Brought in a 5000 pound car with aluminum wheels. Paid me for no cat knowing damn well it was aftermarket . I would not use this location for anything. They are cheap and untrustworthy
Do not go here!!!. I repeat do not go here!! These guys will rip you off if you are not careful. Do not let them weigh your scrap with a cart or they will rip you off with the tare weight. Brought in three different type of copper but had three different tare weights on the receipt, when using the same cart to weigh three different items. Take your scrap copper to “fortune metal”
We have a renovation and had a lot of bx electrical cable with aluminum on top and copper inside. My contractor came and got reimbursed for part of it. When I brought cable more than 5000 lb. They put it as steel and gave me 100 dollars. When I said that to a man he was laughing at me and he refused to talk to me. It’s absolute discrimination. Because he would not do it to a man but to me as a woman he lied and gave me the wrong price. They are thieves scammers and should be closed. Don’t go there. It’s a absolute scam. Will update after I have result from filing a complain.
If I can give half a star I would. I brought 5 big garbage cans packed with copper pipe and wire. Each can was a little over 100 lbs I know cause I weighed each can my self. I wanted to weigh each garbage can on the little scale cause I knew it was accurate cause I stepped on it and it was the right weight. But the guy wouldn't let me and told me to go on the big scale. After they weighed it they counted 400 lbs exactly. They shorted me over 100lb of copper and the price was 2.25 for type #2. He said I gave you 2.35 a pound. Still doesn't make up the diffrence.
If you went through the effort of sorting your copper you’d better make sure you assert that it be weighed separately. Otherwise they’ll try to pull a fast one by defaulting to #2 across the board. Probably standard practice at any scrap yard but as an inexperienced scrapper this caught me off guard. Waste of time to divide my scrap if they’re gonna do that.
Even so here is a comparison of prices listed on their website vs. what I received ($/lb):
Brass mixed— Web $1.74 …. Received $1.75
#2 copper— Web $2.27 … Received $2.25
So pretty true to their word on that. See ya
Super cool place. If you scrap metal you can load you truck, come here and the will weight the truck before and after. A lot of people so come early. If you have aluminum or copper I belive you most let them know and bring it before you enter. I belive they pay more for that. Thank you so much guys
Prices are low, tare values are greatly exaggerated if using their carts or containers. I would avoid, try LJS in Oceanside. They much more accommodating. Also, they are closed at 2pm on Saturday.

The website says they close at 3 o'clock The sign on the gate says they close at 3 o'clock... so why when you get there at 2:30 do they refuse service and say they are closed... this was so ridiculous because the people were still there working... this sucked as I had a loaded truck of metal that I couldn't drive my truck for a week!!!
brought them few hundred pounds of of solid block tool steel and a few solid steel chairs. priced it all as scrap iron. raised the question on pricing, told I was wrong even tho I know there is a price difference. sad because I have so many good memories going here with my grandfather to scrap out old tools and dies. will bring my scrap elsewhere from now on.
