I brought my car here having no idea what was wrong with it. They were able to quickly locate the problem and resolve it. I also got my car inspected here. Price was very reasonable. I will come again :)
My appointment wasn't technically for 18 days but they told me I could drop it off and they would try to fit me in before then. They called me the first day and said they had it all done. If you want great customer service from a local family owned business, go to Scotty's.
First time going to Scotty's today (and I'm from this area) to check over a high mileage vehicle of mine and the problems I was having. They were friendly, thorough and easy to discuss the issues and determine what to move forward with. Their detailed findings get texted to you and makes it MUCH EASIER to see and understand what they are talking about. Loved their service! UPDATE: BTW I've been there three more times for family cars since this visit.
I can’t say enough good things about this shop! My check engine light came on unexpectedly while I was on a road trip, and even though I didn’t have an appointment, they took me in right away. Everyone was so kind, patient, and reassuring. They really kept me from getting super overwhelmed in a stressful situation. Amazing service and genuinely caring people! Highly recommend!
They were so amazing our car went out as we were passing through and they were the only automotive shop that took the time to help us If they wouldn’t have been so kind we would’ve been stranded over a 1,000 miles from home. I highly recommend them

DO NOT GO HERE . They only care about themselves ! There wife was so rude to me and awful and when I defended myself they wouldn’t provide us business anymore after all the time we went there and gave them our service ! People are pansies !
Beth, Tom, and the Service technician went above and beyond with my service today. We had family holiday travel plans that were disrupted by a flat tire that required replacing. They were able to fit us in their busy schedule in a short window of time to get the tire in and replace it. They were very kind and empathetic with our situation. Amazing service and quality work.

Went to the Women’s Workshop yesterday at Scotty’s. It was great. I will go again when they do it again next year. And thank you to Parkway Pizza for the delicious pizza. We need to support our local/family businesses.

Scotty’s went over step by step the issues found with the car. Provided and estimate and advised which repairs were the most important. They were quick with the repair and were continually communicating through out the day with updates
I honestly don't want to share how well this place treats me. If I'm honest, it's probably the best service I had with any service center. Please don't swarm them.
I moved to the Minoa area a few years ago and was thrilled to find a mechanic who was repeatedly suggested.
Scotty's Automotive is prompt when setting your appointment and keeps you informed of any and all work that needs to be done before they start.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with them and will continue to keep them as my mechanics.
Best auto shop around. I recently snapped off the oil plug bolt right in the oil pan. Scotty's was the only place I called that even mentioned trying to get the bolt out instead of jumping straight to replacing the oil pan. They also diagnosed and fixed a bad temperature sensor for me in the past. Honest and dependable mechanic, I highly recommend them.
This place is known for being true and trusted. They do quality work and do not take advantage. I will continue to do business with this shop and have full confidence in the work!
My mom & I used to ho to a Garage in Cicero then we switched to Scotty's. Alot more cheaper, work that is being done is more accurate, it's not about the name,it's about customer satisfaction, the test drive first to see if they notice the same issue you had, then resolve the problem, test drive again, now perfect. They write on the Svce Ticket exactly what the problem was & how it was resolved. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. Small town Garage with BIG SERVICE PROVIDER.
These owners and employees are all very professional, caring and kind. Brought my car in for new tires and a noise which I was told was coming from my front brakes. When I came back in to pick up my car the gentleman had my old brakes on the counter and took the time to show me the rust and the area that was rubbing which was causing the noise. I was very impressed that he had taken the extra time to show me what had caused my problems. This small gesture made me feel confident that my repairs were needed and what they did was safe and done right. But most of all is that they took the time to CARE! Thank you!!!
As always, my experience at Scotty’s was great. Everyone in my family takes their cars to Scotty’s because for many years we have found them to be honest and fair. They do their best to get us in and out quickly and we have never had a problem with their work.
Another great visit. The engine light came on in my car so I called Scotty's. On the way over to Scotty's the light did not come on and they drove it around for a while and couldn't get the light to come on. No charge.
I haven't had an issue with this place at all. Be sure to call ahead. I feel like I can trust them and every cost had been completely reasonable so far.
Edit: They have a new digital program that emails or texts you a detailed inspection report with pictures of the parts of your car inspected if there's a problems or part that should be replaced soon. It was really useful to see and understand why I should think about fixing or replacing parts that were showing signs of wear.
Was looking for someone I could trust, and rely on to work on my vehicle. It was a big job that would have taken me a long time to finish with work. Brought it in, was called and updated daily, and to my surprise it ended up not being a head gasket like I had originally thought. They put their customers needs above everything else and don't try to sell you on anything. I won't bring my car any where else after today.
Two of my daughters have taken vehicles to this repair shop and both were dealt with very fairly and couteously. I know the work they've done was done in a professional manner. They are extremely nice people to deal with. Recommend them highly.
Worst shop around. Very unprofessional. My friend who is a female and does not know anything about cars brought her first Jeep that broke down here and they told her it needed thousands of dollars in repairs to run again. She then sold this Jeep very cheap because she didn't have money to fix it, and it was fixed by the buyer and running perfectly after a 100 dollar repair.. She then brought her second Jeep there after it was showing some lights on the dashboard, again they told her she needed a new alternator among other things. I know enough that her alternator is fine so I brought it to get checked at Auto Zone and it is in tip top condition. They were very rude on the phone when I told them politely I was going to have it checked out some place else. Then in person when getting the keys inside of the office the woman behind the desk was extremely rude rotten and mean. She clearly knew she wasn't going to be able to cheat my friend out of her hard earned money and threw a fit. She even had the nerve to yell at me when I walked out after telling her to have a great day that it will be my fault when he car breaks down on the side of the road.
We've been taking our cars to Scotty's for years now, and have never had anything but great experiences with them. Beth in the front office is friendly and professional; Tom and the guys in the garage take very good care of our cars. I highly recommend Scotty's Automotive to anyone needing their car worked on.
This is my new car-repair place of choice. I will find as many places as possible to give them positive reviews! I drive a Nissan Sentra SER - I love my car, but repairs are always pricey. I went in expecting to pay several hundred dollars for a special order part, but they found a way to work around it, and I spent less than $150. And they were super nice on top of having excellent work, and my car sounds great! I highly recommend them!
