The best overall craft-beer-in-the-mountains experience you will ever encounter! The physical beauty of the place, coupled with the consistently excellent beer plus the attitude and personalities of every employee will have you seriously trying to figure out how to never leave! If you think this review is over the top, then you haven't been there yet!

Each year we stop here on our way to our ski weekend. Each year we walk in around 2:30pm on a Friday. Each year the same older gentleman with his dog is sitting at the corner of the bar. Each year we chat with the same bartender. Each year we have incredible beer. It’s truly one of the best breweries to exist.

Visited for first time after hiking on New Years Eve. Absolutely killer location. Love the vibes inside and out. Real fireplaces in the taproom and outside on the patio area. Love the rustic decor and the outside views. Not to be missed, will be back for sure.

Can’t say enough about WKB. I visit every opportunity I get. Nothing beats their delicious beers, the setting, the vibe. The food pop-ups are always delicious.

Stopped here for beers and some food after hiking Rusk etc, and would definitely return. Loved the rustic woodsy vibe and the outdoor porch and patio with views of the mountains in the spotlight would be amazing in the fall. They had a taco food truck which had amazing pulled pork tacos and I had the Brookie lager which was very good. Hands down will be back.

A perfectly fine brewery, but the standard serving size is not a pint but approximately HALF that size. So figure approx double the price shown on the menu for a pint of beer. That means a pint of beer is effectively $14 per pint for the least expensive. But the beer was good.

Excellent beers! Loved the atmosphere, the gorgeous setting and so many really good beers!

This place is as good as advertised. Some of the best beer I have ever had from a privately operated brewery. The views are outstanding and the staff very friendly. This is a must visit when you are in the Catskill Mountains.

Awesome place, good music and beautiful scenery. However, they do need to put up some umbrellas or an awning to protect people from the sun. No one wants to sit at the outdoor bar or at the tables below because it’s too burning hot. People are fighting over the few shade tables. An awning would really help. Same for some umbrellas around the fire pit area.

Great vibe with a woodsy mountain view and atmosphere. Guessing it'd be awesome for ski season. Super crowded on July 4th. Had great beers! The pizza food truck looked good but it was a long wait, maybe next time we'll try it when it's not a holiday.

Impressive little brewery off the beaten trail. Dog friendly outdoor seating. Great staff. Pleasant atmosphere. Fair pricing. My dog and I left happy. Will be back.

Great draft beer with beer to go available in cans, food options change periodically, excellent vibe and atmosphere!

This place was such a gem. Such a beautiful location with wonderful beer. They had live music on a beautiful peak fall day, and couldn't have beat the vibes.

If you are in the area, you must stop by here! The place is beautifully designed with the spirit for the outdoors. The main space to purchase beverages and snacks is spacious, the staff is nice and knowledgeable and the views…incredible. If you are in the area and want to spend some time winding down with a big or small group, this is the place! Only note: look out for their sign on the highway. You need to turn up, into the road and once you go up, you’ll see them.

What a cool brewery in the middle of nowhere! Open Fri-Sun. Well. Other than Memorial Day Sunday and Monday, which was when I was here. There was a stage with 2 all-girl bands playing rock music (Tom Prettys lol)! Beers were also way above average here. My favorite was the Moonfarmer and Falcons Prey because I seem to only like IPAs. I did try the Brookie lager, all “hooked up” with old bay rim salt (meh to the extra). Oyster days oyster stout was good too. But not my favorite. Bc it’s not an IPA probably. Food truck has tacos and fries and brownies. Left my brand new Cards Against Humanity game here and was able to get it back the next day. Perfect excuse for one last draft with a view of trees and mountains.

Awesome place for a post hike beer. A nice selection with indoor and outdoor seating. The day I went there was also a food truck for some food options. I would recommend checking this place out!

The beer is great but there is nowhere enough seating. And when it's snowing it's not fun being outside without a heater or fire because everything is full and the only thing left is one gazebo without anything to keep warm. Also the bathroom line fills up the entire inside. Things that need to be immediately fixed. You're super popular but definitely aren't built for it. I'd seriously think before I go back unless I know it's not going to be busy.

An absolute must-visit. Amazing beers, amazing views, amazing vibes. You can admire the beautiful mountains while hanging out by a fire pit, or go inside and enjoy a tasty beer while playing board or card games that are set out available to all. The staff and guests are always friendly and often have great stories to tell. Driving here is the strangest experience. You drive through beautiful mountain roads without seeing another soul. Then you arrive to a full parking lot and a lively brewery experience with people from all over. The beers are some of the tastiest you’ll ever have, and with a great selection brewed right here in the mountains using ingredients foraged locally. These beers are ones you can’t find anywhere else, they’re only sold in a small area here in the mountains. Regularly have food vendors serving things like lobster rolls or empanadas. All I could ask of the place is that they build a kitchen and serve more food so I can stay longer!

I ate half of this brisket sandwich before taking a picture, but I just couldn't keep my hands off it. It's delicious. The hazy IPA on tap was magnificent as well. A great brewery to visit with a nice atmosphere and nice people. Be sure to look up directions for where you want to go before getting there - if you have Verizon cellular, you won't have any service for miles.

EXCELLENT BREWERY EXPERIENCE! We have visited many breweries on the east coast, and West Kill is easily one of the most unique and memorable. The atmosphere is like no other, nestled in the mountains with a rustic outdoor attitude. The beers were fantastic, and the service was great, especially for how busy it was. We purchased beer to go and some merch to accompany memories from the stop we will have until we return. This certainly falls into the MUST SEE category. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended! Great brews, great service, super food, and the views, priceless. Best little place tucked right into the mountains. Go there! West Kill Brewery, a MUST if you are in the area!

One of the best brewery I’ve been to. The beer is good and fresh. The view is AMAZING on the mountains and the staff very nice. This is a convivial place that I highly recommend. I’ll come back!?

Found this place on a warm New Years Day up in the mountains and at the end of a great drive. The beer was great and the crowd was fun. Talked to many people around the fire pits and got some ideas for other activities with the kids while there. The kids had fun playing in the woods and throwing the football around. Don’t forget to check out the swag store for some cool merch we found.

The drive itself was a scenic review of the area, how it was settled and what remains of the past. The brewery is in a lovely setting and has a small but diverse selection of brews. It was chilly on the day after Thanksgiving, so standing around the blazing fire pit was appreciated! An overall pleasing social experience set up here. Highly recommend.

To me the beer was poor I see everyone raving about it - it’s okay if craft IPA beer is all you know. Located at the end of a nowhere road so it’s a destination place. So it needs to be worth the ride. Beer sold at $7 for a 8oz glass that would be better to sever wine in. Fortunately for them they seem to be doing better than their products deserve

Worth the drive (and the drive is beautiful)! We stopped here after hiking the Spruceton Trail up to the Hunter Fire Tower. Beer was fresh and delicious, the pop up food tent was great. WiFi, fire pit, friendly owners/employees. Dog and kid friendly. Live music was starting up when we were leaving so unfortunately we missed that. Incredible experience and views. Trying to figure out an excuse to get back here sooner rather than later!

Went for Oysters Event, also loved the Lobster Roll. Will return because the beer (Dead Rabbit Stout) is good and the employees are very nice and easy to talk to, even with several layers of cotton covering words. Wish I was closer. The brewery sits on a hillside that looks out over another. There are fire pits with seating, one patio heater (that should've been on) under cover with 4 tables and more picnic tables scattering the hillside. A bit challenging if up or down hill is hard on your legs or knees but worth the try. Thanks West Kill your Oyster and Lobster Roll lunch was tasty and the beer was excellent.

Cozy outdoor seating area underneath a wooden roof. Also an exposed area around a HUGE warm fire pit! I enjoyed the Hefeweizen and Pilsner. Great vibes for a few cold beers!

I have been following the brewery on IG for awhile now and have been wanting to check them out. They are quite a hike from the lower Hudson Valley. They offer some great pop up eating options, but unfortunately I believe you have to get there quite early to be able to take advantage of them. The beer that we tried was good. We liked the layer back country atmosphere of the brewery. We would have to go back again on a quieter weekend to be able to really take advantage of what they have to offer.

Great spot! Good beer, good food (from the food trucks), and a really nice outdoor area to spread out and have plenty of space. Dog-friendly and kid-friendly so it checked all the boxes for us. We can't wait to come back again!
