Bolts broke off in engine block for fan clutch mounting. Other shops couldn't tackle / handle the job. Adirondack Towing took me in. Handled the repair professionaly and timely. back on the road les than 24 hours. Highly recomend this place. Also a very clean shop and café on premises with friendly staff and great food

Husband and I were stranded due to clutch going out on semi. John and his wife were so very helpful. She fed us at the café and took very good care of us. Made us feel like home. John came and got us and got us rolling to the truck stop,then he went as far as to help us find a hotel and also gave us a ride there. Had the truck fixed and ready to go quickly,just a few days. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a wrecker or mechanic work done. Five start service. Treated us like royalty. Thanks John and your wife for making us feel like family.
John and his team at Adirondack are absolutely amazing. We had a situation that just kept going from bad to worse and they made everything an absolute breeze from not only picking up our truck and trailer, storing them in their yard, repairing our truck that we were sure would need the dealership (which would've had it out of service for a week) they even went the extra mile by dropping our driver off at a hotel. I cannot recommend them enough.
John is the man!!! I was moving too quick and pulled from my trailer without putting down my landing gear and got stuck!! If you know you know!!! John came and got me out in 10 minutes!! Cmon now , he’s out here doing his thing. Thank you so much again
Did not even want to help me. As soon as I called and told him I was referred to him he said he didn’t run his business like that. Treated me like I was stupid when I started(I didn’t even get to tell him)telling him what was wrong with my truck, he started telling me to call other mechanics he was very rude & disrespectful!
Called 10 different places and they were the only ones that didn't give me the runaround for a weekend road call at 4am. John was fast and friendly. Definitely fist call next time I need work in the area.
Hands down best repair/tow company. I had the pleasure of meet the owner John and 2 of is mechanics working on my truck because I had intermittent power problem to ECM it took a few hours to find but they got it and got me back on the road and was very fair on the price. Thank you

I highly recommend these guys. The company I worked for had the local TA come out and fix my truck, TA tech claimed the truck had a bad ECM and they couldn’t fix it. After sitting at a truck stop for 2 days my company gave these guys a call, they came out and after 5 minutes I was back on the road and no the ECM didn’t have to be replaced.
Ripped a couple of air suspension lines under my tractor from running over a cone in the middle lane that could not be avoided! I was able to limp it to the next exit and John met me in a trailer drop lot. He was under the truck for maybe an hour and now I am about to get back on the road.

This company is very good and they are very experienced in this job. Yesterday my truck shutdown and I couldn’t start the engine and I called one road service company they send a mechanic and when he came he said my truck has a TCM issue that needs to be handled only by the Freightliner, but the following day I called the ADIRONDACK, they fixed the issue in a minute. Briefly I would encourage everybody to work with them.
The staff/owner of Adirondack Towing were amazing to work with. I had a unique project that I could not find anyone to help with. One call to them, the job was taken care of. No complaints, just professional, 1st class service. Thank you ADK!
Very fast and professional service. I used them to undeck trucks. Even with years of knowledge the owner still listened to me and did as I asked and needed to get the job done swiftly and safely. The diner at the truck stop has a great pastrami on rye.
8/19/2023…. Today I had a brake chamber blow out on my semi. The technician John, from Adirondack showed up within a half hour. Very knowledgeable, very respect and extremely fluent with the repair. While I assumed the breakdown would require a tow, John was able to get me from out the middle of the highway, into a parking lot and repaired my problem in little time. I highly recommend using this service especially if you are in the Amsterdam, NY area. Adirondack save me time and money.

I had a driver stranded over In Amsterdam and tried for 4 hrs to get a service to come out a jump start my guy to get him home to his family. We were referred to Adirondack Towing by another service provider and they came to our rescue. They got my guy up and running and now is able to get home. They have fair prices and a quick response time. Best service I have received from a heavy duty truck provider in a long time. Instead of being my last call they will now be my first call.
I had a rear-end go out at 12:30am. These guys came right out and towed me to their shop. Such a great group of people. Great service and very fair pricing. I was very pleased. Highly recommend if you need anything.
I had a severe coolant leak on my freightliner truck and after calling them after 5 in the morning, a tech was onsite under 1 hr. He wasn't able to fix on site so I followed him to the shop which has plenty of room and a nice deli. They treated me well and got the radiator installed in a timely manner and sent me on my way. I was in a jam. The TA truck stop in Fultonville, NY was very disorganized and did not fix my truck before they assured me it was and rushed me out of the shop. The problem wasn’t fixed so I contacted John, the owner of Adirondack Towing. I sent him my information and we made plans to fix my truck the next day (I called him late at night). He came to me at my hotel with the right part and had my truck fixed in about 30 minutes! He is very quick and efficient.. He’s honest and true to his word. You can’t go wrong with John and his company. I highly recommend his services for heavy truck repairs and/or towing!
if you are in or around the Amsterdam area and your ride is giving you troubles give these guys a call. They will get you fixed up and back on the road and I am speaking from experience. Our cancer awareness truck lost brakes. It's a 77 chevy c60 so imagine how hard it is to get parts but these guys got it done and the truck is carrying on its mission to help families dealing with Cancers. Adirondack Towing proprietor John saved the day when he pulled my 40’ brand new motor home out of a muddy mess I never should have tried to get into. From my first call where a answered the phone (no machine answer!) he assured me he would be there at first light and not to worry. His first priority was cause no damage, so he was slow and meticulous. He got her out and all was well. He may not be the least expensive around, but you’re paying for top on the line equipment, and most importantly his almost 40 years of experience. When you’re worried about your $400,000 Motorhome, it’s money well spent!
