Gabe!!!!! An employee at the store was absolutely helpful. While other employees gave up on helping me figure out my problem with a broken phone. Gabe stepped up and went above and beyond to help. I hope Gabe see this review and makes his day better thanks bro ur the best…

I came to this Google Store last week because I got a new phone and my Google One Backup was not working. I appreciated that there was a physical storefront where I could ask for in-person support, as my phone carrier refused to help and there were no good solutions online. Gabriella was assigned to me and was excellent. She spent a very long time trying to help me, thinking of every possible solution. She was kind, patient, and informative. She even brought in her manager Valerie for additional support. While the issue did not get fully resolved, I appreciated the time and care that was given to me at this location.

This was my second visit to the Google store in Chelsea. I dealt with a woman named Valerie who like much expected, was amazing, helpful and extremely easy to talk to. She gave me a brand new pixel watch. 3. Because mine was acting faulty and was still under warranty. There was never any feeling of wrongdoing or shady behavior like you get treated in other manufacturer stores. The place is beautiful and the people that work there are even more beautiful. Valerie was an amazing person to deal with and if you have Google products and are in proximity to the store go there. The experience is definitely worth the travel time. Thank you Google for having a magnificent product and a magnificent staff

I had a very positive experience at the Google store, last Thursday in Chelsea. I came in to have my screen repaired. Steve, who helped me, was very patient and helpful. The appointment took 15 minutes (maybe 5 if I had remembered any of my passwords lol) . My phone was done in about 2 hours, pick up went smoothly, outstanding service, thank you Steven

Thanks F Jorela .
This place is amazing for the good treatment you receive and everything is very fluid and fast. I was attended by an amazing, very efficient girl named F JORELA. Thank you, if it weren't for your help, I wouldn't have been able to complete the purchase. And the celphone Google Pixel 10 Pro XL He makes amazing photos and very good performance with my happy son.Jan 08, 2026 -

Unfortunately, I can only leave one review, although one is for 5 stars and one is 0 stars.
Review 1 of 2
5 stars go to Gabriella exclusively. My phone was stolen the night before I visited the store, and she was the only one who was genuinely interested in helping me, even though she didn't know whether I was going to purchase a new phone. I had every intention to but quickly learned that I couldn't unless I switched providers (currently Google Fi). She tried everything to recover my account. I had 2FA enabled,, which created a gridlock for me, disabling me from making ANY changes to my account, phone, and Google Fi plan. Not even able to transfer service to a new phone or access data, contacts, etc. She called customer service and chatted with online support. All while keeping her cool and being kind. If you need anything tech-related, she is your go-to. Sadly, and not to her fault, I left without a phone because no one could verify my identity without access to the stolen phone. Ironic. But Gabriella deserves all the customer service medals! Thanks for your patience!
Review 2 of 2
0 stars go to Google Fi. I used to be an avid Google advocate, but the circumstances changed my outlook. Because 2FA was enabled on my Google Pixel, I was unable to transfer my Fi service to a new phone, effectively preventing me from transferring data, photos, and contacts to a new phone. After 2 hours of contacting customer service and online support, no one was able to verify my identity, allowing me to transfer my phone plan to a new phone and purchase a new one. I was left without a phone, no phone service, and no access to my contacts. 2FA means that my phone needs to be present to receive a verification code when logging into my Gmail, trying to make any changes. Sadly, that does not work when the phone is stolen. I have no words for the lack of regard. If this were Apple, I would have left with a new phone and functioning phone service. The best part was when I was told that the only way to get service, my data, and a phone is to switch to another provider like Verizon. CRAZY! Google, this is crazy. And on top of that, Google Fi does not work with Google Store devices, even though they both use the word 'Google'. Super misleading to the clients.
Now I'm stuck at the airport without a phone, a plan, and no idea of the next steps. After all, if I wanted to cancel my Fi service, I would also need 2FA verification, which is impossible. Do better Google. Especially when someone is in an extraordinary situation. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who ever lost their phone.Dec 19, 2025 -
I made an appointment to get my phone fixed. The appointment was at the first slot of the day, at opening time. I was received as soon as the store opened, but even though I waited in the store, there was no communication with me regarding the progress of the repair, I had to keep asking if the phone was fixed, and if it wasn't, they were kind of exasperated by it, telling me that I am going to get an email when it is complete, but they had my phone and I had no way to checking my email. I had made that clear to the staff when I first gave them my phone, but they simply insisted that I'm going to get an email when the phone is fixed. They weren't rude, but it felt like I was talking to AI.

The overall experience at the store was good the 3 times I have visited in the last 12 months:
1. The first time was for fixing the green line on the pixel 8 screen, which they took only an hour or so to fix, dramatically exceeding my expectations.
2. The second was for getting a new pixel 10 with trade-in of the pixel 8, which was also a good experience.
3. The third time was, unfortunately, 24 hours after I got the pixel 10: the phone started crash looping and became unusable within 12 hours after purchase, so I brought it back in for recovery so that I could get some data off before I returned the phone. The staff tried all kinds of safe and recovery modes and even took the phone to the back room to try to force a software update, that made it even worse. This was the worst google device experience I have had in my almost 10 years using google phones starting with the nexus, so bad that I decided to return the phone and… switch to an iPhone conveniently the Apple Store was just across the street.
The store staff, I wanna emphasize, was all professional and sympathetic and apologetic throughout, and providing what I considered good service throughout, so think a 4 ⭐ is appropriate.Dec 14, 2025 -
I owe my life to Jake! I was locked out of my account due to a hacking situation and I couldn't get into my email all week due to a bug in the 2FA process. As soon as I walked into the store, I was informed that they couldn't do much but escalate my issue. I happily agreed. Jake took his time to understand my situation and we walked down the process together for a few minutes. After he submitted the claim, he sent a code to my phone to check the verification on his side and we tried to sign in together. AND IT WORKED! My whole life's work was in that email!! I am so so so grateful and thankful that he did everything he could. Starting from his sincere care about my issue. THANK YOU JAKE!!!

A Disappointing First Visit to the Google Store: A Google Lover's Story
As a dedicated Google lover and an Android developer for over 10 years, visiting a physical Google Store was a major highlight on my travel itinerary. I arrived super excited, genuinely thrilled to finally experience the brand I've worked with for a decade in its physical space.
However, the experience I had was nothing short of humiliating and deeply frustrating.
When I asked a sales associate for a case for my new Pixel 9 (a phone I've been eagerly waiting for), they served me without making eye contact and made zero effort to actually assist with my request. It felt like I was an inconvenience, not a valued customer at allDec 03, 2025 -
Great experience, good service and amazing products we don't have in Mexico available to see them first and decide you want them

Went to pick up my Pixel 10 here yesterday. The process of ordering a device online and then picking it up was pretty seamless. The staff at the Google store were very nice and were attentive to every customer that was present in the store. I was looking for some of the newer snap accessories but didn't see them. Will def be back in seven years! Fingers crossed Pixel 10 lasts as long as the updates were guaranteed to come

What a cool place! Had some charging issues and they were so happy to help, even bringing out the heavy blower at the end after getting literally a pile of lint out. Plus their lounge area is very cozy and even has hidden charger ports on the floor. Would definitely come back when looking to buy my next phone!

While traveling for business, the rear camera on my Pixel died. I figured why not pop in and see if they could help. I was just expecting an RMA, and a swapout, if I was lucky (I knew it was a hardware issue). Nope. Jake, the tech. there, was awesome. Nice guy, personable, and treated me well. Checked they had the parts in stock, and had the entire camera module replaced in just a couple of hours. No charge, as under warranty.
I'm super happy. Thanks, Google Store Chelsea, but specifically, thanks Jake!Nov 02, 2025 -
Hey! I just got a phone case for my new Pixel 10 Pro. The store is so well organized and looks great! They have everything from phones and accessories to Nest products. They even sell Google merch, which makes you wish you worked for Google.

They are good about helping you to better set up your phone and other issues not on warranty. It seems that they got rid of a salesman that made you feel uneasy if you didn't take an upsell. I'm sure the crowd they have didn't go for it. Overall good job by the technicians there.

I stumbled across the Google store in Chelsea New York so I decided to go in and take a look. It looked cool. The staff were welcoming and nice. The rooms they had there were unlike any experience I’ve ever had going into a retail store. Very nice. Most of my experience was pleasant but not everything. I started feeling rather warm. I also noticed that some of the guest and even the workers were fanning themselves with something. I even saw some people sweating and the backs of their shirts wet. It’s horrible. How is that a company worth trillions of dollars not have air conditioning in their store? I bet they have it in their offices. It looked like the workers in their stores were the bottom class while the ones in the offices get to enjoy a better experience. I was hot just being in there. That’s was an uncomfortable experience for me. I was just at the Apple Store and they had air conditioning. I noticed some of their workers were wearing shorts. At least they seemed comfortable. Everyone at the Google store were wearing long pants. Imagine that in the heat. Imagine that in th summer. It’s not my place to say what they wear but it must be uncomfortable working in that condition. I hope it was just a one day thing where maybe th machine broke or something. The staff was great but the store experience itself was unpleasant and Google should treat their store employees better.

I just went today and had the best customer service by one of their staff members named Gabby. They were able to walk me through the whole process of fixing my Pixel 9 fold and explain what issues might be affecting my outer screen and battery issues, mostly likely the cable in between the hinges. They gave me an estimate on how long it would take to repair and it was accurate. And they allowed me to use their wifi (super fast) so I could still work using my laptop. Again 10 out of 10 customer service, Gabby you are the best and all the others that helped out!

I visited the store to fix the issue in transferring Whatsapp data from iPhone to Pixel 10 pro. I worked with Jake & Andre. They were very polite and patient in helping me out to figure out the issue. All though the data was not transferred completely since they also didn't know what exactly the issue but they were kind enough to sit through and try setting it up for me. Overall the flagship store is so cool with all the new products to get hands on. Better signage and instructions would take them a long way.

It’s nice that there’s now a pickup location for Google products in the city, similar to their main rival. You can play with all of the newest devices and ask questions of staff

I wish I lived near a Google retail store. Than I could take my Pixel 7 Pro I bought directly from Google to the store, and show them how bad the battery swelling is.
I could talk to them about my support case I opened with Google, where they disabled the Play store on my phone after they saw the photos of it.
And then stopped talking to me, lying about how I wasn't using the right e-mail address.
Google's already dealing with major battery issues on the Pixel 6a so I guess they are trying to bury it. We'll see how long this review stays up!
P.S. Google, I've screenshotted everything, I have the bad phone and you are really not putting yourselves in a good position here.Jul 29, 2025 -
Took in my pixel 9 for a cracked screen repair. Made an appointment online and got there a bit too early but they still took us!! Staff was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions. We were told the repair would take 2-3 hrs but was done in 1.5!!! Communication was all done electronically (no text or phone calls) but worked efficiently

This store is located right across from the Chelsea market in Manhattan. With so many other attractions in the vicinity I couldn’t miss this one.
This was my first time at a Google store and I got surprised by the cool design and store layout, as well as all the different Google merchandise that was available, the shelves, etc.
It’s nice to see a an alternative to Apple stores. All in all, I like it a lot and I wish Google opens more stores somewhere else.Jul 24, 2025 -

First time coming I to a Google store. So happy to stop by right before the Chelsea Market. The staff was absolutely friendly and very informative. They have experience rooms for a few of their products. I would recommend checking it out!

Great Google Store for repairing your Pixel phone. Very spacious and ability to tryout the next Pixel lineup. They will greet you and asked about the issue with your Pixel phone or tablet.

It was one of the best moments to visit the first google store. I have been a Google fan since the first Android phone G1 and G2 and I had all pixel phones except pixel 5.
I collect Google products as well including the Google debit card they introduced a while ago and stopped it in 2014.
I'm a pixel super fan memberMar 03, 2024 -
We were previously at this store last year and had a wonderful experience, and I can happily say this year was no different! New phone, Watch, and tablet from Google, but same great team of staff at Google Store Chelsea! It was a very interesting experience this year, one of the associates discussed how they’re a user of both phones the Pixel and iPhone but explained how they use their Pixel 7a for their various vacation photos and the Magic Eraser to get rid of noise in their background. Meanwhile another associate was able to recognize us from our trip to the store last year, which was our first visit to the store.
