If I could give more than 5 stars I would give them 100000 stars! They are amazing and they are honest they dont want to steal your money. Weve been going there for around 5 years and every time great we got our rotors replaced both rear and front just smooth like butter no shaking or rocking when we brake. Highly reccomend!!
Unsafe repairs, improper hardware reuse, and inflated labor charges
This review is for suspension work performed on my 2015 Jeep Cherokee.
The front axle nut on this vehicle is a single-use, torque-to-yield, crimped nut. Instead of replacing it, the shop reused the original nut and added new crimps to force it to hold. The nut was badly deformed as a result. Axle nut torque on this platform is critical to wheel bearing preload, and reusing single-use hardware is not acceptable practice. I later had to chisel the nut off, and the axle threads were partially damaged in the process.
One wheel hub supplied by the shop (charged around $200) failed in under 10,000 miles, which raises concerns about part quality and/or installation. I was originally told I had the “wrong” hub, which makes this even more questionable in hindsight.
During control arm installation, aluminum suspension components were struck with a hammer, leaving visible impact marks. Aluminum arms should not be handled this way, and seeing that level of force used on safety-critical parts was concerning.
The front bumper was also reinstalled using self-tapping screws instead of proper factory clips, which permanently damages mounting points and indicates shortcuts were taken.
I was told another control arm had only “a little play” and was safe to drive on. When I later removed it myself, the bushing was completely blown out and the arm essentially fell apart.
Finally, I was charged $760 for a single control arm, justified by bumper removal and over 2.5 hours of labor. After undoing damage from the prior work, I completed the same repair myself in about an hour and only had to partially remove the bumper.
Based on the workmanship, improper reuse of critical hardware, and labor charges, I would not trust this shop with suspension, steering, or other safety-related repairs.
I had worked in the car business for many years and I usually don't write reviews, but this place is one of the best, I bring mine and my wife's car here and wouldn't bring it anywhere else, fairly priced as well.
Have a Mercedes truck that had a very specialized issue with the suspension. My personal mechanic gave me some astronomical price, and IMO didn't know how to properly fix. Was referred to Steve at Joseph's. Knew issue precisely and did the job in two days for 1/3 of the price. Never been blown away by a car repair in my life. I live 25 miles away and that's the only place I will be taking my cars from now on.
Very reliable. Fixed my front bumper and the job done was perfect. They also are extremely transparent, and told me things I had no idea about my car before hand. Wouldn’t trust any other body shop from now on. Highly recommend A++
This place is the best in the business by a mile!! We have had some work done by him over the years and it has always been perfect, professional and quick but this last time was the best by far. After being in a car accident, he showed up for us big time…towing our car from another state, helping us obtain a rental, dealing with insurance and getting our car fixed. The repairs are always fabulous, communication is excellent and he gives you back the car clean and detailed!!! Couldn’t be happier. Wish every business had his work ethic. Highly recommend.

Great service, excellent customer relationship. Have been going here for over 15 years and have always resulted in good outcomes. I was referred to them by my friend who is also referred to him by a friend. They have very long relationships with their customers and I can see why because they take care of their customers. Recommended work is always from a practical sense and not trying to pad the bill.
Auto mechanics often get a bad reputation, but Josephs is different. I've been going there for over 35 years for things not covered by new car warranty, because they always deliver quality work. Gino and Steven are honest and upfront - they'll tell you exactly how it is, even when they're slammed with a busy schedule. This family-owned shop really has things under control. Highly recommend.

Excellent experience, I can easily say without hesitation that their work is impeccable. My BMW runs like new now! Steve and his team are the most honest, reliable, courteous, knowledgeable, professional mechanics. They took care of everything smoothly, was communicative, fair priced and made us feel very welcomed. They provide door to door service and bent over backward to get my car fixed, I strongly recommend their services. I don't intend to find another place to get my car problems solved. Wow! I'm so happy with Joseph's! My son is their steady customer, but this was my first experience with Joseph's. Just before Christmas, my car was hit in the back while it was parked in front of my house. A "hit-and-run." I was so upset, but Joseph's made the situation a lot easier to deal with. They worked well with my insurance company and helped with my rental car. After nearly three weeks, which I consider a reasonable amount of time, I picked up my car two days ago. It looks like new! Joseph’s has been my family’s top choice auto mechanic and body shop for over 50 years. My grandfather used to have his cars serviced and repaired by Joseph, and my the same with my father. Now Steven runs the shop and still does work with great integrity and care for the customer like I can’t find anywhere else. As a testament to how much I swear by Steven and his team, I drive 40 minutes each way to have my cars fixed here.
Steven was so wonderful to work with and he went above and beyond. I brought my car in for body work and not only did he fix those damages beautifully, he also fixed repairs done previously (and badly) by another shop - and I would never have known if he hadn't been honest with me about what he found. Steven is a gem and I can't recommend him highly enough.

Hands down the best service. I just recently bought a used car that had issues with rotors and paint. Steve who helped us for weeks with repairs is excellent in his communication and workability. We go there now for oil changes, inspections. Extremely trustworthy an asset to the Seaford and Wantagh Community.

The entire staff is wonderful to work with. They are the most honest and well trained repair shop in business. My family has been using their services for over 30 years and there is nowhere else I would take any of my 3 cars.
These guys know their stuff. They only recommend you use the best parts for your car and don’t cheap out. And give their best recommendation as to which parts are worn and needs to be repaired instead of ripping you off and fixing parts that do not necessarily need fixing just yet. 100% recommend them, Steve is a gentlemen and the rest of the crew as soon friendly! Plus they have the shuttle service that saves money in my pockets. They are their for your every needs.

Super professional. They tell you what’s wrong, the cost, the time it takes and possibility for cheaper options if you choose. These guys are the best. I cannot stress how much anxiety mechanics give me, I’m too inured to do the work myself and money is tight so I have to trust strangers not to abuse me I’m at their mercy and it gives me stress, real stress...... When they do work I’m calm and know I’m in good hands. Each time, great work, fair price, unreal communication. I have not been to another mechanic since I started using them.

It’s so nice to have a great auto place, where they do good work, for a for a fair price, and don’t look to rip you off or nickel and dime you. These guys are honest and take pride in having that reputation. I’ve been coming here since I moved to seaford a couple years ago after reading all the positive reviews.
