Certain employees here including managers need a training in employee etiquette. They are nasty rude people. Acting as if I'm the plague when you sell moldy food and squish my bread. I do not return much but today I did and I was treated like the plague. Rude as hell. Not sorry. You do not deserve 5 stars and I will keep posting reviews if their attitudes do not change. It is not right how they treat the customers this has happened multiple times to me and people i know, more than i can count and more that should ever be tolerated by a company. I will also be getting names and going to corporate. Have a nice day!
I live blocks away from this Stop & Shop and this is not even one of my go to stores that’s how incredibly bad they are. There is an older lady with short blonde hair that works on customer service, She is absolutely the worst. The management in this store needs to do better starting with that lady. She always have an attitude even with her fellow coworkers.
I moved to the area 8 months ago and its coincidental that I moved from queens where we had a stop n shop on Atlantic Ave, now I am in Oceanside and have Stop n Shop on Atlantic Ave!
I come in here every Saturday or Sunday. The store is clean, always the shelves are stocked. I find it very pleasant in here. I also usually use the self check out. there is always someone there to help if you have an issue and they always tell you to have a nice day when you leave.
Save your time and money and don’t buy fruit here. More often than not I return home and begin to wash my fruit to find that pieces are moldy or there are larvae eggs on them. Strawberries, blueberries, grapes you name it. Even in the store I look at each container and find many with visible mold (only to realize the ones I picked have mold too, just on inner pieces I couldn’t see.)
Going to Trader Joe’s or another supermarket instead for fruit. Not wasting another moment of my time and money on unhealthy produce.
The scanner is the problem. It seems internet glitches. When you go to self checkout sometimes you get really good workers, and other times you can get s person that isn't customer service prepared. Last time the person who was suppose to check us out had an attitude, and spoke to us as if we were trying to steal. I've gone to this place since before it was in its current place. Might you, the manager supervisors are great. They handle the problem with great customer service.
I’m giving 5 star just for this cart its so smooth i can’t even feel that it is moving you guys need to teach how to maintain the car to Target people

I went to the stop and shop on Atlantic Ave Oceanside. I had a cashier named Victoria. It says that name on my receipt.she took her scanner and scanned my eyes. It was an accident but did not say anything. I gave her a rain check for something. She called over Kathy, I guess that’s her supervisor. Kathy was sarcastic to me when I asked her a question about the rain check.I’m always in the store you would think I would get a little more respect then what I received. At the end of the transaction the cashier never said thanks. I never write reviews but this time I did I went to Stop and shop on January 9 2025. When I went to get a yogart from the refrigerator, I backed up 2 inch’s to close the door. Some women put her cart right behind me and I hurt my back. It’s not the first time I got hurt in this store. In August I cut my hand in the restroom on the sharp edge of the paper rack. I was bleeding bad. Rich the manager to me to call the store and get an accident number and phone number to call. When I called he said I’ll call you back with their number. He never called. 1 month after that I was walking in the store and a lady was coming at me with her wagon, I quickly moved out of the way and pulled a glute muscle. As mentioned in the previous review I had got my eyes scanned from a cashier. Got no apology. On Jan 9about 2:30pm customer service was closed. I told a cashier I need customer service, he said come back tomorrow. I’ll never ever go back to this store again!
Very large store, has great produce and deli meats. I like to use self checkout because it is usually faster, but remember not to lift an item off before you finish your checkout or you will have to wait for an associate to come clear the screen. Bring your own bags as well. The paper ones in here rip right away. The bakery is fantastic for a quick cake or even a custom sheet cake. Always new and interesting items!
Bakery staff are so nice. Made a cake for me within two days notice and it came out perfect and just how I wanted. I showed them an inspo pic but told them it didn’t have to be exact and they made it to a tee it was perfect. The cake was also so delicious. I asked for marble with chocolate mouse and buttercream it was so good. Definitely recommend, may even be better than a bakery with the low prices they charge!
Been shopping here for almost 10 years. (!) Always a reliable selection, the internal redesign works real well. Prices are second best to Lidl, but on a whole, the food is a bit better here. It's a four rating only because even after 10 years, they still haven't gotten control over the checkout lines, which are like a Who concert from the early 80's
This store is big, fully, stocked and clean. The staff have good attitudes and overall I have good experiences shopping here. My only gripe is that there are 2 entrances on opposite sides of the store, but carts are only kept at one entrance. So I have to walk just to get a cart if I don’t park closest to the entrance with one. Not a huge deal but is time consuming
Wide variety of items. Large produce and fresh veg section. Deli counter is always friendly, as are the butchers. Great grocery. I have also done pick up and delivery and had few issues. Rare occasion I have any issue customer service is great!
So I went in to stop and shop to buy cheese from the deli department. They were 2 people at the counter. Let's just say 30 mins later and a line forming I still didn't get serve and the line didn't move. Another customer spoke out about the wait and was cursed out by the woman and the man. She walked away so I took her spot. Stop and shop has gone down hill the last 2 years. Customer Service sucks I have never seen anything like this in all my life. The managers seem to cosign the nasty attitude from the employees. Everytime I've been to the deli it's a 45 mins wait. I have to fine another supermarket.
Found the store to be clean. I also used the restroom (F) Nice and clean. I am slightly handicap and found the seat level to be... give or take... 3 or 4 inches short. Hard for me to bend my back. It was an automatic flusher which is always good. BW TY
Great place, good prices, nice selection. I never have any complaints. It's always a pleasant experience and they've got tons of parking and house plants to choose from I always come here to buy Mexican food ingredients, as well as organic coffee creamer, chips and other things. They even have a charging station for electric vehicles, which is surprisingly very quiet.
Good selection of produce. Meat dept., cold cuts good too. Some items short on but thats the situation we are in. For the most store is clean, majority of cashiers are helpful and friendly. Hate self serve machines. Nice neighborhood store.
Great store. Best prices for strawberries always. Great selection of vegetables. But don't order from the deli. Takes way too long to fill orders. Also, shop there early. Seems like they don't restock their shelves until after they close.
This store is newly renovated and it is nice! Vert spacious allowing for plenty of social distancing which is now a very real thing!! Everything looks fresh and delicious. I didn't need any help but there were lots of employees around if assistance is needed. Tons of snow now so the parking lot was a bit cramped. All in all good experience!
Clean and well stocked in most aisles. Lines were long but went fairly fast, especially if self checking out. I liked the scale in the produce section that allowed you you weigh and price sticker what you had, saving time at check out.
Okay I don't usually rate food stores, but talkin about the bakery staff specifically, I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday and they did an amazing job, they put a generous amount of filling, and , they took a little bit of creative license with the color of the frosting on the side to match the picture on the front , it came out amazing everybody enjoyed it and I was hugely impressed especially for the price. If you need a birthday cake that's going to come out delicious and beautiful for a great price this is the place you go.
Paid almost $8 for 8oz of cheese this past Saturday, 01/11/2020, and check out the expiration date! Of course I already threw out the receipt so I cannot take it back and is going in the trash!
The store is very large and they do have some great selections. Prices were a bit high for the same products that are sold in other supermarkets like King Kullen which was surprising.
Store card gets you a lot of money back though.
Not sure if I would come back - cold cuts didn’t seem the freshest and some areas of the store didn’t seem the cleanest. That’s just my opinion though - definitely try it for yourself!
I just know that you will feel at ease when shopping at this super store. There is ample parking. An aisle dedicated to natural, organic products.!A very well stocked meat department. Clean and well maintained store. The manager of the store is very concerned about your needs. I can give this Two Thumbs Up!
