Was a bit skeptical buying from Capital due to the reviews, but decided to give them a try because they had the engine I was looking for, and the best price for the mileage/condition. I’m really glad I did buy from them. Delivery was quick, physical condition of the engine was great, and after installing-engine sounds great and runs awesome! Thanks so much!
Remarkably unpleasant and needlessly combative. Called with a straightforward question and was met with the kind of tone you’d expect from someone having a personal crisis, not running a business. Hung up on twice — clearly not equipped for even the most basic level of professionalism. Wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy being spoken to like an inconvenience.
don’t waste your time calling this place. It’s not worth it especially if you don’t wanna ruin your own day don’t do it. Just call somebody else or look somewhere else.
Brought a transmission from them was a bad transmission asked for a refund they said they would replace it they still haven’t replaced it keep giving me the run around they told me their products are good but obviously they aren’t don’t even waste your time I wish I would have read the reviews on here and better business bureau
was sold and an engine for an Infiniti M56 that they claimed to be low mileage and tested. After installing the engine and trying to start it up my technician informed me that the engine was locked up and the spark plugs were covered in coolant when they were removed. How was this engine tested? How does this engine have 29,000 miles as it states on the invoice? We were promised an engine to be delivered as a replacement. That delivery was scheduled for 4/24/25. Never received it, called them, they stated that it needed to be ordered and then it can be shipped to me. Why not just ship us the order directly from whoever your company is ordering it from? When I originally called to complain about the faulty engine which was on Saturday 4/19/25, I was told that the engine could be locked up from sitting and to pour BRAKE FLUID down in to the cylinders and let it soak until Monday! Absolutely horrible experience.
I called early today at 8am to get an engine for my G37x stated online it has 64,000 miles with a 6 month warranty, not sure who I spoke with on the phone but they were fast and efficient, guy on the phone wasn’t rude or trying to dismiss me & offered a fast delivery time frame, aside from all these reviews that I am seeing, I can say that they seem to be good people and hopefully I can say the same after I install my engine! Thanks for all the help guys it’s really appreciated. Everyone deserves a chance so I decided to try it out for myself. Delivery time was ASAP and was notified with an ETA from driver I am very pleased! Engine looks great, and Paul and his guys made sure I got what I needed and contacted me after delivering the engine, I will be using them again!

SO THE ENGINE WAS INSTALLED 1 YEAR AFTER PURCHASE AND WARRANTY WAS UP BUT IM GLAD I WENT WITH MY GUT IN GIVING THIS PLACE AND THEIR GUYS A CHANCE AND ITS AMAZING IVE HAD NO ISSUES AT ALL IVE PUT 5K MILES ON IT BESIDES SPARK PLUGS AND COILS EVERYTHING IS 100 PERCENT THESE GUYS TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF ME WITH AN ORIGINAL 67,000 MILE ENGINE, THANK YOU PAUL AND YOUR TEAM!!!
Did their best to get me correct transmission. stood by their word when received transmission was incorrect and did not have correct part. Stand up guys!
Long story short I bought a Honda transmission for $400 from these people and they sent me 5 transmission because each one they sent was either faulty or some type of connecter was broken I asked for a refund for the first one within 30 days and they said no and just kept insisting he just replaced it after the 3rd trans I called and spoke to a manager and told me he’ll issue a refund just take the trans out I said ok got it out called him the next day and he started being aggressive and blaming my mechanic as if we didn't just agree he’ll issue a refund so he sent ANOTHER ONE. Tried it and of course no good so I went ahead bought another trans from a different place gave it to the same mechanic and for once got a working transmission and it’s been fine since called these guys again and they said of course no refund I even explained the situation and they put me on hold for 10 min just for them to hang up called again and said we’ll send another one they sent another one in even worse conditions from the previous trans they sent every single connector is broken and for some reason they shoved wood in the dip stick tube I can’t even sell this thing for half the price so much for a short story but. I’m down 400$ and with everything going on every penny counts I will be going to small claims court. very upset that this is how they’re doing business it’s unfair to the people who don’t have the money to just have it taken away from them
Please stay away from this place, I got sent 2 350z engines that were not in good condition at all. I spent 3000$ on labor for no reason. The first one came with a knock and the second one won’t even crank up. Also they take so long to send an engine. I got told that I will get my money back for the engine 2-3 weeks ago, and now I called them again and they tell me a complete different story. Worst place to get engines from!!!!!
Horrible experience. We deal with salvage yards and parts suppliers everyday. Never have we worked with a company like this. We ordered a transmission from them, they had it mismarked as the wrong year. Unfortunately the only difference between the one they sent us and the one we needed was the gear ratio. After installing it in the customers vehicle and having problems we researched the VIN number it came out of figured out the differences and problems. We had to re-do the job, buy another transmission, and replace the rear differential due to having been run that way. We did all of this out of our own pocket because we stand behind our work and products for our customers. We can't say the same for them. When we first called they were helpful and said to get is ready and they would give us a credit and pick up the transmission. This NEVER happened. We have called over 100 times... usually they just hang up, sometimes put you on hold for hours. Finally, someone agrees to give us a credit instead. For some reason every time we have tried to use it they suddenly no longer have the part we need. After two years of trying we tried one last time. We called on another transmission they have listed on their website. When he found out we wanted to use our credit suddenly that transmission was no longer available. But he has another one he could get us for double the price of the listed one on their website, oh and they would only give us half the money for the incorrect transmission previously. So the difference would have us paying $300 more than the listed transmission after applying our credit. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN.
This is a tough business to be in, but we are lucky Salvage operations exist so those of us on a budget can keep going. Everyone there is working hard all day. I dealt primarily with Paulie and he made sure my transmission was correct and in good working order. They stand behind their parts and fix any problems. This is a great business with great people. I would highly recommend them for your next used part! I would give them 10 stars if it were an option

This place is one of the worst scrap yards I’ve ever worked with and this is coming from a person who works in one. I order a H3 engine with 6 months warranty for $2,000. We put the engine in and it makes a rattling sound. I’ve called over 10 times within a 3 month period to try and resolve it and get a new one as my warranty is under 6 months to no avail. They have still not sent a new one and have been lied to multiple times stating it’s coming next week. Told me they would called me back to inform about what’s going on and yet it’s been 3 months. The warranty is about to be up and yet they still haven’t sent anything. I wish I read the reviews before purchasing it. If I could give them a 0 I would. Stay far away from these scammers.
What a bunch of a holes at this place don't buy here. bunch of liars told me they were sending motor. And never showed they are so rude on the phone. They will tell you they have the part. And try to locate for the sale. You will be sorry if you buy here
Very unprofessional. Customer service 0. Would never be going back there. Called and got hung up on with a quickness. This was the answer : “we don’t have it in store bye” and literally hung up.
A business to a business it is not safe to say something bad about another business but whoever owns this organization needs to tighten up on customer service!
I’ve purchased over 70 engines since the starting of this year I export engines to various countries and companies internationally and locally. However I’ve never had a problem dealing with other used parts company I’ve never. And it is strange because every time I called this company about a issue the person that answer the phone always being disrespectful always being nonchalant always being aggressive and never stand on business and now I understand why you guys like to do cash payments because you guys are very unprofessional.
I’ve been a state trooper for years and let me tell you guys something please be more vigilant about your business and FYI if this matter doesn’t sorted out the correct way we will have a big issue to deal with and also I will be reporting to businesses organization ( NY portal ) and IRS.

Really stand up guys. Had to get a used transmission for my 2013 Kia and they came through big time. Transmission was low mileage and the customer service was great. I’d go back in a heartbeat

Management is all over the place, I should have read the reviews before going down this experience of just hands down horrible operations and customer service.
Will revisit this review, if they part that was ordered 2 months ago gets switched out due to failure in the first place.

Was assured they had a specific, low mileage transmission. Called several times over the course of a week; was always met with "let me pull it up and call you right back." After a full week, I called them one final time to ask what the deal is; the guy said "oh, yeah, we couldn't find it" and hung up.
I called them on Thursday to see if the would pick up my car for Salvage. The gave me a price and I asked if I had to make an apt for Saturday and he said no just call in the morning. I call Saturday morning and he has me waiting 3 hours. I call back and he says I’m on the list and this is normal. I call bank again at 2:30 and they won’t pick up the phone. They left me stranded in a parking lot all day on my day off.
Purchased a low mileage engine that unfortunately failed shortly after install. Paying to replace an engine twice sucks but these guys were extremely quick to find me a replacement engine for the Hyundai Veracruz we are working on and i highly appreciate the efficiency and speed they worked with as i called friday about the 6 month warranty and ha an engine monday! thank you guys! They helped make a tough situation easier by standing behind their business, and making sure to take care of me and address my concerns. Thank you again!
I diddnt check the reviews 1st biggest mistake i made. Because everybody is exactly right. I purchased a motor with 70k miles out of a lexus is250. Been nothing but hell since the day it arrived 3 weeks ago. 1st the motor came on nothing they just slid it on the oil pan. No tire, no pallet, no nothing just a makeshift seatbelt wrapped around the headers to lift it. The dude who dropped it off slid it on my driveway. Motor has 2 big holes in the valve cover. I can see a RUSTED CAM inside through the hole (pictures included) i called. They said they would swap it out. Every day its been another excuse *truck broke down* *dont have a liftgate* *guy isnt in* until the point i said i wanted a refund to pick the motor up. Now they already ordered the new motor. I get the run around everytime i call. I will not take another motor pick this up and give me a refund i get put on hold everytime i call now and it hangsup after 10minutes im not dealing with them i disputed the transaction on my card. Stay away!!! I have had such a headache i sold the car as it was with the blown motor instead of replacing it.
If you read our review before, you know that we had a small issue with this company about timeliness, but we're now changing our review. I actually make them our first call for major parts if those parts are not available locally. I didn't like them at first, but dealing with straight up people that don't have time for small talk is cool with me if you deliver the way they did. Ordered an engine from them was 1900 with shipping. Was supposed to be 80k with a 6 month warranty. When it arrived had it strapped to a pallet with seatbelts, it had a hole in the oil pan and there’s no compression. I called and have been getting the run around ever since from these guys won’t give me my money back and keeps claiming they finding another engine to send me. They are rude, don’t return calls like they say. Don’t seem to care to even rectify the situation just rush you off the phone
Don’t waste your time and money. This place is a scam. They will give you 6 months warranty on a transmission but wouldn’t honor it and don’t honor their word. Transmission failed right after installation and I was told to go kick rocks after weeks of back and forth on calls and hours on hold. James is a lier and a cheat. Save your money and go to someone trustworthy.
