I had no idea this was here! It is an open-space store, just up the stairs, easy to miss if you are not looking. Anyways saw some of the newest products here and liked them.

This is a fantastic Apple Store. I worked with Alex, Ian, and I did not get her name but a young lady with big beautiful curly hair when I went to the store. Everyone was very very nice and accommodating. They were doing all that they could to help me resolve my phone issues before they closed for the night, which I really appreciated. It’s nice to come across so many lovely people that were willing to help despite working in a hectic store filled with tourists. I would highly recommend this Apple Store if you are passing through GCT!

Bad support experience. I have an iPhone 14pro. the battery was not lasting as long as it should so i took it in for a replacement. While there was a minor black spot in the lower left of my screen, i made sure to point it out to the engineer and said i didn't care i didn't want to spend $325 for the new screen, I only wanted the battery.
of course when i came to pick it up they had replaced the screen and wanted $425 for the overall repair. No proof that the screen got worse or was unusable, just "i should trust that the technicians do what's best for the customer" meanwhile I don't.
I specifically asked for photos and proof if the screen needed to be replaced, and when i came to pick it up there were none. I asked for the part at cost instead of retail since it was an unwanted repair, they were unwilling to accommodate. I left the phone and will buy new.
Verry disappointing that Apple would spend an additional $325 of my money on a costly repair / part I did not want without so much as a phone call, or taking pictures to prove it was needed. Trade in value of the phone is $280 is beyond belief that they would think i would want to spend $425 on a repair to prolong its life.
Not sure what happens to the phone now if I just go buy a new one, i know I wont be removing it from my find my so do they wipe it from my account and resell it?
Apple should be more reasonable and work with me here to a resolution that is fair for everyone.Feb 02, 2026 -

Stores ive ever been to definitely visit if your in Grand centralFeb 01, 2026 -
Do NOT go to this apple location! I went and had to leave the store. It was painfully cold I couldn’t be in there for more than a few minutes. What kind of establishment does this to their customers?!? I’m dressed for the weather what is going on?

Phenomenal customer service! The person that just helped me was so efficient and kind. Even asked me if my company offered a discount (I had no idea they did) and looked it up to check for me, which they did - a nice bonus. I wish I got her name and could have dropped her name in the review!

The genius tech was great .. I originally may the appt to purchase the right side AirPods Pro piece … but the tech ask question about overall sound of the equipment too .. decided to check the noice cancellation fixture that was not working prior to the appt … I purchase the lost piece air pod, but got thru the almost expired the replacement of the left one !!! Free !! And got configuration on the new set !!! So my point is when going to Apple genius appt.. ask question be honest about the problem, even if it’s not the original reason for the appt.

We went to one of Apple’s free classes on using Procreate and Freeform. The person who taught us—Jarvis—was amazing. He was clear, patient, and encouraging. My daughter and I had the best time and feel super inspired to create. Strong recommend.

I ran into the Apple Store to grab my new iPhone before hopping onto an early flight. The experience was super efficient and seamless. I highly recommend.

What an amazing experience at the Apple Store in NYC’s Grand Central Station!
We came in “just to look”… and two hours later our son walked out with his brand-new iPhone and the biggest smile ever.
A huge thank you to Brad, who made this moment truly special. Brad was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. He answered every single question with a smile, explained everything in a way our son could understand, and turned what could have been a simple purchase into a memorable experience.
You could really feel that Brad enjoys what he does - no rush, no pressure, just great energy and true customer care. He didn’t just help us choose a phone; he made one boy extremely happy, and that means everything to parents.
Thank you, Brad, for going the extra mile. This is exactly what customer experience should look like.Dec 25, 2025 -

Where do I begin? I brought my phone in for repair here and it was a disaster. My phone shutdown on me after less than a year having it. I have Apple Care+ and was still under warranty for my iPhone 16 plus. It was supposed to be sent to my home in 3-5 business days. Why wasn’t I just sent a new phone? If that’s not possible, why did it take the full 5 days? Why was I sent a misleading email telling me to pick it up just for the store to tell me they didn’t have it yet? I was told they didn’t have a loaner phone available either. Thankfully I dug up my old iPhone 12, but I don’t a whole weekend without a functioning phone and another week with my 12. How does one of the two NYC locations not have a loaner phone available? The manager, Curtis, spent two hours helping me unlock my old phone so there would be data and service on it. Curtis, thank you for your time and your help.
When I went in for pickup, the other manager, Melissa, was the one there. I’ll preface this by saying she gave me a free Apple Pencil for my new iPad, but for being without my phone for a week, that simply didn’t feel like enough after the series of errors that occurred on their end. I had a senior customer service supervisor on the phone to speak to Melissa about the issues I faced and the she kept walking away from the conversation and ignoring the call. The supervisor had to ask me if the manager was even listening to her, that’s how noticeable and rude that was. I get being busy and having to do lot at once, but you have to be able to stay in one conversation with one customer for a couple minutes. Instead, I felt like she wasn’t listening to me or the supervisor, which I found to be kind of rude.
The iPad I bought was given to me at 30%, battery and my phone came back at 20%. In what world does that make any sense? Why not charge it before sending it back? Then the person that handed it to me and said she would help me set it up and make sure I was all good just walked away and never came back.
I can’t even begin to count the number of people who mishandled this situation and the number of people that had to clean up the mess. I appreciate the people that took the time to help me. While I also appreciate the freebie, I feel that this store is very poorly managed. For the Apple Store in GRAND CENTRAL NYC, it is very disorganized. This place is an absolute disaster and I will never come back to this store.Nov 12, 2025 -
My daughter lost her phone and needed to get her a replacement. We were going to attend a Broadway show and stopped at our phone carrier to get a replacement phone. They didn't have the memory capacity that my daughter wanted in stock and the person suggested we get it at the apple store. I was not aware that there was an apple store at Grand Central and decided to go. When we got there, we informed the salesperson that we were pressed for time and he was very understanding. My daughter knew exactly what she wanted and he was able to explain the payment options to her. We completed the transaction quickly and made it to our show on time.

This was a very frustrating experience. I had to just update my phone to a new phone. I arrived and was seated at a table. One person started to help but seemed frustrated that I had questions and was very rushed. For the next hour and a half, I sat as multiple employees would stop by, answer one question then as soon as my eyes moved to the screen of the phone they would walk away to talk to someone else. Then I had to wait for another 5-10 minutes for them to come back to help finish what was needed. Now I’ve been sitting for 15 mins for them to take the two recycled devices. Two of the employees have just been talking to each other. I had questions about additional purchases but at this point I just want to go home. Very disappointing.

Also had a Genius Bar appointment to fix my MacBook Pro. It’s taken way longer than expected, I was given a window of 4-5 business days and just received my computer after 2.5 weeks. Apple grand central does not pick up the phone when support tries to transfer you over. The Genius Bar representative told me he backed up my computer via iCloud which is apparently not a real thing. I lost a lot of valuable files. I’m currently livid.

Do not go to their Genius Bar. There no excuse for anyone to have to wait 30 mins past their appointment to be assisted. Staff walks around and no one will ask you any questions. I had a 5:25 appointment 5/18/25. I was seated, 30 mins later no one still had said a word to me, even after me asking if someone would be coming. Terrible service. Even worse if you’re busy and trying to keep a schedule.

What’s wrong with Apple stores right now?
The people used to be so friendly and helpful.
On Friday October 10th 2025 in the Grand Central store around 1:00 pm I had a horrible experience with this woman, the one that scheduled appointments for technical support. Yelled at me in front of other people because I wanted someone to help me pairing my Bowers and Wilkins headphones with my new cellphone. She said probably it’s a problem with my headphones. Quoting her “besides I’ve no idea what kind of headphones are those. I’ve never seen that brand name before “ absolutely ignorant about one of the best headphones in the market.
At the end I went to the part where they sell cellphones and a young man paired them in a sec. Probably I’ll get a Google phone next time. And move away from Apple completely. I got the iPhone 17 pro. It has all kind of issues.Oct 12, 2025 -

Apple Grand Central is my go to Apple StoreOct 06, 2025 -
I came here to pick up an online order since this was the only store that had the phone available. Honestly, I didn’t expect much because my experience at the Downtown Brooklyn location was very disappointing.
When I arrived, I was surprised to find the store upstairs inside Grand Central Terminal. From the moment I got there, the staff were very nice and helpful. I picked up my order with Patty (if I heard her name correctly) and she did an excellent job. She not only processed my order smoothly but also answered my questions with a helpful attitude and even suggested some good promotions for devices.
It’s refreshing to see that some Apple Stores have staff who truly care about customers. I definitely recommend this location for anyone shopping with Apple.Sep 25, 2025 -
I went to the Genius Bar to get 3 simple things fix. These three things are minor setting issues most likely, and would take no more than maybe 10 minutes to fix total, so stupidly I assumed a quick in and out. I waited for over an hour and no help. There were six employees gabbing to each other not working. After I took this photo it was 8 people. I would be angry waiting so long after my appointment if they were genuinely helping people, but they weren’t. After the 8th employee joined this and they started helping others I left angry. Going to a different location where the staff are professional. I’ve never had such horrible service at an Apple Store.

I came here in the hopes of getting my iPhone screen fixed. I was pretty pessimistic honestly, after poor experiences at both T-Mobile and Best Buy. That all changed once I was greeted by the manager Patrick. He was welcoming, kind and attentive…and also very funny. I had my phone being worked on in no time and was given, for the first time in a couple of days, some peace of mind. This was what every customer service experience should be like. I’ve never been the most loyal Apple customer, but after this experience, I’ve been converted!

This Apple Store is a blight on Grand Central Terminal. It takes up half the available balcony space in an area that is often bustling with admirers of the architecture, forcing people to walk through the store if they want a nice view of the main concourse, and completely blocking off the area after hours. This space should be public and open. Not only that, but they have two bright white Apple signs on the stairway that shine into the concourse and ruin the historic charm, even if you’re standing on the other side. This store needs to go.

I recently visited the Apple Store at Grand Central Terminal for a MacBook repair, and the service exceeded my expectations. The Genius Bar staff were professional and efficient, diagnosing and resolving the issue promptly. Despite the store’s busy atmosphere, the team ensured a smooth and hassle-free experience. The iconic location added to the overall positive impression. I highly recommend this store for any Apple-related concerns.

Lovely place for an Apple store. I think it will be good to have more signs inside the Grand Central station because I had to ask three people to show me how to find the store, especially when you are using trains like me. Overall experience was OK.
