Get there early. Supplies go fast. This Walmart ser es a large diverse community. Also, local small grocery store owners, buy there stock from here. Sometimes its cheaper than buying wholesale.
The Walmart is fine but the parking lot is a mess. Not to fault the store for this but just be prepared for anarchy when looking for a spot. The access-a-rides take up a ton of space in the lanes. Almost every time I go.
This has to be the most unproductive Walmart location i have ever been to. I see so many employees on their cell phones. Cashiers while checking out customers on their cell, employees stocking shelves, stopping to respond to text and to look at videos. Employees in the isles, behind columns on their cell phones. Surfing, texting and sometimes talking with earbuds. Employees pushing carts, walking with cell phones in hand scrolling. There is gonna be or maybe it already happened where someone was injured due to the employee being distracted. What is wrong with having a strict no cell phone use while working on the floor rule? Leave it in your car or your locker. Just imagine if employees were not distracted how much can be accomplished during a shift.
20251020::progresso soup , 1/2 length angel hair and cucumber was on sale, got the flavored water. i like the inexpensive luncheon meat and sardines. this haul was around $20
20250524::i look for the fishies. the beach cliff filet are so cheap here @$1.14 but the tuna was more than my local supermarket
With today’s economy and pricing of food and every day necessities, Walmart is where I turn to. Walmart promises low prices and they always keep their promise. I make it a priority to take travel from Brooklyn New York to my closest Walmart in Valley Stream. I am able to stock my cabinets and refrigerator with everything I need to feed a family of four. Thank you Walmart!
It was my first time at the store. Needed a gaming laptop for our son. Online showed they had it so we decided to get there early before the crowd rolled in. Went to the electronic section. There was an employee there, probably the worse employee in the entire store. Completely miserable. We waited for her over 40 minutes. Rejoined the line and waited again because even though we informed her that we needed help 40 minutes ago- before she had customers, we were ignored.
I remembere her name with the first letter "Z". She then came to help after I rejoined the line. In the end - they did not have the laptop. Ended up at Best buy- service was amazing and we found what we needed. I 'd rafher spend my money where I feel valued and is given basic human courtesy- not asking for much. I will never ever visit this walmart again. One and done.
I had a good and fun pick up experience at the Green Acres location. The person that pick up name is Sharmall and he was patient, nice, and pleasant. I learn something about Jamaican's I did not know and I was able to speak to his supervisor Dwayne to give the compliment.
Walmart is what is usually advertised. I got 6 avocados for $1.79, that's a steal!
Things were organized and the shelves were constantly being repacked. The staff was very helpful.
I went to buy eggs and milk and it is not stocked, they have the products inside but they do not put them on the shelves, poor organization and management.
We usually have a difficult time, due in part by our mutual disabilities, when we go to Walmart, but usually find the merchandise we aim to find without trouble until this trip on Friday. We went to find shoes for my wife, but could not find the type of shoe she needed; until a kindly and very helpful associate, Shumari, helped my wife and I by not only finding the correct type of shoe and the right size, but also helped my wife adjust the laces, put them on her feet, and helped her to her feet to test them. Not only that, but her manner and accommodating demeanor made us feel like we were not a burden. She was so sweet! I want to commend the actions of this Walmart employee. I hope Walmart recognizes the efforts of Shumari. She keeps a well organized shoe department and the areas around it. When we encountered her we mistook her for a maintenance worker. She was sweeping and picking up debris that customers produce when trying on shoes. Upon seeing us, she cut short her activities and immediately commenced to helping us. It was the kind of service we hadn't encountered since we both worked in retail a long time ago. It was very much appreciated. So thank you Shumari for your kindness and attention.
This is the worst walmart i ever been to in my life !!! It was dirty inside and outside, you couldn't get into no aisle they full of pallet with bulks of merchandise on them. The whole aisle in every aisle during business hours !!! I had to park my cart far to get what i wanted then walk back to my cart, this store need to be shut down it's so disgusting all around . Management and supervisors of this store need to be fired or retrained ain't no way they letting this store be ran the way it's being run. Corporate needs to pay this store a visit without them knowing and get to the bottom of this mess asap.
2nd time ordering the (12) variety pack Gerber baby food [chicken and turkey] and the glass jars are broken ..this time it was MAGGOTS!!!!! I immediately threw it outside my house. UNEXCEPTABLE I have pictures too
Hard to find certain items, over crowded store. I believe this store is the closest to the 5 boroughs it should therefore be better stocked.
On too many occasions I've seen abandoned shopping carts with perishable items it makes me not want to buy anything from the freezer/ refrigerated section.
Unfortunately I have also encountered expired milk specifically almond milk..
More overnight stocking is desperately needed at this location to meet the demands.
Customer service staff is very rude. When you come up to them they start out being rude. Spoke to a manager and I don't believe she will talk to her staff. Bought my mom here to do a return on a big item that broke and she ended up re buying the item. I want her to stop giving this Walmart her money. They need to get better staff especially in customer service. I don't wanna give them a one star. They deserve none.
I just left the Walmart in Valley Stream and this was the absolute worst shopping experience I have ever had. Almost everything is locked up, so you have to wait for someone with a key. I waited 25 minutes just to get a heart monitor, and then when I went to buy batteries it was even worse. I was told they were kept in the Money Services area, but no one there seemed to have a key or even cared to help. I had to walk around the store to find someone, and eventually an associate brought another employee with a key.
The whole system is frustrating — you’re not allowed to touch the batteries, even just to look at them, and some of the ones they tried to sell me were dated 2020. When I finally chose a pack, I was told I couldn’t put them in my cart and had to pay separately at Money Services, which meant another unnecessary transaction. And she wouldn’t let me touch the package she had to hand it to the cashier. When I expressed my frustration, the associate said nothing — not even an apology.
To make things worse, when I went to check out with my regular items, the cashier walked away from the register without saying a word. It wasn’t for a price check, he just left. The customer in front of me even commented on it. After 15–20 minutes, the cashier finally came back but again said nothing — no “sorry for the wait,” nothing.
Overall, this store has terrible customer service, outdated products, and a completely broken system for locked items. This was by far the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had at any Walmart.

no mgmt around they won’t answer the phone and the customer service line is to exit all these cameras and no one notices people need help have one person to do the returns Unacceptable.

I want to let the owner of the Walmart company in Valley Stream NY , The Walton Family that the employees that work there are very rude. They need a refresher course in customer service because they lack that very much at that store. Starting from the employees on the floor to even the head cashier and supervisors. They get attitudes when you asked them assistance and their job is to make provide good customer service which I’m sorry to say this store does not provide that at all been there to many times and still get the same attitude treatment. Please inform have a serious talk with all the heads supervisor and manager there in Valley Stream NY
DONT GO HERE I HAVE A DISABLED CHILD AND I LITERALLY PAID FOR EVERYTHING I HAD KEEP IN MIND IM A SINGLE MOM PUSHING A WHEELCHAIR AND PULLING A SHOPPING CART AT THE SAME-TIME THE SECURITY CHECKED MY Receipt AND SAID I WAS GOOD TO GO FOR ME TO GET ALMOST OUT AND STOPPED BY A BUNCH OF MEN AND 1 WOMEN DEMANDING MY PROOF THAT I PAID AFTER THEY WATCHED THE GUY CHECK IT IN FRONT IF ALOT OF CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES I WAS EMBARRASSED WHEN THEY SEEN THEY WAS WRONG I ASKED FOR A MANAGER THE MANAGER DENZEL THEY SAID WAS ON THE TRAIN ON HIS WAY HOME YET THEY STILL TRIED TO HIT ME WITH Defamation of character . I WILL BE CONTACTING Corporate in the morning that was really embarrassing and to top it off they told me it wasn’t that serious for me to be as mad as I was huh how you stopped me out of all the people leaving out me the only one with a little kid at that moment a kid who has seizures a kid who can’t do anything for herself and then when my kid was crying the lady had the nerve to tell my kid stop crying in a smart way and called her a boy when she is a girl they had the nerve to scan my receipt but didn’t look to see if the stuff matched so yes they clearly pointed me out. EVERYTHING WAS PAID FOR PROOF IS BELOW
Tried for over a week to get someone on the phone to order my sister and I’s birthday cake with no luck. Finally ordered online and it was cancelled the next day. The voicemail they left stated that I need to order two weeks in advance when their website says three days notice is sufficient and I ordered with additional lead time. Very disappointing!
I’d give them a solid 3 out of 5 stars. I came three weeks ago and this place is packed. I have never in my life shopped inside of Walmart Supercenter, only online.
Many of the items I wanted were out of stock unfortunately. There are just way too many people here shopping. Lines are long. I saw almost two fights break out because of how narrow the aisles are. Patrons were overall polite. I was hit on twice in here while shopping (take that as you will). This store has everything you might possibly need.
I think it would’ve made more sense architecturally speaking if there were two levels in this store, instead of once. It would balance out the crowds of shoppers who are inside of the building.
That being said, many of the goods are a little cheaper, but not the cheapest in price of you compare prices to other grocery stores such as Food Bazaar, Wegmans, Stop and Shop etc. There is a BJs Wholesale across the street from Walmart. I will say I was able to buy many of the things I needed!
The highlight of the day was the cashier who stepped off the line to find a reusable shopping tote for me to put my items in as I was heading back home to Brooklyn. Forever grateful to that lady; she was a gem!
I would’ve rated it a 4 star if more items were in stock.
Very, very, very busy store.
Lots of people constantly moving pallets.
Their prices are less expensive than other Walmart locations and even had things on clearance that other locations had full price. Staff was still willing to help unlock cases, even though they were already busy.
Lots of foot traffic.
Ridiculously crowded. One Walmart for an area with hundreds of thousands of people. The avg. home goes for over $700K, What is Walmart thinking? Your losing money!!!!
Usually the shopping experience here is decent, but up until recently I had a very bad experience with this one with one of my family members. They were going to the register to checkout and the cashier left not once but twice out of frustration, which is a pretty infantile reaction if you ask me. Her name is Kayla and she has dreads, not to mention she has an attitude problem, I honestly don't know how they find and allow people like her to work in Walmart, I know some of the workers look depressed or chill, but holy cow, don't take it out on a customer that's been shopping for years. Oh, and for the most part the other cashiers and staff are alright and the store is kind of clean.
This would be my 1st time visiting this location and by far the worst one I've been too. 1st it's very busy which is understandable which caused me to wait outside for a shopping cart. I had to wait in the parking lot for someone to unload their cart and there were two other customers waiting for the same cart. 2nd I've asked an employee for assistance and she wasn't very helpful i had to ask a different employee for help. There were not enough open self checkout registers which created a very long line. Once I was heading out the parking lot it took several minutes to exit. I normally go to locations in NJ but decided to visit this one to see how it was, never again. It just seem to disorganized not enough shopping carts for the volume of customers they get and inexperienced employees. I'm sure during the week is not as busy.
I visited the Walmart Supercenter in Green Acres Mall today, and overall, the experience was satisfactory with a few highlights and observations.
The store had a good variety of items, and I managed to pick up everything on my list, as reflected in my receipt.
The layout made it easy to locate essential items. The aisles were clearly labeled and tidy.
While there was a bit of a line, there were multiple checkout counters open, which helped in reducing wait times.
The store was bustling, which led to some congestion in certain aisles and at the checkout counters.
It seemed like the staff were stretched thin; a bit more presence on the floor to assist customers would have been helpful.
The store was clean, well-lit, and maintained a welcoming shopping environment. Despite the crowd, the experience was smooth, and the checkout process was efficient.
I’ll likely return for future purchases, given the convenience and variety offered at this location.
Humongous parking area. Store is the widths of two or three football fields.
Was in search of baseball cards for my grandson. Asked an employee: “I don’t know.” Asked another: “Stationery section,” she replied. When I was surrounded by pens and paper, I asked her again. “Toys,” I was told. Nope. Tried once more and miraculously found an employee willing to do her job. She checked her inventory device-the same one all the other workers carry-and told me, “No. No baseball cards.” Then I went in search for a certain toy. Employee number 5 assured me they did not have it.
I found it 2 aisles over. And while I was on the self checkout line, I found the baseball cards.
This is probably the WORST Walmart I’ve ever been too, I mean it!!! It’s the only Walmart you will ever go to where there is more workers than customers, SEVERAL incorrect items in the wrong place, items without tags and just overall a hot stankin mess. What are the employees doing you ask? Legit gathered around in huddles congregating … you can tell when the manager walks through bc then you hear scattering and scanner devices going off as they all get back in formation. Don’t ask for any help either, they have no idea it’s clear no one does real true work here. This Walmart may “appear” to be stocked and ready to shop but do not even waste your time… they overstaffed and understocked!!! by far the worst in all my years of going … this one needs major work like a whole system flush cause why does no one know anything and they manager no where to be found and after an hour waiting for an approval for an item THEY had in the wrong SECTION to began with really had my mind blown. THEN sent me to customer service, yall do yall know they said “we have to verify…” so I said sure and walked over there and these people put a sign up after I left and didn’t move the damn clothes out the wrong place. WHAT??? Yeah they gotta have an operation under the operation here bc it’s no way they are this comfortable being this bad if it wasn’t. An atmosphere a criminal only would thrive in… legit breeding grounds for a thief … and they was scared to give me a price on some shorts without a number even after I found a similar pair… when I could have walked out with them literally. it’s kinda gloomy too in the inside like they don’t even fix the lights that go out. To be from North Carolina and Walmart is such a big deal, to see how they treat it up north in NY is mind blowing …
The food, lunch meat and cheese spoil quick. A month ago I bought Great Value seasoned fries and they were molded. The cashiers are scanning items more than once so I have to watch them scan every item. This store is the worst. I go for the prices but if you want quality you won't get it from this Walmart. I guess you get what you pay for. They need to shut this Walmart down...
This is the most convenient location to NYC. It's well kept, the workers try their best to keep everything clean and stocked. The bathrooms are clean about 80% of the time and they maintain them pretty regularly. They're always getting stock and refilling the areas that need it. Sometimes it's hard to maneuver between the pallets but at least I know more products are coming in. The lines move the way you would expect them to, sometimes its fast and most times it's slow Self check out is the greatest thing and the workers there are helpful. They recently renovated and increased security, in a helpful but not overbearing way. Overall, not a bad location, especially during the slower / off-peak times.
