here is: you check with them MULTIPLE times to make sure what you're getting is right and they still screw it up.
Guy tries to be nice but place is a total hassle and they screwed up multiple times. Also overpriced. Used items are supposed to be 50%... they charged $50 for calipers that were at Autozone for $80 brand new. Should have just done that in retrospect.
I've used junk yards before, and Brewster is usually one of my phone calls when a used part is all i can get, or the better option. I'm writing this review because a couple people are making them out to be crooks, and liars.
The truth is, you are buying a USED part! Is it new? No. Is it in perfect condition? No. Of course its not. Its usually the only option you have, because the dealer no longer makes it, the aftermarket doesn't have it because its obsolete, and you have no other choice.... most of the time...
They buy cars that are crashed, or totaled, or have a bad motor, or the frame is rotted out, etc. AND THE PARTS YOU ARE BUYING ARE COMING FROM THOSE CARS.
Asi and the other people there have helped me out numerous times, and a lot of times you do need to wait, because the part needs to be removed from the vehicle. Thats common practice at junk yards.
One thing I will admit that sucks, is they DO NOT give you back your money, only credit towards your next part.
Stopped by there last week as I was trying to find a donut spare for my Acura. Tried about three other salvage yards in the area and none of them had it and none of them offered to find it for me. They didn't have it right there but they took my number and got back to me within 24 hours as they could order it for me. They gave me a very fair price, I ordered it with my CC over the phone, and they had the tire in about two days. I picked it up and it was exactly what I needed. Couldn't ask for more.
These guys are awesome. They are about 45 minutes from where I live (I couldn't find the part I needed close to me) so I drove out there and it was worth it. I'll definitely be using them again. They were not only kind, they explained in detail what I needed and why I needed it, measurements etc. Asi is the gentleman that helped me and I give such gratitude to him. I never write reviews but I wanted to take the time to write this one because of the excellent service I was provided. Thank you so much guys!
The worst experience ever. On my third non-working Subaru transmission installed by a certified mechanic. They never return calls and the "technician" is useless, incompetent, condescending and unfriendly. There's no way to get a hold of anyone there in a management position. It absolutely is a scam and they don't come close to standing by their customer service commitment. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. No refunds, no help, complete run-around and out $350. Contacting the better business bureau and my lawyer today.

I called and had help within three rings, They knew what i was talking about" windshield wiper trans" and had it pulled within two hours, called me back and i picked up. Right part, works perfect, good price great service, nice people, will be back.
