VERY Disappointed! The metal bar on my garbage tote broke and they left me a note to call Hwy Dept. Now they expect me to pay $65.00 to replace the tote, even though its ages old, and that bar was rusty and corroded!!
Don't I pay enough for Amherst taxes every year???
Do I have a choice if I want my tote picked up each week? Probably not.
Frustrated.
When there is little snow, I use a small hand plow and tend to shovel the snow well into the road and then shovel it onto the curb. This morning, before shoveling it from the road, the plow came down the street and when arriving at our house, slowed way down so that the snow would not be hurled way into the driveway. So kind, and helpful. Thank you!
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for getting Ayer Rd restriped before the start of the 24-25 school year. Added bonus of it being restriped as a NoPassing is that the traffic has slowed a bit too.
If I could give the Amherst Highway Department a 0, I would. Complete Incompetence! For the high taxes we pay, you ask for a task to be completed to get done their department is responsible for... Never getting done... Every excuse when you call for it not to get done, that is a public safety and health issue, putting us all at risk!
I Want to thank the Amherst Highway department for helping us out with our recyclable bags of grass that were soaked in the rain last week and broke. I called the highway dept. & they came out on Saturday morning to pick them up. Thank you Jim L. for helping us out.
A huge thank you to the highway department. I called at 9:15 this morning (Friday 5/6) about the yard waste not getting picked up on my street during my regular garbage day (Thursday). The employee put in a request to have a truck come out and by 10am they arrived.
The spruce trees in the circle in front of our house had recently sustained damage from storms. The technicians from the forest department did an excellent job clearing and trimming broken branches. On behalf of the residents of our street, thank you.
We just had our street down, South Forest Rd. Your men were very professional. I let one of the workers (Andy, believe) I was a disabled veteran & have a lot of appointments at the VA. The worker n your staff I was able to get out. I want to thank your workers to do much. By the way, the street looks fantastic.
I live in willow ridge complex why does it take 24-48 hrs for a snow plow to come down my street when I see them going down other streets in complex with plows raised LOL
