I stopped using the Drop Shop a while back because they were always so busy and a garage that opened recently nearby were not. Big Mistake. I asked the garage to install new struts and in doing so they ruined my transmission. They reluctantly installed a used transmission and destroyed that one also. During one of my many trips back there to fix leaks they got in my car with a tool in their back pocket and put a 6" tear in my driver's seat. They denied this and said I got them with the transmission? They did not stand behind their work and told me to come pick my car up. We're happily back at the Drop Shop where we've had nothing but excellent service. Mike B. even hooked me up with another vehicle! Thank you, Village Drop Shop.
I brought my VW in because I had a power steering leak. I had to refill the reservoir about every 40 miles. When the mechanic(s) at the Village Drop Shop first checked, the secretary told me they looked at the lines and said they didn't see a leak. I told them I was not imagining this... keep looking. Soon after they said they found the leak. I went in, paid the $586 fee and was glad to have my car back. A week later the reservoir was dry, so I took it back in. After further research they told me that they found the leak AGAIN! The mechanic said he had never seen a leak like this before and it was going to cost me another $1900 to fix. Say what? I told them that if I knew this in the first place, I would never have paid the initial $586. It's an older car (2002) and $2500 (total) to fix it was more than I was willing to spend. I said I might consider having the work done if they subtracted the $586 from the $1900 since the work they did previously wasn't necessary. They refused and nothing ended up being fixed. I have been using their services for the past 3 years and already made one exception to their work when they only partially fixed an emergency brake. This is because the mechanic was anxious to get home for the weekend, was in over his head and didn't allow himself enough time to do the job right (I had told them before bringing the car in that I needed it that weekend). But they are close and nice so I decided to give them another shot. A BIG, expensive mistake! I think if you can't guarantee your work, you shouldn't be in business. If you don't know how to fix something you should say so. Otherwise, it's strictly amateur hour. Now it's my turn for refusal....to ever use to The Village Drop Shop again!
Mike and his team were amazing. My car was well taken care of by Mike and Mel. I was walked through the upcoming care needed and given options for how to maintain my vehicle. I highly recommend this shop.

I brought my car in for an inspection and alignment, and 2 new tires mounted and balanced which I brought in myself. Had one small leak repaired on another tire. Total cost was almost $800. They charged me for an inspection. They told me on the phone that the car will need brakes but that it will pass this time. But very close to needing replacement. They said it needed tie rod ends for the inspection and alignment. I agreed to that. When I picked up my car they said that it failed the inspection due to the brakes. I said that's not what u told me on the phone, but still charged me for the inspection. They said that the pads sensors are touching. THEY AREN'T BY THE WAY. AFTER THEY REFUSED to refund me for the inspection I left. I brought my car to a a reliable place and it passed with no issues. They said my brakes are fin. I will never bring a car or even a wheelbarrow to this place ever again
I brought my truck to the dealership where I bought it. Transmission was slipping and the driver's side door squeaked. Dealership mechanic told me the transmission was fine and that the door needed grease. I knew he was wrong on both issues. Mel at Village Drop Shop reset/reprogrammed the transmission and it's perfect. Becca ordered at $20 door check and now that's fixed too. This is not the closest garage to where I live but I will keep coming back.
They take care of customers even in tough positions, they are exceptionally reliable people. Seriously they go the extra mile and deliver great service. A+
Everytime I bring my car into them their prices are fair and they actually fix the problem I'm having with my car. I love how they have someone answering the phone and scheduling. Very helpful
I'm late in posting this review. Our second home is in Pine Bush so we are not familiar with many local businesses. Covid kept us in NY for a lot longer than expected. As a result I needed an oil change. While I was waiting for that service the owner said my front brakes needed replacing. I was getting as pulsation when braking hard so I was interested in getting the brakes done before my return to our SC home. I forget the owner's name, but he quoted a price that was much lower than my Mercedes dealer back home. The next day I waited while the front brakes were replaced. It's been two months since that service and all is well in SC. My car still stops without any pulsing. Sorry for the delay in posting, but receipt of you holiday card prompted this review.

I used this auto shop due to the fact that it was the closest to me. Wow is all I can say. The time they spend talking where customer cannot enter is unworldly and on top of that everyone there doesnt smile at all. Now i am not expecting disney customer service but this is just a sad place to be in. The manager or co owner whatever her title,
is very misleading and could care less for new customers. They work on return business because they screw new customers. I did a inspection and they failed both my cars and had me pay. My preferred shop would tell me "hey you might not pass because of this or that: to save time and money. These crooks like to lead you on so they can squeeze the money from you. Be CAREFUL coming here. They are here to rob you legally and not help you.
I'm a Retired Mechanic. Brought my vehicle here for a state inspection. They tried to sell me on tie rods, a ball joint and alignment. Trust me, there was absolutely nothing wrong with any of the above mentioned components. I've been doing NYS inspections for 30 yrs and still have my inspectors lic. Brought it to another shop and had it inspected.

Very honest, reliable service. Becca is great helps with everything and very knowledgeable. Won’t bring my vehicle anywhere else. I have a lifted truck and they do great custom work. They had bigger custom ubolts made in 12 hours and installed cause I ordered the wrong ones.
Never give you the hard sell. They only fix what you need. Always have my vehicles ready on time and Becca always makes me feel comfortable. Of course Kris and Mike are great too.
Amazing shop, the mechanics here know their stuff and did an amazing job on our truck!! We will not go anywhere else now, so glad we found Village Drop Shop!!
After talking to the Fiat dealer for over 2 years about where the oil leak was in my Fiat 500 and them not being able to figure it out, the guys at the Village Drop Shop figured it out the first time they looked at the car. Definitely bring my car there from now on.
