Got quoted $410 for my car guy Anthony came to pick up my car and told me that he can only give me $210 because the catalytic converter was a aftermarket. Spoke to peddle and was told that shouldn’t have happened. They are horrible don’t ever use this company.

Saw a guy who looked like Vic Mackey from that TV show The Sheild. Only he was more bald. He was very helpful. And this other guy who looks like he shoulda let Harvey Weinstein take him on a couple of dates back in '96, he could've been bigger than Brad Pitt AND Rob Lowe!
There was feint smell of burnt clutch in the air and broken glass on the floor. My kinda place.

This establishment is associated with the neutral drop YouTube and Instagram account. These videos they smash car windows in Queens and do not clean up the mess. On a busy road someone could pop a tire or a pedestrian could get hurt. If this is the level of professionalism on offer you are much better off going to a place that does not trash residential communities. I came here to inquire about scrapping my fleet of Peterbuilts. When I pulled up, a very nice valet approached me to grab the keys for my Charger Hellcat (valet looked like a discount Brad Pitt), he introduced himself as a Stunt Man.
When I completed doing my business, I exited the premises and was greeted with a thick fog and rubbery smell outside. The nice valet was standing next to my charger with a fire extinguisher. He said he wanted to make sure nothing happened to the car and that it doesn't spontaneously catch fire. He also recommended that I replace my rear tires. What a nice man, I gave him a $1 tip for his excellent customer service.
I decided to sell my totaled car through Peddle and Plakos was assigned to me for the pickup process. Anthony was communicative, helpful, and accommodating despite a potential towing challenge. While I hope to never go through this experience again, I would not hesitate to use Plakos' services in the future.
Update: Scheduled a timeframe to pick up and scrap a car and they were very late. Dispatch had no updates to give on when the driver would arrive. No estimate, nothing. Dispatch says they'll call me back with an estimate, no call. If it's not possible to arrive in a two hour time window then give a larger window and tell me the driver will call beforehand. None of this was communicated to me.
The driver called amd told me he was an hour away and he arrived precisely at that time. The driver was great, professional, and communicated clearly. But by the time he was on his way dispatch had sent been ignoring me for hours.
The best scrap yard in Brooklyn hand's down. Excellent staff who are always trying there best to get you in & out as fast & safe as possible. Keep up the great work.
I’ve never been here before, but 5 stars for giving Stuntmaannn and Cameraman a place to make their Neutral Drop Youtube videos for our entertainment. I was trying to sell my car and was offered $100 but declined, I was later referred to Plakos Scrap where I was offered more than 3 times that amount and paid on the spot. They were very helpful, friendly and the whole process took 5 minutes. Thank you Plakos bro's !

Great place to bring your scrap metal. Easy setup, fair and honest. Went to Irving across the street and they wouldn't buy my metal because it was 1 penny a pound. Said I could leave it for free if I wanted. Went to Plakos and got $126 for my steel. Will come back again!
Even though Plakos is a very professional company it also feels very personal. You will be dealing with the Plakos family directly and treated well. Good prices good service. Nuff said.
We’ve been coming here for years I’ve never had an issue. Tried some of the other yards in Brooklyn could never get our weights right. At Plakos you never have to worry about their scales.
This place is awesome I got my car junked here and I called before hand and the girl in the office was so sweet and nice. She was very helpful and when I got there even the workers at the window were very nice and helpful also.
Terrible, awful person. As a woman I never been terribly disrespected with a place of business. Pretty sure it was the owner, which still doesn’t excuse the behavior and mannerism I received. Go elsewhere with your business. Trust. As I was waiting they claimed I was spying on them! As I was parked in front of their business. They will definitely be getting word of mouth of this experience from me PERSONALLY

This is the worst service i ever had, i called to ask for a part but before i finished my sentence the lady said blurted out something while i was still asking my question. i asked what she said and she blurted out again with a thank you and hung up on me. saying thank you and hanging up on someone dont make you friendly, it makes you rude and gives the company a bad taste.
