I’ve been going to this scrapyard several years now and have consistently received exceptional service from the courteous and professional staff. Initially unaware of their metal segregation policy, my first visit proved enlightening as the knowledgeable workers guided me through the process of sorting the various metal types and their corresponding weigh stations. Upon arrival, the weigh station at the entrance facilitates the initial assessment, followed by a secondary station indoors specifically designated for precious metals, where further segregation takes place. I am grateful for establishments like this that streamline the recycling process, making it both accessible and efficient.
This scrapyard provides a valuable service by promoting sustainability through metal recycling while offering educational insights and efficient metal sorting practices. It continues to be a commendable resource for environmentally conscious individuals.
At the very entrance the staff is extremely unwelcoming
They are screaming , as the are meeting the most stupid drivers ever
The prices of the metals are good , compared to others places , however, they scam you in front of your eyes
My 50% Number one copper was rounded to others 50% N 2 copper
For my big surprise, the brass was not weighed at all , for few nuts , I was told , that I have 3 pounds of Brass
….
Definitely I won’t go there if I have no other choice….
Very dishonest people, will try to scam you by not separating different materials in order to pay you the least amount possible and if theres any issues with their scale they surely wont mention it to you. Avoid at all costs if you actually want your worth in scrap. The past 3 times ive been here have been nothing but issues. They should atleast act like they care and know what they’re doing.
A place to recycle metal for some cash. The staff act like they own the world and they are gods gift to this earth. There is a scale for vehicles and the weight difference from when entering to exiting is how much they pay you. I think metal is like $.06 a lb.
It's not worth bringing metal here unless 1. You just need to get rid of it 2. You do this as a business and have a lot of metal.
ive been going here since 2011 the prices go up and down sometimes but compared to other scrapyards that rob you i 100% recommend this one. i got $85 from benson scrapyard when i could of got $250 from here.
Great place to recycle ♻️ . First time for me. Wow, what a busy place!!, Eric was very helpful, funny and courteous. He's the guy at the front gate that guides you in ( he also paid me on the way out with a receipt!) and then there's another guy that backs you into the unloading area. Where this guy operating a crane with a super strong magnet attached to it, picks up, crushes and piles up the metal. What an experience but i don't think I'll do it again. I needed to recycle an old file cabinet, I was 4 min away and bingo there they were!. Thanks again Eric!
I used this place several years. Place was not bad, but today for 67 LB received only $18. Before they paid much more for less weight and similar sort of metal, include copper , brass, and other metal.
Not recommend this location. Very regret about change.
Busy scrap yard. Long waiting time with cars and trucks lined up to get in. Fastest way to get in is to park at the Home Depot lot and wheel your junk in using a hand truck. Make sure they characterize and tally up your metal correctly. Had to correct them the last time I went and still I felt cheated.
I went there once and the price was correct more or less. The second time I know they cheated me. I was shocked with the money they offered me and told them. They said that was the correct amount. they are thieves!!
I think this place has gotten used to dealing with drug addicts and bums, so they have been programmed to think everyone who walks in is a drug addict and and a bum. Some people are successful contractors who bring scraps because they want to pass the saving onto their clients, also why fill landfills with recyclable items?
I will never come back here. I personally wasn't disrespected, but I seen grown men act like elementary school bullies.
disappointed: we didn't get what we paid for. feel cheated and annoyed. it was the wrong design and the paint was for a few coats and we didn't get that either. broken promises. go elsewhere- sorry vito- it rusted the 1st year. you didn't hold up to the deal you promised my parents.
This place is well organized. Convenient location. It's easy to go in and out with car. They always open on time and everyone I encountered in that place are hard working individuals. Their prices are higher than at that place by Gowanus canal and some other places. .
Scrap metal is an occasional gig for me and I'm very happy with service and money I get from them.
I 'v been there ,they cheat you on everything. I brought cat 5 ,cat 6 360 lb and #2 awg wire 67lb they payed me $173 ,then I started argue with them they just added $20 dollars .don't go there they cheaters
I have no idea who would leave good comment for this place. Probably only people who work there.
Always unfair. If this place is your only option you have to know what is what otherwise they will cheat you out of your money.
Been there several times recycling old building materials copper pipes and wires metal sheets etc, courteous staff. they pay current market value, fast and efficient. .
