Ruben (Fifth Ave and 44th—desk area) was excellent when I just visited looking for a hotspot, and kinda already frustrated. He was very patient in explaining how it works and he helped me to set it up right there—which was great. His being so kind helped restore my faith in humanity (and I told him that, too)!

The store has a wide selection of electronics and household items, and the location is convenient in Midtown. Staff were friendly, but the service felt a bit rushed and it took some time to find someone who could really help with technical questions. Prices are okay, but not always the best compared to other options in the city or online. Overall, a decent place for quick purchases, but not perfect if you need detailed advice or the absolute best deals.

The sale associates are lazy and not willing to do their work. I came in from Queens to buy DJI camera gimbal stabilizer and the website clearly said it had 2 available and also available to pickup in 1 hour. The sales associates on the second floor didn't attempt to look for it and just said out of stock. They never checked in RSS system to verify inventory. Message to CEO Please hire people who willing to do their jobs and this is why Best Buy is declining in sales.

Really good value on products,but my god your colleagues aren't the best. As someone who works in retail,I know it's hard,but this was one of the worst places I seen for service in New York. Colleagues where not interested and made me feel as if I was in the way. Considering I knew what I wanted and just needed to pay for it, I had the feeling I was in the colleagues way

I can't say enough positive things about KAMEISHA a digital imaging specialist at this particular branch of BEST BUY . She absolutely made my day . I have been a loyal client for years but I was never treated as well as today. KAMEISHA was ready to solve my problem and provided me with assistance right away !! She listened attentively to my concerns and resolved my issue efficiently. She is a very knowledgeable, professional and kind assistant !! Thanks so much !!

I bought Bose headphones and the noise cancelling doesn’t work. The store didn’t take my name, phone number, or any contact details. After returning to my country, I realized it wasn’t an issue with the ear cushions as I first thought—the unit is defective. They refuse to offer a solution because I can’t find the tiny paper receipt they say they gave me, and they never emailed one. Terrible service and zero consideration for the customer.

Terrible experience with Best Buy customer service. I went in to fix my membership cancelation problem (within the 60-day policy), but the staff didn’t even know the correct policy and told me it was 30 days. The manager was rude and unhelpful, just kept repeating the same thing without trying to assist. Other employees stood around listening with no privacy, and when I left, they laughed and made jokes about me. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. They’re friendly when selling you the membership but disappear when you need real help. Would not recommend!

I've shopped at Best Buy a few times, both online and in-store. They've got a massive range of tech stuff — laptops, TVs, phones, accessories — pretty much anything tech-related. Lots of items are in stock and the prices are pretty competitive. The good points: There's a wide selection of electronics, and the product info and comparison tools are really good. Geek Squad is great for tech support and installations. The staff in-store are usually friendly and know their stuff. The My Best Buy rewards programme gives you points and access to special deals. Cons: The usual 15-day return policy only applies to regular customers — unless you pay for a membership plan (Best Buy Plus or Total) to get longer to return items. I had a delayed order that was marked "in stock" but shipped 4 days late without any warning. I bought a laptop that was open-box and it didn't come with some essential parts (like the power cable and manual), and I wasn't told this before I bought it. Customer service on the phone can be slow and often not much help, especially when you're trying to sort out an order.

A must visit whenever in the US. I went to check the Garmin, they didn't have a lot of options but the Oura ring section was nicely kept. There were videos running around the use cases for the ring. I wish they had more bundles of the Nintendo. My friend ended up buying the Remarkable from here. Overall pretty good place for tech lovers.

Incredible customer service here. Louisa was amazing at helping me get a new screensaver after buying one for my new iPhone yesterday all while juggling 2 other clients and working bilingually. Absolutely lifesaver - will be coming back to this Best Buy only!

Have you ever been to a four-story best buy? Well we have now. It's everything that you would imagine a Best buy to be. Price is right though due to the tariffs. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and they have plenty of stock.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from the Geek Squad team at one of your locations. As a customer who lacks technical computer knowledge, I approached Geek Squad in good faith, seeking professional assistance for a laptop that would no longer boot due to an apparent hard drive issue. Unfortunately, my experience was not only unhelpful but frustrating and discouraging. I initially requested a diagnosis to understand the root of the problem. Several days later, I was informed that my laptop required something called a "BitLocker key," which was not explained to me clearly. When I returned to the store and asked whether it was possible to remove or replace the hard drive so I could at least restore basic functionality to the device, I was met with repeated statements such as, "That's not what you told us to do," instead of practical guidance or support. I also asked how much it would cost to proceed with the service of removing the drive or restoring the system. Again, I was given no clear answer or estimate—only the same unhelpful response. Eventually, the staff member I was speaking with turned away, walked into the back room, and did not return. As a customer seeking professional support, I expected a service flow that included: A clear diagnosis of the issue A breakdown of available options A written cost estimate for repair or recovery services Unfortunately, none of these basic expectations were met. I was left feeling ignored, disrespected, and completely unsupported. This experience raises serious concerns about the training, accountability, and customer service standards within the Geek Squad team. I respectfully request that Best Buy and Geek Squad review this matter and take appropriate steps to address the issues I encountered. Customers turn to your services expecting expert advice and transparency—not to be left confused and helpless.

The 5th Avenue store is a great Best Buy location with a total of 4 floors containing a wide selection of technology and home appliances. The staff are friendly and each floor feels clean and well organised. The store does not feel crowded and there are also customer restrooms on the lower level which are mostly clean and well maintained. Not significantly different from other Best Buy locations in the city.

I had an amazing experience in this Best Buy location. They had the color of the product I wanted which I slightly thought they wouldn’t have it on stock. They also had great discounts for the product I wanted. Polite and helpful staff, fast service, clean place, and great location right near Times Square in New York City. Overall, it’s a great Best Buy location in an exceptional location.

My coworker wants a PlayStation five Dragon Ball Z sparking zero video game. I went to this Best Buy showed the attendant at the register the picture the system was slow to reload and after five minutes she said that they don’t have the game in store. What’s hilarious is that it’s been over five years since I even entered a Best Buy and to be honest, it feels like a lost in time era and I will definitely never be going back there again

Nice shop and most of the staff are nice. I however just ordered some stuff online and picked it up at the lockers. However I tried to find some cover for my nem tablet and nobody could help me. I just ordered it online and picked it up 3 days later.

best buy always best place and best price to get what we need... after i knew "BEST BUY" always and always i go to best buy to get what i need, and this is my three times to get something in best buy... . best buy RECOMMENDED note= just some staff needs to be more polite when we ask for something (the way how talk even body language) we can understand those staff like/ don't like to be explain with us. I'm really appreciate with hosts ( man standing in podium) he's really help.

Best Buy is one of the Best store for electronic gadget. The store is very well stocked, the associates are readily available yet not overbearing, and all on-display goods seem to be well tended to and maintained in order. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. They are selling almost all types of electronic. Like Radio, Laptop, TV, camera, phones, games, bulb, fan, DVD, etc. I recommend this place

Made a quick visit to this store. Got 3 battery cover charges with a 25% discount. It’s a fantastic store for all your electronic gadgets and accessories- however the service sucks and the staff are kinda not friendly.
