I teavelled 5 hours for a battery box set up for a custom truck I'm building
Jeff was extremely accommodating to out short notice trip and timeline. The product was exactly as represented and it was a very smooth and simple transaction. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with these folks again if they have what I need.

Our humble nonprofit nature preserve was desperate to keep our old pickup truck running in good shape. Our box was falling apart and local options were in terrible condition requiring thousands in body work labor, paint, welding, and materials. We were so delighted to discover clean and well organized Dutcher's Inc. Automotive & Heavy Truck Parts, who actually had three in stock in our make, model, year, and color. As good as their product availability was, their service is even more exceptional. Due to a time-consuming medical appointment and unexpected traffic in Syracuse, they actually allowed me to drop my trailer, took care of straps and mounting while I was away, and actually stayed open cheerfully after hours to help me connect the rental trailer with new box back on my truck for safe transport home. You cannot ask for a more cost-effective, pleasant, and safety-conscious experience. When I finally saw our elegant new box in my rearview mirror, I screamed with delight !!! We will definately be coming back for more parts needed to keep our trusted pickup truck operating safely and under budget. Thanks again for everything to Greg, Katherine, and the rest of the crew at Dutcher’s.
What can I say that hasn't already been pointed out in some of these other reviews. Customer service? Other than taking your money and handing you a part, I'd say it's very limited. Definitely consider getting parts elsewhere. To pay 100$ for a door handle off from a 2013 vehicle, when a brand new one costs 135$ at the Chevy dealer, is a SCREW JOB. Was told to buy a lock mechanism by a (so-called) mechanic in Oneida. He didn't end up needed the part, and said Dutchers would take it back. I should have told him to return it, as it was his mistake. Called them to explain that I would like to return the unused part. Said I'd lose 20$ for them to walk back and set it on a shelf (part was in house), but the girl on the phone gave me a line of b.s. about having to pay to ship it back where they got it. Liars!!! Unfortunately, since Gary's Auto Parts in Oneida is no longer doing business, people who need parts are forced to deal with shady operations located 50 miles from civilization. Very shitty attitude from them if you have any sort of complaint or criticism about how they do business. I know buying parts on line is often a crap shoot, but worth the risk for the time you waste dealing with these guys.
they listed parts online I asked him about prices on wheels and he told me hehad hundreds of parts and couldnt give me a price. just rude and if u have time to reply you got time to give me a price. will not buy from them
Nothing bad to say about dutchers. They had parts I couldn’t find anywhere else at a fair price. Very easy to communicate and coordinate with. Even had a pick up time that worked with my busy work schedule. No doubt will be returning!
WARNING Check all your Options before dutchers! I Ordered a part off of an old discovery, ask for a picture of the part before they shipped it to me it was still in the parts car, I saw everything I needed so I got it. they didn't send package tracking so I had to call to find out it ended up at the neighbors house. upon inspection of the upper air intake it was immediately off as we notice some sensors still attached and some removed and where one sensor was removed there was a large flathead dent into where one of the sensors sat. After talking to the 3rd generation manager even after sending photographs of the damaged part she essentially acted like it wasn't her problem and all she could do was have us pay shipping to send the part back to get a refund when the part cost as much as the shipping essentially loosing 100 dollars to their mistake. That is not customer service
3 for 3. Dutcher's is the place for me. 96 Dodge Cummins Inner Cooler and Radiator. Approximately 2 years ago still performing problem free.
Recently called for a 03 Duramax Radiator. Called 8am, picked up at shop 2:30 in the afternoon.

Had an issue with a used part. It happens sometimes with used stuff and is to be expected. Dutchers stood up and resolved it same day. I will definitely be coming back with future needs.
Katherine was incredibly helpful and we placed an order for parts I had trouble finding elsewhere in under 5 minutes. I was calling another shop for days as I was offered a discount on shipping but they continuously placed me on hold and never picked up the line. Called Dutcher’s Inc and she took care of it right away. At that point, it’s worth the price!
Beware. Bought a replacement truck bed from this family-run company. Car-part description claimed no damage, never worked-on part. They were unable to provide a color code or vin after repeated requests on the phone. I gambled and drove over 4 hours to their location to find there was more than 6 hours of bodywork to make the bed acceptable and paint color was a very rare Limited-model color that did not match. Also, vin was clearly marked on the underside of the bed. They (KD) would not adjust their top of market price (2,000 +tx) after admitting that the claimed condition was not correct.

Bought an engine from this place for over $2000, put the motor in and it was knocking. Did everything this company advised to try and stop the knocking. Motor is seized now. Can’t get in contact with the person who handles the warranty with this company. Paying double the labor, stuck in such a horrible position. Front customer service is amazing, can’t say the same for backend wise. If you’re reading this please contact me please, I need my money back, take your messed up engine back.
Prices area bit higher than other scrap yards but the parts I'm normally getting are parts that by coming off southern vehicles and in much better shape.
The staff is also another reason I shop there. Very knowledgeable and super friendly and always willing to lend the extra hand to me if needed
Pricier then other pick and pull/junk yards around but they do guarantee/ warranty some of there parts. Prices have went up over the years unfortunately. I use to go here often but not as much anymore. I rather drive to Syracuse or Rome and save money and time and get the part I need same day. They use to be more laid back and a bit less expensive. Unfortunately you can't go in the yard anymore to pick your own part and the wait time now is sometimes longer then most people would want to wait. The up front staff has seem to get a bit ruder. smug and in patient over the years. But not all that bad sometimes they have and can get parts others can't.
Found a part on a vehicle when looking for something else. Contacted Katherine, very nice on the phone and they took my credit card for the deposit. Drove 5 hours from Canada and all the team helped to show me the part and loaded onto my trailer. Lots of selection in the rows of vehicles. If you are looking for a pick up bed box, this is the place!
I needed a gas tank for 2009 Hyundai, my mechanic originally told me $800 + with parts and labor. ( I totally understand he's a licenced mechanic and probably can't suggest used parts, he and parts place have to make money too!)

$75.00 for the tank OH and they delivered it to my mechanic at no charge!!!
My mechanic installed it for $150.00!!!

This isn't a scrap yard or a pick-n-pull. They are a "recycling center". That being said they do have good parts but on the downside they are priced at retail and are hard to deal with, if you aren't a company buying many parts off them.
