In this bitter cold time, we (along with many other people) found a dead battery. Jim came to the house, gave us a boost and got us a new battery quickly. The guys at Nassau Shores Auto repair are the best. Our family has been using them forever. Nick and Jimmy are well known in Massapequa and surrounding areas and are beloved by all for two simple reasons: customer service and trustworthiness. I know that when the car is dropped off for whatever reason, I’m getting a reasonable quote, an accurate timeline as to when the job will be done, and the quality of the results is always there. I am not taking my car anywhere else. Everyone in Massapequa “has a guy”, and Nassau Shores Auto repair is mine when it comes to automotive repair. I “hate” to have to go them bc it’s another bill to pay, BUT at least I know I am getting what I pay for. I highly recommend them if/when you’re in the need of their services!!!!

Nassau Shores Auto has delivered nothing but great customer service and excellent repairs. I can’t rave about these guys enough! Any time I need to drop my car off, Jimmy and the rest of the team accommodate me immediately. Anytime I’ve had an appointment they are impeccably prompt and lovely to deal with. I had difficulty opening the hood today, 9/15/25, no one had been under the hood since Nass shores repaired the idler pulley and inspected the car
After I got under the hood I discovered that 8 of the grill retaining push buttons had not been reinstalled, after the idler pulley job I’m assuming, 5 of the push pins were laying on the radiator shroud, the other 3 were no where to be found
NSAR is a great local shop. I’ve been using them since I moved to massapequa in 2012. Nick and Jimmy are both very knowledgable and professional. They have gained my trust over the years and I have no problem sending my wife there w/o any concern of being taken advantage of. Their prices are fair, they do quick, thorough work and they don’t sell you something you don’t need. They also stand by their work— they recently honored a warranty on my front brakes. They are great at quick flat repairs, scheduled service and Preventative Maintenance. They’ve also tackled some big nasty jobs for me ( broken bolts on a gas V10 exhaust manifold). One time I had brake problems and didn’t feel comfortable driving to the shop…….Nick said don’t worry I know where you live and took the time to walk to my house and drive my truck to the shop. A couple great down to earth guys running a great business. I highly recommend.

I needed an issue taken care of before driving my vehicle far with my kids on vacation and Jim advised that I could come in the next morning. He was so helpful, caring and very thorough. Took my car back to Jimmy and Nick at Nassau Shores Auto Repair because I needed a battery and tires and an oil change. Once again they did an amazing job. This was my second time going there and I will continue to take my car back. Like I’ve mentioned before if you need anything done with your car, this is the place to go.

Brought my car in again for the Fourth of July weekend special and to check why my airbag light kept going on and once again, Jimmy did a fantastic job. He found the problem fixed it. Great experience! Very quick, transparent, and trustworthy. Everything you would want in a mechanic. I was nervous to get a certain car part fixed and have to go through using my warranty because I’ve heard that can be a real headache but it was so seamless and the car has been running well since getting it back. I will definitely be using them again in the future!
Came in for an oil change and inspection. Dropped my car off that morning and was ready late afternoon. Good service and nice people. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.
New Customer: I am extremely impressed with the professionalism, my interaction with Steve at the counter my first time walking in, the cleanliness of the shop (I've admired for years how organized the lot is kept every time I drive by), and the use of technology with the text notifications. As I told Steve when I walked in, I was looking for a new mechanic bc my prior guy closed- my search ended 5 minutes into my conversation with Steve and observing the work and interaction of the employees. I'm glad I decided to stop in!
By far the best and most professional auto service and repair shop in our area. They literally never "steer" you wrong. everything is done on time and prices are very reasonable. My entire family loves them.
I can’t say enough good things about the guys at Nassau Auto Repair! We had a bit of a judgment call on replacing a battery in my car and giving me the benefit of the doubt, they went ahead and replaced the battery. Too many repair shops could have ruled in their own favor, but they gave me the very generous decision I was hoping for. Customer service has gone downhill. My husband has used Nassau Shores for a few years to service both of our cars. We have always been pleased with their services. Yesterday my husband brought my car in for a/c services and unfortunately it has been quite unpleasant. We have only serviced our vehicles through Nassau Shores and we were told that the last mechanic to look at my a/c broke the compressor. Nassau Shores has been the only car service we have used. Of course, they have no records of ever looking at my a/c (which they have in the past). Initially, they told my husband they were recharging the a/c and compressor was fine. Hours later the story changed. In addition to this, they did not communicate anything with myself or my husband. We called and asked to speak with a manager to get clarification on what happened and what's going on to no avail. I usually recommend their services and send people to them so this was very disappointing. We really are disappointed with their customer service after praising them for a few years. It would have just been nice to get a phone call after expressing our concerns. We were never asked if we wanted to even make the repairs; however the repair was done. Over 2k and would not negotiate.
I decided to come here because of the reviews, but it has been a nightmare. They're very friendly but very disorganized, they don't put your car back the way you left it, and they're quick for a reason... FYI, they try to blame everything on the age of your car. Didn't fix my AC correctly and left pieces out under the hood... Guess they thought I wouldn't notice. They claimed they fixed it after I had to bring it back, but now my car is shooting out smoke and making crazy noises in the front. Had to shut it off before it exploded. This is my second time driving my car after they "fixed" it, and now it's blowing out smoke, smells like it's on fire, and I can't drive it. Things only went downhill after leaving my car here. Never again. They also called like four different times saying different things. It went from ordering new parts to just repairing them to oh no your ac is fine to oh we checked again by running Freon through it to hey that piece that we broke that goes over your radiator isn't necessary has no function we removed it to we called Jeep and it's essential for the car... can't make this up. What a nightmare. Where are the trustworthy mechanics?? Lmk
