Terrible experience. My car suddenly shut off while driving on Great Neck Road. I contacted my roadside assistance, who said the wait would be about 3 hours. While I waited, a police officer came by (since my car had to be temporarily moved to Overlook Ave), and was kind enough to arrange for a tow through Fagan Towing Inc.
When the Fagan tow truck arrived, I politely asked the driver how much it would cost to tow the car to my mechanic in Queens. He said he didn’t know, but immediately started loading the car anyway. After it was already on the truck, he said call this # to get the price and drove off. I called the # and the same guy answered and told me the price will be $500, and that due to traffic, the car couldn’t be delivered until the next day, with additional charges for overnight storage.
At this point, I asked him to just bring my car back to where it was picked up. He refused unless I paid $250. I ended up involving the police, and after explaining the situation, he finally returned the car — but only after I paid $220 in cash, which was all I had on me. I then had to wait again for another tow company.
Please demand a written estimate or receipt before they load your car onto the truck. If you don’t, you may get hit with surprise fees and pressured into paying unreasonable amounts.
Not transparent, not professional, and definitely not recommended.
Do not hire this company. They towed my car by mistake, was very rude “I don’t work for free and now you will have to wait” when I had to pick up my kids at school. Do not hire them.
Refusing to give us a receipt after we paid him to remove the boot off our car. Called multiple times but he first tried to swindle us by telling us to get the receipt from the garage security who has no involvement with the towing company. Complete scammer. Completely wrong for a “business” to not provide a receipt for a transaction.
This guy physically assaulted someone for no reason. Then called the cops because he was scared he was going to get reported. I’m happy there was proof. It was pretty scary because he didn’t even let the man speak he just attacked him for no reason.
I felt uncomfortable because no one was mad besides this guy towing the car.
I know they make shows about this and people acting crazy, but this guy was WAY OUT OF LINE
This man first told us 150 dollars to tow a car, then when he saw our car he asked for 200 dollars, he is a complete scammer, stay away from them, they are all scammers.
Let me tell you how much of a rip off these guys are. I broke down with the same car last weekend called a place and got a tow from further out then what I just payed for through Fagan Towing. These guys charged me an extra 150 dollars for less of a tow and not even a flat bed. Luckily I'm not a scum bag and paid because I was stranded and didn't want to cycle through numbers with people honking non stop stuck in a bad area. These tow company took advantage of this and I hope this whole harded message resonates with those unfortunate enough to go through simmilar circumstances. They charged me 400 dollars to go almost 30 miles. Insane. Good luck folks. These guys are robbing the working people blind.
Just had a great experience all things considered.I needed to have my car towedAnd let me tell you it wasn't easy considering the fact thatAnd let me tell you it wasn't easy considering the fact that I only have 3 wheels on the car. Kevin is the man. He was super chill and patient and helped get my car to the shop in one piece.
Good service. Sean luckily stopped when he saw my cars hazard lights were on while I was waiting for another tow service. The other service never came, but Sean came in 25 minutes after I called. Quick service and good handling of my vehicle.
I picked up my Mercedes here after a little accident and this place gave me a great helping hand very professional and very kind to say the least if he wasn’t in such a rush for another tow I would have loved to make friends with the guy! 10/10
Was driving down lakeville and switched lanes infront of the truck. Driver was angry and decided to flash me with the blinding lights and blow the horn at my all the way down lakeville. Extremely unprofessional and dangerous
My boyfriend and I got stuck on the highway because my belt broke and steering wheel locked Yesterday, mind u it was a Sunday 5pm no other tow companies were available but he was ! And he was there in 10 mins! great service and nice guy would definitely recommend this company if u need a tow
worst staff who can be potentially dangerous and pose physical assault and if you told him you would call the cops, he will definitely snatch your phone and kept your phone. Nightmare experience.
They have towed my cars a few times for various reasons always very professional and very reasonably priced especially for the area . I suggest you keep their number stored for an accident they are way cheaper that other towing companies the police get
Guys be careful about this horrible company! They will charge you whatever they want without reason and they do not take credit card(Really???)Our car was towed away on 07/12 night. The driver Sean was following and watching us all the way in his car (to see if we were in front of ATM, withdrawing cash for him)when we were calling our friends. When we called him again he just kept saying "I waited for you for one hour, ur wasting my time. I'm gonna go home. u guys come tomorrow(I recorded the whole phone conversation)"-this is a 24/7 opened service, how could u use such a nasty way to push us pay u?? 1/2 mile for $350.25 and treated rudely. If u see a towing warning by Fagan in Great Neck, be careful!!!
